Hawaii Dental Clinic was founded as a small, one-dentist office in 1983 by Dr. Roger T.L. Wong. From the beginning of the practice, Dr. Roger and his team were committed to providing high-quality care to all patients. Over the resulting decades, the office grew to accommodate multiple doctors, hygienists, and administrative staff.
Today, Hawaii Dental Clinic is a fully modern dental facility. We employ digital diagnostic equipment such as the Orthoralix DDE Panoramic system, Gendex digital sensors, intra-oral cameras, and an integrated system of X-Rays and patient charts. Current diagnostic tools enable our dentists and hygienists to identify the true source of dental problems and to accurately diagnose dental-related disease.
Although we have increased our office size over the years, our main office location has always been in the Kukui Plaza commercial plaza at the intersection of South Beretania and Bethel Streets. Our dental office location near Downtown and Chinatown enables us to serve a wide variety of patients who live and work near the heart of Honolulu.
Our front office staff is knowledgeable regarding all forms of dental insurance. We would be happy to analyze your current insurance and provide you with an estimate of cost prior to receiving treatment. For patients without insurance, our fees are set at a usual, customary, and reasonable amount determined by major dental insurance companies nationwide.

Can't say enough about Dr. Kim and staff! I just had a pleasurable experience at the dentist!!!! Dr.s Harada, Kim. Shinsato and their staff are so very professional and good at what they do. They put me at ease. Easy to get to. Great parking. You even have a view from the chair! So glad I found them.

Friendly front office with a chair outfitted with a massaging pad! Other than that Jason the dental hygienist and Dr. Harada are great. Great personalities and easy to talk with. 9/8/22- Hoku was my hygienist today and she was awesome!

Honestly the nicest people I have come across in a long time. Amy is awesome and the most helpful anyone could possibly be. Her and the doctor helped and guided me with treatment options, with more effort than I expected, by far. Really glad to have found this place.

I had decided to change location for services of dental service. I had been going to the Downtown location since college with my family with Roger Wong. However, for the last 4 years the service at the desk, dentist (new hygienist and Dr. , since R. Wong sold business) has been been poor. I won't elaborate but I will say I live closer to Kahala location, don't have to pay for parking, front desk service is better and my comfort level, so far, is better. It takes a lot for me to change dentist & location after 20+ years at the same location. So it should tell you something indirectly. I hope this Kahala location doesn't let me down moving on. -- April 2022 I've returned to this location for yearly check up and am still happy with the staff, services and close to my home. 10/10

Great experience! I called soon after my long-time bridge fell off and got an appointment right away. I mentioned that my tongue had an abrasion from constant rubbing against the bridge fastener. After it was reinserted, the surface was smooth. Thank you, Dr. Harada! A few weeks later a new bridge was ordered for me that was not only good looking but fit perfectly! Thank you, Dr. Kim!
