I attended Vanderbilt University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. My Doctor of Dental Surgery degree was awarded from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. After graduation, I did my orthodontic residency at the University of Texas Houston Dental Branch, where I earned a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, as well as a Master of Science degree.
Hi, Dr. Anthony Harwell here! Thanks for taking the time to read a little bit about me. I was raised in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1988. My journey with orthodontics began at a very young age, helping out in my fathers orthodontics practice as a second-grader. I ended up taking over my fathers practice after 25 years of working side by side as orthodontists. I am proud to keep my fathers kindhearted and dedicated patient care philosophy alive at Harwell & Cook Orthodontics.

I then went on to the University of Oklahomas College of Dentistry to obtain my Doctorate of Dental Surgery and remained in Oklahoma for my orthodontic residency where I received a Master of Science degree and Certificate of Orthodontics in 2014.
Hi, Dr. Cook here! Thank you so much for taking the time to read about who I am. I grew up in the small town of Meers, OK. I was drawn to orthodontics because of the fields unique focus on helping people become their best selves and its inspiring mix of science and art. I also wanted to specialize in treating the demographic of adolescents to make a positive impact on their lives. I joined Harwell & Cook Orthodontics in 2014 because of the excellent professional chemistry he felt with Dr. Harwell and our shared desire to put patients first and help them smile out loud, blossom, and gain the confidence to show their personalities.

We chose Harwell & Cook Orthodontics to take over our child's orthodontic care when we recently moved to the area. We met with Allison and Dr. Harwell. Both were friendly and courteous. They made us feel at home in their practice. I feel confident that their team will provide quality care for our child.

The staff is so friendly. ALLISON MASK was so helpful. Very informative, down to earth, casual yet very professional. Great deals and prices, they make it so easy to workout the financial side. They explained the process of our oral treatment in simple terms and made me feel confident and comfortable about the upcoming work being done.

Great experience!! Didn't know what to expect it being our first visit but everything was so easy. All the staff was friendly and Allison was knowledgeable and super helpful. Dr. Anthony was personable and informative. Highly recommend!!!

I'm a college student and I go to school in Oklahoma. My parents insurance only covers in Texas, but Harwell and Cook got me in with no problems while I was in town for a wedding and was able to fix my permanent retainers. I got my braces on with them over 7 years ago, and they've always been very kind and helpful! I would definitely recommend them!

First, Wow what a great staff. They are down to earth, sweet and so willing to make the patients and parents comfortable and knowing of what is going on. My son has been going here for almost a year and they are absolutely amazing! So happy with all of their work!

I took my 7 & 12 year olds in as a precaution. The nurse, Allison, took great care. All of my, & my children's, questions were answered. My children felt so comfortable, and their fears were recognized and solved. We left with one doing tongue exercises, & the other with braces.

My daughter Kourtney had braces put on this past week and I just want to say how great the staff was ESPECIALLY Danielle!!! They eased all her fears and answered all her questions. They spoke with her and not just me which I really appreciated because she was the patient. The dr was great and very patient with answering all her questions. They made the whole experience stress free and enjoyable which is saying a lot for a dentist appointment. 10/10 would recommend everyone come here for all their smile needs. They were also running a promotion to match your down payment up to $750 which they absolutely honored. They basically made 4 payments for me which was a relief and a God Send. Thank you for being so great with my kid and I can honestly we look forward to coming back!!!
