Dr. Hyrum Greg Hatch had an early interest in the field of dentistry. His father worked as a general dentist in Pomona, California, where Dr. Hatch was born and raised. At age eight, his family moved to Tempe, Arizona.
He finished his college degree at Brigham Young University in Utah, and returned to California to finish his doctoral degree. He graduated as Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry.
With over 27 years of experience as a lecturer and clinician, Dr. Hatch has broad expertise in a wide range of dental practices. He is a part-time faculty member at the USC School of Dentistry Department of Anesthesia and Medicine. He is also a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, American Dental Association, Central Arizona Dental Society, and Arizona State Dental Association.
Besides his local dental practice, Dr. Hatch is also an advocate of charitable work. He is a board member of the Flying Samaritans and serves as the project coordinator of the Dental School project in Lima, Peru, spearheaded by the Academy of LDS Dentists, San Marcos.
Dr. Mason B. Konkle is a native Texan, born in Austin. He studied at the Lyndon B. Johnson Science Academy and, after graduating high school, he continued his education at Brigham Young University where he earned his engineering degree. During his college years, Dr. Konkle developed an interest in dentistry after getting cosmetic dental treatment for his aesthetic issues. Right after getting this treatment, Dr. Konkle prepared for dental school.
Dr. Konkle and his wife, Dr. Jennifer Hatch-Konkle met when they were still in college. They got married and shortly, they moved to San Antonio, Texas. Here, they both studied dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center and received their Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degrees.
Dr. Konkle received training in intravenous sedation from the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry. He is a member of the Arizona Dental Association, Central Arizona Dental Society, and American Dental Association. He also received the coveted James P. Vernetti Award in dental school, recognizing his skills in restorative dentistry.
Dr. Jennifer H. Konkle was born while Dr. Hatch was finishing his doctoral degree at the University of Southern California. A few years later, they moved to Arizona where her father began a private dental practice. After graduating from Chandler High School, Dr. Konkle moved to Utah to study Nutritional Science. While at Brigham Young University, she met her husband, Dr. Mason Konkle.
While finishing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Dr. Jennifer Konkle received numerous awards such as the Clinical Performance Award, Comprehensive Dentistry Award, and Academy of Operative Dentistry Award. She is also a member of the Central Arizona Dental Society, Arizona Dental Association, and American Dental Association.
Dr. Tanner graduated Cum Laude from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Creighton University School of Dentistry, also graduating Cum Laude. His wife, Rebecca, grew up as a patient in our practice, and her parents, siblings and even her grandmother have been patients in our practice for more than 30 years.
When it comes to clinical practice, Dr. Tanner values the best interests of his patients. It is his philosophy that each patient comes to us with his or her own questions, concerns, fears, beliefs, and needs. In his words, I make sure my patients concerns are understood, their questions addressed, and their dental care delivered with care and understanding. Dr. Tanner enjoys all aspects of dentistry but has admitted to a fascination and a desire to continuously study implant placement and endodontics (root canals). Dr. Tanner is a member of the International Dental Implant Association and is proud to have been awarded a mastership in the organization.
Outside of the office, Dr. Tanner enjoys any type of competitive activity including running, racquetball, and other sports. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Rebecca, their daughters Kyree and Lily, and their son Reece. As a family, they spend time together cheering at the kids respective sports functions, playing board games as a family, and heading out for ice cream (the kids favorite treat!). He also enjoys relaxing on a Saturday, building furniture, assembling computers, and tinkering with electronics. He is also fluent in Spanish, having served a two-year church mission in Concepcion, Chile.

Making the decision to go here was painful, given that I am only 37 and facing the prospect of having to get all of my top teeth removed and get dentures. So walking into the office I was already feeling emotional and self conscious. The entire staff, and I do mean 100% of the staff, made me feel so comfortable and welcome from the moment I walked in. I'm still heartbroken that I have to wear dentures, but between Dr. Konkle doing the extractions and Dr. David making my denture and partial, the whole experience has been truly amazing. For the first time in decades I actually feel confident in my smile, and I no longer cover my mouth when I smile or laugh. Everyone here goes out of their way to make you comfortable. Truthfully I can understand why they are called Hatch Family Dentistry, because they make you feel like family. I would recommend them for anything and everything from cleanings, fillings, dentures or implants. I promise you will have a new dental office for life if you go see them. Thank you guys so much for all that you do.

I've been a patient for a few years now. I'm very happy with their care. I'm a big baby about the dentist, and have had some bad experiences elsewhere, but everyone at Hatch has been kind, gentle, careful and communicative. So glad to have a great dental office in my city!

Pretty great dentist and hygienists here. Always on time for appointments and friendly. The front desk is the issue because they have messed up my billing on my account multiple times and have given me several different estimates vs charges. Each time it's a higher charge and having to paying out more money. When I called to discuss the issue the receptionist began then talking over me and yelling. It was so unprofessional and I cannot believe the way I would be yelled at when I was just trying to clarify the billing to better understand. She then called back and was still giving attitude during her apology. Which then she proceeded to talk down to me like I didn't understand what she was saying. It's sad that they have someone working their front desk driving customers away with her inability to talk to customers with respect.

Fantastic Dental Office and the Staff is AWESOME !!!!!! The expertise in this office is really amazing. I had a very bad chip on my front upper tooth from eating something last night and they found a way to fit me in today and got it down for me!!!! Best Dental office EVER !!!!!

Very pleased with all the staff at Hatch Family Dentistry. Sammy (hygienist) is a great teacher/motivator and I've learned so many good tips for saving what is left of my teeth and gums. I feel very confident in the type of dentistry offered there.

I have been going to this Family Run business for many years and have referred lots of people to them. They are extremely helpful and down to earth. I have used their in-house insurance and found it met my needs but am now on Medicare with a plan that includes their office.

Absolutely loved coming here! Everyone is so sweet and kind. It's been waaaay too long since I've been able to go to a dentist so, I know there's a lot of things to be done for me but, Dr. Konkle and his assistant were so nice and made me feel very comfortable. They answered all my questions regarding the filling I was getting. I'll for sure be going back and trusting them to take care of whatever else I need done!
