Dr. Gonzalez first entered the dental field as an assistant before deciding to go further with her training. Why? The answer to that question is very simple she simply couldnt imagine doing anything else! This world has felt like a second home to her over the years, and shes never regretted her decision to make oral healthcare a lifelong career.
After the completion of her undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona, Dr. Gonzalez achieved her Doctor of Dental Surgery with a scholarship at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. She chose to work as a faculty member of the school after graduation, teaching patients and students alike, before making the transition to private practice. Today, she regularly pursues continuing education to stay up to date with the latest dental innovations. This commitment includes advanced training in dental implants in particular.
Dr. Gonzalez has three children and two grandchildren. When she isnt busy treating teeth, she likes to spend quality time with her loved ones, traveling, and do pretty much anything outdoors particularly hiking!
From a young age, Dr. Kurtz had a strong interest in science and medicine, and he knew early on that he was going to pursue a career in medicine. He eventually chose dentistry in particular because it presented him with a unique opportunity to build strong relationships with patients in need while also working directly with his hands. Several years later, hes never regretted his decision!
After graduating from Arizona State University, Dr. Kurtz completed his DMD at Midwestern Universitys Arizona campus. He also performed an oral surgery externship at Highland Hospital in Oakland, CA, working directly with their Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team on cases ranging from simple extractions to complex trauma and dental implants. Today, he has received extensive advanced training in dental implant procedures through multiple prestigious organizations. Hes additionally certified in Invisalign and laser dentistry.
Dr. Kurtz is happily married to his high school sweetheart Brooke, and they have two kids named Kade and Kali. When he isnt busy at the dental office, you can typically find him enjoying quality time out on the water with his family and friends. He also enjoys scuba diving and traveling.
