I have been a part of this practice since 1999. I received my undergraduate degree in biology in 1990 at Appalachian State University. I then traveled to UNC Chapel Hill where I spent many years preparing for the privilege of making your smile beautiful. At UNC I received a doctorate in Dentistry in 1994.
To further my knowledge, I then entered a two-year general practice residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals. This residency was a true blessing because I was able to work on so many diverse patients each with very special needs. This residency exposed me to cutting edge techniques and treatments. In 1996 I entered into a three-year orthodontic residency at UNC. This was an opportunity for me to do what I had always dreamed about as a child-engineering.
When God placed those dreams in my spirit those many years ago, I never in a million years thought that I would be engineering beautiful smiles! I love my job. My job allows me to change lives in a positive way. I see my patients come into their first visit with concerns that are anywhere from aesthetic to mechanical. As their treatment continues, I am joyful in seeing personalities bloom and pains dissolve. I see self esteem and confidence explode through the course of their treatment. This job is a gift!
I am married to Nicole and have six children: Alec, Anna-Kathryn, Noah, Sophie, Cole, and Drew. I love being a husband and a dad. I consider that my most important occupation. My goal is to raise six incredible children grounded in Gods Word who then will become strong steadfast adults who proclaim Christ in every facet of their lives. In my free time, I enjoy exercising, hanging with the family watching movies, anything about sharks and car shows. I enjoy working on muscle cars and teaching Nicole to spin tires!
Dr. Hass is a member of the following organizations: North Carolina Dental Association, North Carolina Association of Orthodontists, North Carolina Dental Society, Western Piedmont Dental Society, Foothills Dental Continuum, North Carolina/South Carolina Damon Study Club, American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association.
Meet our Scheduling coordinator, Michaela! She is the newbie of the crew who has been here for a year. Michaela loves hiking with her four-legged child, Charlee. She is a graphic designer by trade, but a donut lover by heart. She loves the beach and is married to her high school sweetheart, Cody.
Meet our Clinical Assistant, Adrian! Shes the life of the party who has been here for 3 years! Adrians sidekick is her dog, Izzy, and is married to her best friend, Aaron. Together they have horses, chickens, goats, cats, dogs, and an indoor pig! Adrian and her husband enjoy hunting bucks.
Meet our Clinical Assistant, Brynna! Shes the baby of the pack who has been with us for 3 years. Brynna loves her fur baby, Lacey. Her main squeeze is her high school sweetheart, Josh. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family and loves beach trips!
Meet our Clinical Assistant, Hannah! Shes the momma of the pack who has been with us for 4 years. Hannah and her husband keep busy raising two teenagers. Youll find this fun lady at the dirt bike track watching her son do what he loves or shopping with her daughter. In her spare time, Hannah creates T-shirts.
Meet our Clinical Assistant, Ashlyn! This ray of sunshine has been here for 5 years. Ashlyn loves being out on the lake, especially boating and jetskiing. Kickboxing, Hawaiian pizza, and her Chocolate Lab, Boomer, are some of her favorite things.
Meet our Treatment Coordinator, Shannon! She is the jokester of the bunch who has been here for 7 years. Shannon enjoys traveling with her husband, especially to Florida. Shes the best Mimi to her sweet granddaughter, Ayda, and loves her Morkie, Amin.
Meet our Financial Coordinator, Sarah! She has been a part of the Hass team for over 20 years! Sarah coaches swim at a local high school. She enjoys traveling across the country and riding side-by-side with her family. She loves muscle cars and murder mystery shows. This busy lady is starting to raise her own mini-farm.

My daughter has been to this orthodontist office only a handful of times, but I can already tell all of my kids will be going here from now on. The staff has been extremely friendly in every instance, and had no issues with me sitting with my daughter while she got her braces on. I really appreciated how they spoke specifically to HER about caring for her braces, as ultimately this will instill personal responsibility on her. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

I have been a patient here since I was in middle school. That was over 15 years ago. I feel like family every time I walk in the door whether it's been years or weeks since I've been here. They always have my best interest and I trust them. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

After mentioning to the scheduling that my child has Medicaid the receptionist made the appointment. I took time away from work and my child missed school only to get to the office and be told they don't accept Medicaid. Wasted time and money for nothing. All this place is is a money racket!
