Dr. Brian Hartman is a native of Anchorageand has been practicing since 2001. Dr. Hartmans practice philosophy is to be progressive and patient oriented. He enjoys providing quality orthodontic service to hispatientsand developing relationships with themand their families.
Dr. Hartman earned his bachelors degree in science at the University of Colorado (Boulder) and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the Oregon Health & ScienceUniversity (Portland), where he also completed his orthodontic residency.
Dr. Hartman is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Board of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, AlaskaDental Society, Alaska State Society of Orthodontists, Anchorage Dental Society, The Edward H. Angle Society, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.He is an Invisalign Certified Provider.
He lives in Anchorage with his wife Kristy, son Thomas, and daughter Taylor. Dr. Hartman enjoys fishing, skiing, and hockey whenever hesnot in the office. He is proud of having beenborn and raised in Alaska. He graduated from Dimond High School in 1991 and graduated from dental school with high honors.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

I Had consultations with three orthodontist and Hartman was the best. I Didn't feel rushed, process was throughly explained, and they were able to accommodate my needs. Just got my braces today and I was able to get a great payment plan

The best orthodontist in town! I was very picky about where to go for my daughter's teeth and called around, interviewed other orthodontists and we are so glad we chose Dr Hartman! He and his team are professional, kind, and do wonderful work. Even in light of having braces during the covid 19 pandemic they have gone above and beyond with safety, and have adapted perfectly. We have done zoom Visits when needed and had necessary consultations and treatment- all with extreme safety and precautions in mind. We knew we loved Dr HArtman and his team before yet to see them in action even during a global health pandemic is stunning. I highly recommend them To anyone. Good work. Thank you Dr Hartman and team!

Have had all three of my children in braces. Staff are extremely professional, courteous and know how to make the kids feel at ease. The Front desk staff are amazing too. The office will set you up with affordable payment plans as well. You owe it to your kids to set them up for life with a great smile and have confidence in their futures - Smiles go a long way! The added bonus.... Dr. Hartman is super handsome which helps you to overlook the expense of having to put so many kids to put through his office. Its a monthly treat to go on visits.

I would strongly recommend Hartman Orthodontics to anyone seeking braces in the Anchorage area. As a healthcare consultant I am critical of seeking care and interviewed four different providers before selecting Hartman Orthodontics for my children. My rating scale includes customer service, outcomes, financial, and scheduling. Hartman was the only Clinic that checked every box so I was confident with my decision initially. Between two children we have spent three years interacting with this practice and they take very high scores as excellent healthcare practitioners in my book. My children enjoyed the experience as well and their teeth are gorgeous.

The whole experience with my son's braces has been nothing less than amazing. From the early consultations to having the braces on for two years and now getting them removed today.
