In 1979, Dr. Tommy Harrison and Dr. Gary Garrison, lifelong friends from Temple, Texas, born just 3 days apart, opened the doors to a new dental practice at the corner of Fry Road and the Katy Freeway. The two new doctors had decided to go into practice together, considering the high cost of setting up. After 27 years at that location, the practice was moved to a new, more modern office on Kingsland in 2005. As their families grew and interests outside the office changed, their partnership always remained great.
In 2005, Dr. Garrett Bethke joined the practice as an associate for both doctors. A patient of the practice since he was 10 years old, Dr. Bethke fulfilled his dream of running a practice, when in March of 2007, Dr Bethke took over for Dr. Garrison. Dr. Garrison moved to the hill country, and opened a new practice with his son Austin. December 2010, Dr. Garrison officially retired.
Over the next 29 years, Dr. Bethke and Dr. Harrison hope to continue their partnership based on the same family values and principles that have helped the practices grow through the years. The booming Katy population and economy through the years have been and continue to be paramount to their success.

Alicia has been fortunate to work in what she loves. Her most rewarding moment in dentistry is experiencing a patient's smile for the first time without embarrassment. Aside from dentistry, Alicia loves to travel. She has been to places all over the United States and Europe including Germany, Italy, France, Greece and Spain.
Charmaine is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. She moved to Houston, Texas when she was eleven. Charmaine graduated from Concorde Career Institute in 1992 to become a registered dental assistant. Charmaine offers excellent clinical and customer relations skills through her 24 years of experience. She has a warm friendly demeanor which everyone loves.
Felisha graduated from Texas Woman's University with a bachelor's in dental hygiene in May 2013. Felisha is originally from Dallas, TX and moved to the Katy area in June of 2013. She has been with the office since March of 2014 and is excited to be a part of the team.
Gina Martin graduated from Alvin High School in 1987. She has been in the dental field for over 25 years and living in the Katy area for the past 5 years. Gina has been with Harrison & Bethke Family and Cosmetic Dentistry since February 2015. She enjoys interacting with patients, helping them with their dental needs while making them feel right at home.
Aside from the dental office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves to exercise, travel and shop. Gina is an avid animal lover; she enjoys spoiling her 'teacup' Yorkie named Coco.
Holly has been in the Dental field for about 13 years. She enjoys her position with Dr. Bethke and all that it has to offer with growth and being a better assistant. This is very important to her because she is always striving to make every patients visit as comfortable as possible.
Kai considers the comfort and health of her patients as her first priority, while focusing on preventive dental therapy. In her spare time she enjoys traveling around the world and discovering new restaurants with her husband and friends. Kai is also fluent in Chinese
Nydia has been a dental assistant at Harrison and Bethke for over 14 years. Her professionalism and outstanding patient care have earned her the position of Director of Restorative Care. She has always gone the extra mile to insure that all of our cherished patients get the best possible care from her and her team.
Nyd has been married to her husband Art for 15 years. They enjoy traveling, movies and salsa dancing. The family also includes a wonderful teenage daughter. Dee is a sophomore at Taylor high school and plans to pursue a career in the dental field. She also works at the practice during summer break.
Viola has worked in the dental field for over 28 years. In 1993, she and her two children moved to the Katy area from San Antonio. She was hired in 1993 as a dental assistant for Dr. Garrison and worked with him for 14 years, up until his retirement in 2007.
Dr. Thomas C.'Tommy' Harrison was born and raised in Temple, Texas, earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, and his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. In addition, he earned a Masters in Business Aministration(MBA) degree from Texas Tech University.
For the past thirty years, Dr. Harrison has been an enthusiastic and active participant in all three levels of organized dentistry including the Greater Houston Dental Society(President, 2001-2002), the Texas Dental Association(President, 2006-2007) and the American Dental Association(House of Delegates since 1988).
Dr. Harrison's participation in the Katy community includes volunteer, advisory, and committee service to the Katy Independent School District, the Houston Community College System, the Katy Chamber of Commerce, and St. Peter's United Methodist Church. Dr. Harrison and his wife Dr. Mary Sue Harrison, an audiologist in Katy, have two daughters, Katie Harrison Comer and Jill Harrison Bennett who both work in the office.

Make sure to ask if you are in network or not. I have been a patient for a couple of years and my employer changed my insurance provider in 2021 to which made me out of network. I was not made aware that with my new insruance, I was not out of network. When coming in for a follow up apt. the office still did not mention I was out of network just that I had a large balance due and today had to pay nearly $400 for two teeth cleanings when I checked out. Had this office been honest from the start and said something when I checked in, I would not have kept this second apt. and found an in network provdier. This is disappointing as the dentist and hygentist staff are great, the billing side of this company is poor in my opinion. I would think that the office would inform their patients if due to their change of insurance that they notify the patient that they are no longer in network. Just sad...

STAY AWAY - They overcharge and are dishonest. Read my full story here: I had work done here over the summer under recommendation of a friend as I recently moved from out of state. I scheduled a "Pre exam" to review the procedure that needed to be performed. Later that day, I received their proposal. It was over $5000!! I sent this proposal to dentist friend of mine who lived in another state. He laughed and said they are way overpriced adding extras that do not need to be performed and doubling up on anesthesia costs. Clearly taking advantage of the pain I was in and the pandemic we are all in. I called the "office manager" on their BS and the proposal was reduced to $2200. Go figure. After confirming the exact out of pocket figure, I had the work performed a couple weeks later. I have no complaints about the work, no issues there. A couple months go by and a get a bill for $483. I called the "office manager" and asked for explanation, she quickly said "that's you out of pocket". I called BS again. Then she said she would call me back. She said she spoke to the insurance company and there had been a mistake. A few weeks pass and I get another bill for $283. I call again, they said this is your out of pocket balance. I firmly explained this is not possible as I made it very clear as to what the out of pocket would be up front (under recommendation from my dentist friend). I did not want pre "pre authorized amount. That's why I waited a couple weeks to get the exact out of pocket. You see, in shady dental practices like this one, they like to hide the full out of pocket expense to get you in the chair. Then stick you with the bill a few months later. Exactly what my dental friend warned me of. Folks - these people took advantage of me and it seems to be common practice. So here you go Harrison & Bethke Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. For $283, you get this VERY WELL DESERVED - NEGATIVE GOOGLE REVIEW.

Today was my first visit to Harrison & Bethke's dentist office. Kristen H. is the BEST dental hygienist that I have ever had! She is friendly, GENTLE, and made me feel so comfortable. She is extremely through and left my teeth sparkling clean! Dr. Espanol spent a good amount of time with me reviewing my chart. I have recommended that all my friends and family come here! Also, they have a "treasure pig" full of goodies for the kids. Oh, and they use 3M adhesives and products, so you know they do quality work that you can trust. Thank you!!!

Extremely knowledgeable and professional. I called in the morning with an emergency, and they scheduled me THAT day. From then on, I have been a huge fan of this office! Each time I go, the hygienists are so friendly and thorough, and doctor Bethke is fantastic! I tell everyone I know to go here! People think I'm a weirdo for loving going to the dentist, but hey, when you have a fabulous dentist--going to the doctor can be a great experience!

Dr.Foust, with Wisdom Partners DDS, Performed my wisdom teeth extractions and did an amazing job. From the moment we started to when it was all over i was made comfortable and kept informed on what was happening and was given excellent after care instructions. Him and his team are amazing and i'm so happy that i finally got it done. 10/10 would recommend this dentist office and Dr. Foust! P.s. i have a huge fear of the dentist and this was my first time going in 10 years and i can confidently say that this office and their staff really know how to make you feel comfortable! Thank you again to this team!

This is the best dentist's office I've ever been to. Friendly staff and very professional. They are concerned with your comfort as well as for your dental health. The dentists have a great sense of humor as well. We have been going there for years and I wouldn't trust anyone else for my family's dental health.
