Dr. Nancy Hartrick returned to her hometown in 1988 and founded Hartrick Dentistry in Royal Oak, Michigan, a prominent suburb of Detroit. Nominated by her peers annually as one of the Top Dentists in the Detroit area, Dr. Hartrick has developed a reputation for outstanding dental treatment and oral health care. She stays up to date regularly through hours of continuing education to insure her patients receive care that supports current advances in dental treatment and wellness based dentistry.
Dr. Hartrick attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan for eight years. She graduated with distinction earning a BS degree in Nutritional Science, recognized by both the School of Literature Science and the Arts and the School of Public Health. She continued her education at the School of Dentistry and earned her DDS degree.
Throughout the years, Dr. Hartrick has completed many advanced dental educational curricula as well as leadership and management programs. During the last 18 years she has been most active with the Kois Center, Advancing Dentistry Through Science, in Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Hartrick is both a Clinical Instructor and member of the Advisory Board. Additionally, she chairs the Q & A Facilitator Committee and is active on the Editorial Board. Over the last several years she has had three dental articles published and has edited several others. Most recently she co-authored Addressing Sleep-related Breathing Disorders Dentistrys role in a multidisciplinary treatment network, which was published in Inside Dentistry in December 2018.
In the past few years, Dr. Hartrick completed the Airway Mini Residency in New Jersey, taught by Drs. Mark Cruz and Barry Raphael, as well as an Orthotropic Concept Series in. Dr. Hartrick recently supported her two hygienists in 120 hours of training for orofacial myofunctional therapy, which is now provided in her office . This has allowed Hartrick Dentistry to better manage patient needs and provide more comprehensive care in health and wellness by focusing on the structure, function and behavior of the airway as it relates to dental and interdisciplinary practice.
Nikki has a passion for dentistry. She started as an ortho assistant right after high school and decided after assisting for several years she wanted to be a Dental Hygienist. She graduated from Oakland Community College in 2002. Nikki is thrilled to part of team that focuses on the health and well being of our patients.
While taking nursing classes at Michigan State University, Kayleigh discovered her love of teeth. She transferred to The University of Michigan and started the dental hygiene program the following fall. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelors degree in dental hygiene. Kayleigh is proud to be working for a team whose focus is on the health of the patients. She is also very pleased to be working for a fellow U-M alumnus. Go Blue!
I have been a dental assistant since 1993. I enjoy watching patients self esteem grow as their smiles become brighter and healthier. Dr. Hartrick and our staff strive to create an enjoyable and comfortable place for patients to come for treatment.

Dr. Hartrick is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and a perfectionist -- all things you want in a dentist! She worked very closely with my orthodontist to correct my bite and give me a beautiful smile. I highly recommend Dr. Hartrick!

I was in for a cleaning and a check on a sore wisdom tooth. As always the cleaning went very well. Dr Hartrick examined the problem tooth, indicated that I needed either a root canal or an extraction and referred to me to two excellent dentists/surgeons for further work.

The quality of service is only outmatched by the personal nature of everyone. I feel like I belong to a family and they seem to get on with one another so well. Very positive environment with first class knowledgeable staff. Dr Hartrick is extraordinarily passionate about knowing all she can know from a holistic standpoint around Dentistry and everything that is interdependent in the body around it.

Everything about Dr. Hartrick's is above and beyond. For starters, the front desk interactions are always pleasant and professional. Also, the teeth cleanings are the most thorough and advanced I've ever experienced. I feel amazingly clean afterwards. Most importantly, Dr. Hartrick is the best!! She does an incredible job and it shows that she truly cares and wants the best for everyone's teeth overall well being. She's extremely knowledgeable about dental health and how it's even connected to sleep, heart health and more. I learn a lot every time I talk to her. Highly recommend!

After one visit with Dr. Hartrick I can definitely say she's like no other dentist. She took her time and did an amazing job on my crown. She's a perfectionist and a warm, caring provider. She showed me the steps she took in the software program she used to mold the crown. Seriously cool stuff. The entire staff is great, too!

On my 1st visit I thought it was odd that they offered me a couple of dog bisquits and scratched behind my ears when I arrived. Then I realized I was not at Hartrick Dental but at Hartrick Veterinary Clinic. Having straightened out the misunderstanding with the help of a phone and Mary, one of the nicest women this side of Neptune. I met with the charming and vivacious Dr. Hartrick. I had a couple friends that were her patients and they raved about her. My teeth were in such a horrendous state that THEY had to use the gas to keep from passing out. Seriously, she and her wonderful staff did a full Mr. Hyde to Dr.Jekyll. The result was a miraculous improvement in my appearance. Now if they could miraculously transform the bill so it doesn't make my jaws drop...but that's true with any cosmetic dentistry. Caution: if the waiting room is full of snauzers and Australian stumpy tail cattle dogs, you're in the wrong place. But sneak a few biscuits because, boy them boys is good eating.
