I was a patient of Dr. Dunn and Dr. Kelly but they both left the practice over the years. Afterwards they staff changed between every visit. The new owners were not helpful and difficult to work with. I have since found a much better practice. I would avoid this place.

What ashame this use to be a thriving practice. Change over in staff is crazy which indicates they are not taking care of their staff. My family has been with this practice for a long time and we are now DONE. They never answer the phone or call you back. I requested to see an X-ray of my moms crown before it was permanently cemented while I was in the waiting room and nobody came out to get me. Then I requested an X-ray to be sent to me so I could verify that the work was done properly it's been almost two months and nothing. I work in the dental field so I am aware of a lot of things that can happen. On one occasion the actual doctor came out and said the doctor is almost finished with your mom it will be a few more minutes. I knew it was him but he had his tail between his legs as they wanted our money up front for the crown on the first visit. We were not allowed to pay half on start and half on completion, which was an appt 1 month later. I hope these doctors are reading this review. Wake Up!

I urge all customers to take care when joining this practice. I have hard paper evidence they have been lately committing insurance fraud (see below). I had gone to this practice for 30 years when they were called Capital Dental Center. The previous dentist Dr. Dunn was great as were most of the hygienists then (some were bad). I am not sure what went on, I suppose Dr. Dunn sold the practice, but all of a sudden the entire place was wiped out and all the personnel changed in a matter of days. They NEVER sent all the customers notices that this had happened. This alone warrants never using this dentist. The new dentists were obviously in it to make money and nothing else. I gave them a chance and continued with them for a year or more afterwards. The new practice does all they can to "up-sell" you everything including x rays, fluoride and sealants. The hygienists completely changed how they act and it was painful with all new ideas! Plus they all seemed to be new hygienist on each new visit. The scariest thing is they forced me in a very pressurized way to pay them a $30 co-pay the last time I was there in September of 2018, claiming my insurance demanded it. I told them I had two insurances (one primary and one secondary) which for 30 years paid the entire cost. They had my information. It was a routine cleaning visit. I knew I didn't owe anything. Low and behold my two insurance statements came in and the entire cost HAD been paid. So now Capitol Dental Care owed me my $30 co-pay back. They were double collecting and committing insurance fraud. The insurance lady there told me they always collect a $30 copay. What! Who knows how many people have been defrauded. I contacted them right after getting my statements (to prove they had been paid) and they finally reluctantly agreed to refund me because I had the proof and the insurance company themselves agreed to talk to them and tell them they were in error. Well it has been a month and still no $30 check. Please do not use this dentist, or risk all of the above. There is no reason at all to not find a better dentist with less painful hygienist and more caring people. I will contact whatever board regulates insurance and dentists. As well, when you leave your appointment they do not ask you to schedule another appointment. They simply call you months later assigning you a time and hoping you will accept. What! Who does this? There wasn't one positive thing I can say about this place which angers me because I had gone there for over 30 years (actually 33 years!).

Been coming here since a kid. Ever since a few staff changes, it's been going down hill. Despite being told to send the bill to my insurance, they still send it to my mother. My most recent visit felt very rushed and wasn't asked to schedule a 6 month check-up (they usually did this in the past). Will be looking at other places in the future.

My partner stopped coming here because they made an appointment for a cleaning, brought her in and said the hygienist couldn't do the cleaning without an actual dentist in the office. She took half a day off work and wasted her time for them to offer unnecessary xrays since she was in the office. (So they could bill insurance). Today I waited in the waiting room for 45 mins with our son. I watched 7 people come and go. Not one waiting to be seen more than 10 minutes. He's just here for a check up. This is the last time anyone in our family will be here.
