Aaron S. Horsley-Teny, D.M.D., earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University, where he received the Aaron Todd Pre-Dental award for having the highest GPA in the pre-dental program. He attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and received the Merit Scholarship for being in the top ten percent of his class.

For eight years, he worked in a private dental practice in Whitefield, New Hampshire. It is there that he developed a love for oral surgery, performing close to a thousand extractions a year. His passion for oral surgery has led him to serve in dental missions in Peru and Colombia. He is also proficient in bone grafting and placing dental implants. Dr. Horsley-Teny has exceptional skills in an array of dental procedures, including root canal therapy, crowns, fillings, dentures, and pediatric dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the North Texas Dental Society.

In 2012, he and his wife, Rachel, made the decision to move their family to Texas. Their youngest son was born with spina bifida, and they discovered that the DallasFort Worth metroplex could provide many opportunities for him, as well as access to excellent healthcare. In July 2013, after a year of planning, they moved with their four childrenEmily 13, Anna 11, Ethan 7, and Owen 5.

In addition to attending excellent schools, the children are enjoying new-found activities, such as hockey, tennis, and football. Owen has had an amazing exposure to wheelchair motocross, sled hockey, and wheelchair basketball, previously these activities were not available to him.

North Texas has been a blessing to their family, both personally and professionally. They have made many new friends and look forward to further exploring their new home state and seeing what God has planned for their lives.

Dr. Jamie Walker was born and raised in a small farm town in Oklahoma. She attended college at Oklahoma City University where she played basketball, was a part of a national champion team. She learned that with dedication and teamwork you can accomplish anything. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology in 2000.

She attended dental school at the University of Oklahoma, graduated in 2004, and has practiced dentistry in Texas for most of her career. She brings with her 12+ years of experience and a love of caring for her patients, young and old. She treats her patients like family and truly feels at home joining the small-town practices of Harvest Dental.

Dr. Walker enjoys spending her free time being outdoors, hiking and fishing with her husband, watching her kids play soccer, and spending time with her family. She is excited to serve the dental needs of her patients for years to come at Harvest Dental.

As a part of the friendly atmosphere at Harvest Dental, Drs. Horsley and Walker have established a team of only most caring and qualified individuals. Our team interacts more like a family than a group of coworkers. We get along well and since we are not a large office, your experience with us is more personal. Patients have come to count the familiar faces at our dental offices in Farmersville and Alstyne, Texas.

April Office Manager April Whitmire is the office manager at Harvest Dental. She attended Grayson College in 2001 and is a registered dental assistant.April was a dental assistant for eight years before she moved to the front office.She enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients while providing them with the best dental service possible.

April is married to her husband, Aaron, and they have two children, Jenni and Ross. She loves to spend time with her family, watch her husband coach high school sports, and work on their cattle ranch.

Sylvia Dental Hygienist Sylvia was born in Wenatchee Washington in 1982.Her family moved to Texas when she was 3 so that her mother could pursue a career in country music. She proudly introduces herself as a Texan and loves living in our great state.In 2005, Sylvia began her career as a dental assistant. While assisting, she fell in love seeing the impact dentistry makes in peoples lives, watching the younger patients grow, and building relationships with patients. Sylvia decided to return to school to pursue dental hygiene. She graduated as valedictorian of her dental hygiene class in 2009 from Northeast Texas Community College.At Harvest Dental, Sylvia enjoys the team atmosphere and being able to offer the highest standard of care to her patients.

Sylvia is married to her high school sweetheart, John. Together, they have two beautiful daughters, Makenzie and Brooklynn. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.Sylvia is very involved in her daughters sporting activities and is their biggest fan.

Cathy Dental Hygienist Cathy is one of the registered dental hygienists at Harvest Dental. She graduated 27 years ago from TCC. Although Cathy is a Dallas girl at heart, she and her husband of 24 years chose to raise their beautiful children in the quaint town of Van Alstyne.Cathy actually tried to retire for about five years, then met the team at Harvest Dental and decided retirement was just not for her. She loves working with patients two to three days per week and volunteering in every school activity or childrens association she can find.
