A graduate of Fordham University, where he earned a B.S. in Biology, Dr. Avanzato earned his D.D.S. degree from the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry. He completed his dental residency program at the Department of Dentistry, Misericordia Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Avanzato is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the Ninth District Dental Society. He is an associate member of the American Association of Endodontists.

It had been awhile since my last cleaning and after searching through the dentists that take my insurance, Hartsdale Dental seemed like the best option. I definitely picked a good one! I will be back. Everyone was really friendly, knowledgeable and patient. The hygienist took more time to take x-rays and clean my teeth than anyone I have ever been to before. Dr. A happily answered my questions, gave me some tips and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me.

Dr. A is truly the best dentist I've ever had, and I even look forward to my appointments! He is always happy to answer my questions and I've never felt rushed. The staff members are all extremely friendly and professional. So happy to have found this office!

Dr. Avanzato is fantastic! He took care of all my dental needs (crown, bonding, and whitening) with more care, precision, and quality than any other dentist I've been to! Added bonus, too, I've never been kept waiting!!!!

If you are looking for a great dental experience I suggest Dr. Avanzato and his team. Diana was accommodating to my schedule. Tatiana was my dental hygienist. Her personality is welcoming and made my teeth look and feel amazing. Paula is Dr. Avanzato's assistant. She effortlessly makes you feel at ease in the Doctor's chair and that is very important to me. Dr. Avanzato is the best! Hands down!!! He is easy to talk to, and explained everything I needed to have done throughly. I'm so grateful that I found this team. They truly make you feel like family. Thank you guys!!! Keep up the great work.

I had a great experience with my dental cleaning a few weeks ago at the office of Dr. Avanzato so I came back yesterday to get my fillings and cannot be happier with the results. Great service and care from front desk to the doctor and the stuff. I only wish I had found this office much sooner. I will definitely recommend you to all who are looking for a dentist.

Dr. Avanzato and his staff are so welcoming and accommodating to your schedule and needs. Everyone is patient and explains everything from any work you may need done to if your insurance will cover the cost. My long time dentist retired, and I was referred to Dr. Avanzato. Probably one of the best referrals that I ever had. Although I am fastidious about the care of my teeth I have always had problems. There came a time when I needed major dental intervention and cosmetic restoration. As a child I had a negative dental experience and have since been fearful of dentists. When Dr. Avanzato told me what was needed for my restoration I directly went into fear mode. Although I repeated an acronym I had learned for the word fear "False Events Appearing Real" many times, it didn't help .Dr. Avanzato put his arm on my shoulder and looked at me and said "It won't be so bad. I will get you through this." He did indeed get me through it, and I can smile again. I put my trust in him and he earned it. In order to do my procedure he had to be a highly skilled medical scientist, a mechanic, and an artist, all in one person. He has all those skills...but, just as important, Dr. Avanzato is a professional who cares about his patients. We are not just another computer file or paper folder. He takes the time and effort to know and care about his patients. My whole family now uses his practice. He has staffed his office with efficient caring people. (A special shout out to Diana) Dr. A, please never retire!

We recently moved to Elmsford and I needed a dentist . Google led me to Dr. Avanzato and, after my first visit for my and my subsequent visit for a cleaning and filings I understand why he has a perfect five-star rating. Not only did he leave me feeling completely confident in his expertise with dental procedures, Dr. Avanzato is sincerely kind and caring. It is such a pleasure to go into his offices and to be so well looked after.

I had an awesome first time experience at Hartsdale Dental. My assigned dentist, Brenda, was very friendly, caring and attentive to my dental needs. Dr. Avanzato was also very knowledgeable and gave me great advice. I felt great about my dental health after receiving treatment from this practice. I will be making this practice my permanent dental care provider. If you are looking for a new dentist I highly recommend this dental office.
