Dr. Hatfield was born and raised in La Grange. After graduating from La Grange High School he attended Texas A&M University and received a BS in Zoology in 1978. He earned his DDS degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston in 1982. After graduating from dental school he began practicing with his family dentist, Dr. C. Garrette Ray. In 1987 he opened his own practice, Hatfield Dental Clinic PC, on the main square in La Grange and sold it in 2015. He briefly practiced dentistry in Bastrop and Moulton until 2019 when he returned to La Grange to reopen Hatfield Dental Clinic PC in the location where he first began his dental career.
He is married to Mary Ann, an accomplished pianist and organist in the area, and they have 4 grown children and 6 grandchildren. He has belonged to numerous civic, Christian and professional organizations throughout the years and was awarded Fayette County Citizen of the Year in 2016. He, his practice and staff have received multiple awards over the years through the Fayette County Record 's 'Best Of' contest. Dr. Hatfield enjoys spending his free time with his family along with hunting, fishing, and all things Aggie. He is the host of The Doctor 's Corner radio show every Friday morning on KVLG, 104.9FM. Dr. Hatfield loves his vocation and looks forward to practicing dentistry and serving the community for many more years.
Stephanie is our Office Manager and Insurance Coordinator. She joined our team in October 2019 and has 11+ years of dental experience. She keeps things running smoothly to make your experience with our office a good one. She is knowledgeable in dental insurance and can assist with all your dental insurance needs. She lives in Brenham, TX with her husband and 4 children. She enjoys spending time with her family and children in all their extra-curricular activities and is an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan!
I enjoy being able to help each patient with their specific needs. Insurance can be extremely difficult to understand and I pride myself in my abilities to make sure every patient enjoys their experience with our office and not have to worry about insurance issues.
Lilee is our Patient Coordinator. She joined our team in May 2021. She is a Registered Dental Assistant, who graduated from Dental Assisting Options in March of 2021. She lives in Moulton, Tx with her Fiance and 2 Pups. She enjoys spending time with family and friends on her time off.
Janis is one of our Hygienists. She has been practicing Dental Hygiene for the past 35+ years so far, with most of the time spent working with Dr. Hatfield. She attended the Dental Hygiene program at Wharton County Jr College in Wharton, Tx. Janis received the prestigious Reader's Choice Award in 2019 and 2020 Best of Fayette County for Best Dental Hygienist. Her main focus is on treating and restoring gingival health to all of her patients. Janis treats every patient as if they are an extended part of her family. She enjoys being able to provide a calming, comforting and gentle yet thorough experience to even the most anxious patients!
Tori is one of our Hygienists. She was born and raised in La Grange, TX. She has been with our office since September 2019. She has been practicing Dental Hygiene for 7 years. She earned her degree from Wharton County Jr College in 2014 where she earned Outstanding Dental Hygiene Student. She has also earned Most Outstanding Dental Hygienist in the Brazos Valley area while working in College Station prior to moving back to La Grange in 2019. She currently lives in La Grange with her husband Jake and son Stetson.
Carolyn is a Registered Dental Assistant . She has worked for Dr Hatfield since 2018 and has 39+ years of dental experience. She is very efficient and knowledgeable in her field of work. She does a fantastic job of making every patient feel comfortable in the dental chair. She currently resides in La Grange, TX and loves to be with her family. She is a mom to 3 beautiful children all of whom are married and a Nana to 6 grandchildren.
Donna is a Registered Dental Assistant. She joined our office in February 2020. She has 17+ years of dental experience. She takes pride in being able to help our patients understand all their dental needs. She lives in Giddings, TX with her husband and 3 children.
Estela is a Registered Dental Assistant. She joined our team in March 2021. She graduated from Dental Assisting Options in 2020. She is an asset to our team as she is bilingual, has shown great social skills and is comforting to our patients. She lives in Ellinger and enjoys being an aunt to her 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
Rebecca is one of our Patient Coordinators. She joined our team December 2021. She has 18+ years of customer service and receptionist experience. Developing a good relationship with people is important to Rebecca as she strives to meet patient needs. She is a Rockdale native and moved to La Grange in 1983 with her husband, David. They have been married 39 years, have 2 adult children who are both married and enjoy 8 grandchildren. Rebecca loves spending time with her family, kayaking, fishing and just enjoying the great outdoors.

I don't care what kind of problem you have you cannot have a bad experience here. Every member of the staff is absolutely the best in their field. I had horrible dental anxiety where I was physically shake and cry through every procedure. That is gone now after becoming patient at his office. Honestly the best place I've ever been to and I've been A LOT of places

I drive from Bryan college station to Lagrange just to visit Hatfeild Dental. I've had dental work since I was young child. Braces retainers and cleanings. Hatfeild is the best Dentist I have ever seen. He's caring gentle and pays attention to detail. Janis the hygienist cleans not only my teeth she cleans my mothers . She's awesome also gentle and so kind . I absolutely adore Hatfeild dental and the drive is no problem because I receive the BEST CARE . Thank you Hatfeild Dental for making patients priority.

Dr Hatfield and his staff are always friendly and want the best for you. He always suggests what would be the best treatment and whether to keep a tooth or not keep a tooth but he's always a straight shooter and always makes me feel very very comfortable sitting in that chair

I cannot recommend Dr. Hatfield and his team enough! They have been the absolute best so far. In my past experiences with other practices, the dentists usually sits with me for maybe 5 minutes then scoots you out the door. Not this team! They were so patient, they sat down and took their time with me. They went through all of my symptoms-- many of which I had no idea were even connected. I've been trying to find answers for my issues for nearly 20 years--and I feel like they put all the puzzle pieces together that so many doctors have just shrugged at. If you're looking for a calm, patient, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable dentist & team, you've found the right place!

It was a very friendly and awesome experience. The staff is really amazing and as I was sitting in the dental chair I could hear people talking and laughing, so refreshing. Dr Hatfield is really cordial and so easy talk to. Loved my visit !

Doc Hatfield made what could have been a most unenjoyable experience a breeze! 2 root canals, one on each side.. I thought my jaw would be a lot more sore!!! Thanks Doc for the witty banter that distracted me!!

I always dreaded a dentist visit but the folks at Hatfield Dental Clinic are so friendly and kind while attending to me! They don't try to sell you extra services unless you ask for information about a procedure. They stand behind their work. From the front desk to the Dr. You are treated like a really good friend!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Hatfield and his practice. I have had a couple bad experiences with dentists where they tell me I need to replace multiple fillings or have 10+ cavities when that wasn't the case. Not only does Dr. Hatfield go over every possible alternative with you before needing more extreme work done, but he makes you feel comfortable the ENTIRE time. I wish I never went to any other dentist!!
