With a total of 23 years experience (17 years in Dental hygiene), my passion for Dentistry stems from a desire to assist others in the improvement of their overall health in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
I graduated and was certified as a chair-side assistant from Pima Medical Institute in 2013; and I have been Dr. McDonalds dental assistant since 2014, providing people with a healthy and beautiful smile.
I do my very best to make sure my patients are comfortable and enjoy their time spent at our practice, and am proud of the way our team is able to meet the needs of each single patient. My favorite part of my job is the variety of procedures we do because every procedure is different for every patient, and it keeps my job interesting. I love working with Doctor McDonald, because she is very knowledgeable and very caring with her patients.
I began my career in Dental Assisting in the beginning of 2017 at the American Institute of Dental Assisting and graduated 5 months later in May. I started at Harvest Dental right away and Im loving it! I love assisting Dr. McDonald because she cares a lot about her patients and she leads our office to run very smoothly.
The best part of my job is being able to help others and seeing the excitement in my patients when theyve completed all of their treatment. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and going to the movies when Im not at work.
I started working in the dental field since 2012 when I completed a Registered Dental Assisting program at Monterey Peninsula College. Since then my journey within the dental field has been extremely rewarding. I enjoy working with patients and making them feel as comfortable as possible while making sure every experience is at its best.
I am currently working towards a degree in Healthcare management which would allow me grow as an individual. I am from Monterey, California. I love to cook, spend time with my family and I enjoy outdoor activities such as taking walks and relaxing at the park.
I was born in Yuma AZ, and lived here for 26 years! Im married and have 3 beautiful children. I started to peruse my Dental Career in 2016 and graduated five months later. Started at Harvest Dental in 2017, I love to work with Dr. McDonald and do treatments to make patients feel confident and happy again. When Im not at work I love spending time with my family.
Dr. McDonald graduated from the University of Utah in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology. In 2002 she earned her (DMD) Doctor of Medical Dentistry from the University of Louisville. She is a member of the American Dental Association and a graduate of the Christenson Mentorship Program through the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry.
All of her free time is spent with family, and usually outdoors. She enjoys boating, paddle boarding, scuba diving, riding ATVs and sand cars in the sand dunes, camping, hunting, golfing and attending NFL games in Phoenix.

We recently moved to Yuma and are trying to find a new family dentist. Dr. McDonald was super patient with all my questions regarding my three children's exams and the office manager was very accommodating as we needed to schedule 6 appointments just at closing time. I really like Harvest Dental and I've had great experiences with them! They are very detailed oriented and literally don't miss as step. but I do struggle with the wait times in the lobby. My appointment was scheduled for 12 pm and I didn't get taken back until 12:50 I had to find a babysitter for my daughter, and that babysitter had to stay way longer than necessary and it was an inconvenience. I wish they would've called me to let me know they were running a little behind!

I live in Montana and was traveling in the desert for the winter. One of my molars broke so I had a sudden dental emergency. Following a careful search and reading many reviews, I called Dr. Kathleen McDonald's office in Yuma. I was immediately made at easy with warmth and compassion for my predicament. The scheduler fit me in right away. When I arrived at the office everyone was kind and considerate. Dr. McDonald took extra time with me to explain my dental issue and the various options I had in treatment. The entire office is absolutely first rate.
