Harrisburg Smiles stands on the cutting edge of cosmetic dental technology. Were proud to offer every patient the chance to work with practiced hands that know cosmetic dental work is as much an art as it is a science.
The biggest benefit of cosmetic dentistry is enhanced self-esteem and confidence. If you are suffering from issues like stained teeth, gaps between your teeth, misshapen teeth, or any other cosmetic dental problems, you may feel self-conscious about your appearance, and avoid smiling, laughing, or even talking among others.
But with cosmetic dentistry, youll be able to get the smile youve always wanted, and feel great about your appearance once again. Dr. Cherukuri can work with you to develop a custom treatment plan thats perfect for your needs and your budget.
Thats not all, though. Some cosmetic dentistry treatments, like Invisalign or veneers, can provide you with a more even smile, which makes it easier for you to brush and floss properly, and care for your teeth.
Dental bonding uses dental resin to add more material to your teeth, and treat imperfections like minor chips, gaps between the teeth, stained teeth, and misshapen teeth. This treatment is completely non-invasive, and its fast and affordable, making it a popular choice for smile restoration.
Shaping & contouring (enameloplasty) is often used alongside bonding. In this procedure, a special tool is used to polish your teeth and remove a small amount of enamel to treat minor chips, pitting, pointed teeth, and other imperfections.
Porcelain veneers are thin, durable ceramic shells that fit over your front teeth and cover them up, replacing your natural teeth and providing you with a brilliant, beautiful smile. They are very versatile and can be used to treat almost any cosmetic issue, ranging from misshapen and slightly-crooked teeth to severe stains and minor chipping.
If you want to restore your smile on a budget, teeth whitening is a great option. With our teeth whitening treatments, you can reverse years of staining and yellowing, and improve your smile in Harrisburg without any pain or discomfort.
Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment, but has great cosmetic benefits, too. With Invisalign, you can shift your teeth and correct your bite to create a healthier, more appealing alignment that will improve your overall appearance.
Compared to braces, Invisalign is faster, more comfortable, and more convenient. Its also invisible when worn and can be removed to eat and drink, and to brush and floss, so its a great option for older patients who wish to avoid wearing traditional braces.
Choosing Invisalign has a number of great benefits. Invisalign is nearly invisible when worn, and will not affect your appearance or your ability to speak. Compared to braces, Invisalign is much more subtle. This makes it great for adults and young professionals who wish to avoid wearing traditional braces.
In addition, Invisalign is removable. Youll take your aligners out when you eat and drink (except for water), so there are no dietary restrictions to worry about. You can continue to enjoy your favorite foods and drinks during treatment. In addition, youll take Invisalign out to brush and floss. This makes it easier for you to care for your teeth properly, compared to brushing and flossing around braces. Invisalign allows you to continue enjoying your hobbies as your aligners can also be removed to play contact sports and some musical instruments like brass and woodwinds.
Invisalign is more comfortable compared to braces. The pressure exerted on your teeth is more gentle and even, and there are no metal brackets or wires to poke and irritate your gums, cheeks, or lips.
Once your teeth have been straightened with Invisalign, youll enjoy better overall oral health. Your teeth will have shifted to the ideal jaw and bite position for your mouth. This helps prevent premature wear and tear on your teeth, and makes it easier to brush and floss properly, preventing cavities and gum disease.
The cost of Invisalign is usually comparable to the price of traditional metal braces. However, the price of your Invisalign treatment will vary based on the length of your treatment, the extent of your needs for orthodontic correction, and a number of other factors.
This decision depends on the extent of your orthodontic problems. Invisalign is a great way to correct your smile and has a lot of benefits when compared to braces, but it is only recommended for patients with minor-to-moderate orthodontic issues like crooked or gapped teeth and minor bite problems.
If you have more serious orthodontic issues like a serious overbite, underbite, crossbite, or extremely crooked or crowded teeth, Invisalign may not be suitable. Traditional braces are far more versatile and effective in treating complex orthodontic cases.
Children over the age of three should be able to brush their teeth on their own with a small amount of toothpaste. You should supervise their brushing to ensure theyre using proper brushing techniques.
