I attended Vanderbilt University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. My Doctor of Dental Surgery degree was awarded from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. After graduation, I did my orthodontic residency at the University of Texas Houston Dental Branch, where I earned a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, as well as a Master of Science degree.
Hi, Dr. Anthony Harwell here! Thanks for taking the time to read a little bit about me. I was raised in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1988. My journey with orthodontics began at a very young age, helping out in my fathers orthodontics practice as a second-grader. I ended up taking over my fathers practice after 25 years of working side by side as orthodontists. I am proud to keep my fathers kindhearted and dedicated patient care philosophy alive at Harwell & Cook Orthodontics.

Hi, Dr. Cook here! Thank you so much for taking the time to read about who I am. I grew up in the small town of Meers, OK. I was drawn to orthodontics because of the fields unique focus on helping people become their best selves and its inspiring mix of science and art. I also wanted to specialize in treating the demographic of adolescents to make a positive impact on their lives. I joined Harwell & Cook Orthodontics in 2014 because of the excellent professional chemistry he felt with Dr. Harwell and our shared desire to put patients first and help them smile out loud, blossom, and gain the confidence to show their personalities.

I was beyond nervous and my anxiety was on overdrive but Dr. Cook and the nurses calmed me down. They were great and getting my TDAs put in was nothing. Great customer service, definitely 10 out of 10. Highly recommended for braces

Their whole team is amazing to be greatly honest. From the time we first established care it has been amazing, and they make you feel comfortable and they make your kids feel comfortable. After watching them with my own sons treatment and how amazing it's been seeing him grow in confidence; I established my own treatment at that ripe old age of 32 lol. For years I have literally hid my smile hid my teeth.after only 3 weeks I already feel a difference, and I find myself smiling more and showing my actual smile. I can't think the team and the orthos enough for giving us our smile back ..

Harwell and Cook orthodontics have given us an amazing experience for my daughters two year "braces journey". I saw Dr Harwell when I was a teen and now my daughter has a beautiful smile like mine. Same great service I remember. Everyone is always so so nice and never in a hurry or rush to take her braces off or rush us in and out of the office. I highly recommend Harwell and Cook and we will for sure be using them for our son as well!
