Raul O. Franco, DDS grew up in Colorado Springs and earned his bachelors degree in Biochemistry from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. He earned his Doctor of Dentistry from the University of Nebraska Medicine College of Dentistry. During dental school Dr. Franco commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force.
After graduating from dental school he was promoted to the rank of Captain and proceeded to serve 4 years on active duty. Dr. Franco completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with the United States Air Force at Offutt, AFB in Omaha, NE. During his residency Dr. Franco completed over 150 hours of advanced education expanding his skill set to include dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, wisdom teeth removal, root canals, and a variety of advanced surgical procedures. After residency he was stationed at McConnell, AFB in Wichita, KS for three years. Serving his country remains one of his proudest accomplishments.
Dr. Franco is married to Allison Kern, DDS who grew up in Hastings. They recently had a baby boy! They could not be happier to be working together and starting a family in Hastings. It is an exciting time for both of them and they feel blessed to be part of this great community. They are excited to become involved and support the community.
Dr. Franco is a member of the American Dental Association, the Nebraska Dental Association, and the Southeast District Dental Society. He is committed to providing the highest quality of care to his patients and believes building a relationship based on trust with his patients and their families is essential. Integrity First is an Air Force core value that he is committed to upholding at all times and under all circumstances for his patients and the community.
During their downtime Dr. Franco and Dr. Kern both enjoy outdoor activities especially boating, water skiing, and wakeboarding. Dr. Franco loves bowhunting, grilling, camping, and spending quality time with friends and family. They live an active lifestyle of biking, running, golfing and hiking. And of course they are both Husker fans! GO BIG RED!

I was so nervous due to having a negative experience with a dentist as a child. Dr. Franco was very gentle and explained everything thoroughly to put me at ease. If I would have known that it was going to be such a great experience, I wouldn't have put if off this long!

Made a same day appointment for a chipped tooth. The staff was very friendly and welcoming considering for me being from Idaho, this was a one time visit. The Dr advised me on what procedure my hometown dentist in Idaho will likely perform. I called at 11am and was able to be seen at 2:30! That never happens...anywhere! Loved the message chairs! Thank again!!

i had to replace an old crown. They did it in the time frame they said they could. The staff was very professional from the front desk to the dentist. It was really quite painless and i would recommend them.

Always the best care and service. My wife lives in Florida part time, but she still does all of her dental care with Dr. Bauer. Both of us have been coming to this clinic for decades.

They were able to get us in very quickly when my child knocked a tooth out. We usually go to another dentist, but they were closed and couldn't see us. Dr. Franco and the rest of the staff were great! Would recommend!!

I have went to this office since I was 4 yrs old. My whole family now goes to Dr. Franco at the 2nd street location. Wouldn't go anywhere else! He treats my kids like "family" not just another "patient" coming into the office. Amazing service and friendly staff all around!

Prompt friendly service. I travel 60+ miles for my dental care. Why? Nearly painless procedures. Minimum time in the "chair". Same day crown service. Professional and friendly staff. We have always changed dentists when we moved. Not this time.

Dr Bauer is always great when I come in. The front staff was friendly as always. I had a new dental hygenist this time. She did a great job and she had a gal that helped her. I appreciated the awesome teamwork!
