Dr. Rosala graduated in 1989 from the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University Frankfurt in Germany. After being an associate with Professor Dr. Klaus P. Gross in Frankfurt for 2 years, he continued practicing Dentistry in his own office for the next 15 years.
His pursuit of excellence and unrelenting interest in Dental Arts made him start early in his career with Implant Dentistry, Laser Dentistry, CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacturing) Same Day Dentistry, and Comprehensive Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Rosala performed his first Implant Surgery in 1991 and purchased the first Dental Laser just a few years after opening his office in Germany in 1992.
Besides passionately practicing Dentistry, Dr. Rosala completed his Doctorate in Dentistry in 1992 and earned furthermore a Diploma in Naturopathic Medicine as well as a Diploma in Acupuncture with the German Academy for Acupuncture and Auriculomedicine.
After visiting and falling in love with the beautiful Islands of Hawaii, he passed the American National Boards I /II in 1999 and the Dental License Examination for the State of Hawaii in 2001. Dr. Rosala feels blessed to have had the opportunity and chance to move to Hawaii with his family in 2008 and is thankfully serving the community in Honolulu and Kailua since then.

I first saw Dr. Bogdan Rosala in May of 2019, and I have had nothing but good experiences with him! Dr. Rosala is a compassionate but also honest dentist. He will not sugarcoat a situation, especially if it is a very serious one, but he is understanding and patient. And he is very thorough with his explanations. In terms of skill, I can attest that Dr. Rosala can (figuratively ) pull rabbits out of his magic hat. Believe me, I can attest to that based on the dental situation that I was faced with in 2019 after my initial visit. Where other dentists would probably have opted for extractions and implants, Dr. Rosala managed to save just about all of my teeth through root canals and crowns. It has been a long and at times painful journey, but somehow, we got through it. In terms of pricing, Dr. Rosala runs a small practice, and, with Covid and so much else that comes with living in one of the most expensive places in America, some costs are inevitable. Dr. Rosala does accept HDS, however, and I have had little, if any issues, with them. And, as mentioned above, Dr. is also very understanding when it comes to his patients and their particular situation, so if you are faced with tough finances, I am sure Dr. will do his best to work within your budget. Manoa is very fortunate to have someone like Dr. Bogdan Rosala as the neighborhood dentist. He is very good at what he does, and he's an all-around great guy. But most of all, I'm grateful that he worked so hard to save my teeth. Aloha

Dr. Rosala is the best dentist I ever had, he is the first dentist that I finally 100% trust. All my life I feared going to a dentist, because there were always issues with my teeth post treatment. Dr. Rosala is gentle, precise, has an amazing bedside manner, listens to your concerns, does beautiful job with cosmetic dentistry, his office is clean and neat and lastly he is very professional. If you are looking for a brilliant Dentist look no further. I am a very difficult patient and if I am happy with his work, I am sure you will be too. He will be seeing my whole family for dental care. I can't say enough good things about his practice. Thank you for your hard work.

I love the team at Hawaii Cosmetic Dental! My experience has always been great, and even fun (I know, weird to say about your dentist, but they're just that awesome). Dr. Rosala is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and honest. He will work with you to achieve all your dental dreams in the most pleasant way possible. Dora is so kind, very funny and makes me feel so at ease. Christina always makes sure I am aware of any upcoming appointments and our interactions have always been genuinely delightful. I went from dreading the dentist, to not even sweating it at all and even looking forward to some visits because those were the days my teeth were about to get perfected. I have never felt so confident with my smile and I am thankful for the team at Hawaii Cosmetic Dental for helping me get there.

I started seeing Dr. Rosala by default, he replaced my retiring dentist of 15 years. After only a few visits I knew he would be my dentist for at least the next 15 years. His approach is honest, holistic and personal. When I wanted my teeth whitened, he suggested a different treatment to smooth out the rough edges I had from age and wear and tear. It took him awhile to convince me it was a better approach and now that it is done I am a believer! Trust Dr. Rosala to do what is most effective in the health and beauty of your teeth.

I went to Dr Rosala to ask about implants for two teeth that my regular dentist had given up on . Dr. Rosala studied my teeth carefully, and came up with another plan. It consisted of 3 root canals and 5 crowns. The result is wonderful and actually cost less than the implants would have. I highly recommend him for serious dental work.
