Dr. Heidi received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry (now the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry) in 1985 and, then, completed a one-year Residency in General Practice at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Palo Alto. After working for five years as an associate dentist, she opened her practice in her beloved community of Castro Valley.
Dr. Heidi balances her love of clinical practice with teaching as an Assistant Professor in Restorative Dentistry at Pacific, teaching first year dental students restorative dentistry technique for over thirty years.
Dr. Heidi is committed to lifelong learning and staying current in modern dentistry techniques. She achieved a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), an award that requires 1,100 hours of continuing dental education with 400 hours of hands-on participation learning.
She has received several awards for her contributions to the profession of dentistry. She is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Dental Honor Society, which recognizes 12% of the top 20% of her dental school class. She has Fellowships in the Pierre Fauchard Academy (PFA), the Academy of Dentistry International (ADI), and the International College of Dentists (ICD). All of these organizations award their Fellowships with a rigorous peer-reviewed process that uses professionalism, service to the profession, leadership and integrity as benchmarks. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. Approximately 3.5% of dentists hold ACD Fellowships which are awarded based on ethics, professionalism and leadership.
Dr. Heidi has served in many leadership positions in her profession. She served as past Trustee of Region XIII of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). She is also a Past President of the California AGD and Northern California AGD Component, a Past President of the California Society of Dentistry for Children, a Past President of the Southern Alameda County Dental Society and a Past President of the OKU Dental Honor Society, Delta Delta Chapter.
Dr. Heidi also enjoys being involved in her community of Castro Valley. She was the recipient of the Eden Area Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year 2018. She is proud to be a Rotarian for over 25 years and loved being President of the Rotary Club of Castro Valley 2014-15. (She says that was the 'BEST ROTARY YEAR EVER' and dressed up as the tooth fairy on her first rotary meeting). She enjoyed participating in Castro Valley Rotary events like the Pancake Putt Putt, Chili Cook Off and Rowell Ranch Rodeo Parade as well as the Castro Valley Light Parade.
Dr. Heidi is an only child who loves spending time with her mom. In non-pandemic years, she also enjoys cruising, traveling and dancing West Coast Swing, She collects Christmas ornaments and loves having Christmas parties (also in non-pandemic years). She also collects teas and teapots and loves all places Disney.

Tiffany and Dr. Heidi have worked together since 2007. She obtained her Registered Dental Assistant License in 2002 in Southern California where she was raised. She has worked in the back office alongside Dr. Heidi and is currently at the front office working as office manager. She enjoys helping and interacting with patients. Tiffany loves to travel, dine out, cook, bake and go shopping. She values quality time with her husband and two children.
Marcos, a 1996 graduate of the Chabot Dental Hygiene Program, is proud to have worked with Dr. Hausauer for the past 24 years. He is committed to helping our patients achieve the best oral health possible.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, his son and daughter both attended Castro Valley Schools. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, cooking, being outdoors and spending time with his wife. He looks forward to working with Dr. Hausauer for many more years. (We look forward to that, too).
Born in San Francisco, she is a Bicentennial graduate of Mount Eden High School and received her A. A. from Chabot College in their Dental Assisting Program. She received her RDH from University of Texas, San Antonio, Allied Health. She has worked in the dental profession since 1979 and as a Hygienist, in private general dental practice since 1995.
She has also given back to the community and dental profession by serving as a Volunteer RDH for the Alameda Dental Public Health Department and in the Grassroots Sealants Program K-12 for the Alameda Unified School District. Since 2008, she has also been a Volunteer Co-Sponsor Chair for the Chabot Dental Health Education Fund Committee, a non-profit organization providing Continuing Education Courses for Dental Professionals in our community.
She is happy to have joined our practice and prides herself on helping our patients keep their teeth and gums healthy. In her spare time, she enjoys motorcycle riding with her husband and making memorable adventures with her grandkids.
