Drs. Seth and Lauren met during their first year of graduate school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. After a year of intense studying and discovering their shared passion for smiling they fell in love and got married. It was quite toothfully a match made in Heaven.
After graduation they moved to Iowa, where Dr. Lauren worked in Sioux City and Dr. Seth in the small town of Moville. In the Spring of 2019 they welcomed their son, Henry, and life for them has never been the same. They knew it was then time to live out their dream of working together in their own family practice so they migrated north to Harrisburg, SD to plant some roots.
In the time spent waiting for Harrisburg Family Dental to come to life, Drs. Seth and Lauren taught at the University of South Dakota where they were able to continue practicing dentistry while educating and training South Dakotas dental hygiene students. Dr. Lauren continues work as the Supervising Dentist at USD and Dr. Seth remains on the Dental Hygiene advisory board.
When they are not immersed in the world of dentistry, they stay plenty busy on their acreage tending to their menagerie of animals that includes Australian shepherds, cats, chickens, horses, mules, and one ornery mini donkey - oh my! Dr. Lauren enjoys baking, crafting, and tending to her chickens and garden, and Dr. Seth enjoys driving and riding his horses and mules and taking his son on tractor rides. If youre lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of Dr. Seth cruising the streets of Harrisburg in his horse-drawn wagon pulled by his home grown black Percheron mare Flossy.
The Schroeders make it their goal every day to create more smiles both in and out of the office. They are so happy to be a part of the Harrisburg community and cant wait to continue growing their family here.
