During your first visit, youll have the opportunity to meet the doctor as well as our team members. We recommend treatment to begin with a comprehensive oral examination in order to assess your health. We will perform TMJ/occlusion, cancer screening, intra-oral pictures, digital x-rays and examination of your teeth. Additionally, we will review your medical records and discuss any concerns you may have. Based on our findings, we will design an appropriate treatment plan.
During your childs first visit, they will have a chance to meet the dental team and get acquainted with the dental environment. We also go over dental habits, as well as nutritional habits at home. We do a complete exam, x-rays, cleaning, and a fluoride treatment. At every visit, we demostrate proper brushing and flossing techniques.
For over twenty years, Dr. Craig Harris and his wife, Wendy, have been serving their patients with care, compassion, and excellent dentistry. Dr. Craig believes in treating his patients the way that he would want to be treated. At Harris Family Dentistry, his goal is to make sure that each patient feels loved and knows that they matter to their dentists as a person and not just as a patient.
Dr. Craig takes the time to get to know each person individually and makes sure that each dental service is explained in a way that is easy to understand. He enjoys serving patients of all ages and especially loves the artistic aspect of dentistry.
After growing up in Cartersville, Georgia, Dr. Craig Harris earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Samford University in 1993 and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from Medical College of Georgia in 1997. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association.
When he isnt helping patients achieve beautiful smiles, Dr. Craig Harris loves to spend time with his family and their two dogs. Dr. Harris enjoys hiking, especially in the mountains of North Carolina. At home, Dr. Craig loves to garden, and in his spare time, he enjoys coaching youth basketball. He and his wife, Wendy, have attended Free Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia, since 2005. They are incredibly grateful for Gods love and provision and have made it their primary goal in life is to spread that love to others.
Dr. Craig has completed Mastership and Fellowship and Diplomate programs with the International Dental Implant Association. Hes been placing implants for 15+ years and offers the teeth in a day as well as other complex implant restorative treatments.
Dr. Wendy Harris and her husband, Craig, have been practicing dentistry in Dawsonville, Georgia, since 1998. For the past twenty years, Dr. Wendy has been nurturing patients and helping them get the gentle care that they need to maintain beautiful, healthy smiles. She makes sure each patient has a nice experience in the dental chair, and loves forming relationships with her patients and coworkers. Dr. Wendy feels very blessed to work and share her life with such an amazing team of women.
Though she was born in Tampa, Florida, Dr. Wendy primarily grew up in Marietta, Georgia. She earned her Associates of Arts degree from Oxford College in 1990 and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1992. She and her husband, Craig, met when they were attending Dental School at Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Wendy earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the university in 1996.
She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association. To stay up-to-date on modern dentistry, Dr. Wendy and her husband are constantly taking continuing education courses.
At home, Dr. Wendy and Dr. Craig Harris have a daughter named Lily and a son named Jones. They enjoy spending time with their children and extended family, or just playing at home with their two dogs. Dr. Wendy loves to run, read and sew, and also has a strong passion for photography. When theyre all together, Dr. Wendy and Dr. Craig love to hike or watch movies and sports with their kids.

Dr. Nazanin Rashidi was born and raised in Iran until 2001 when she and her family moved to Atlanta. She attended middle school and high school in the metro Atlanta area and continued her education at Georgia State University after high school. While she completed her Bachelors in Science, before getting into dental school, Dr. Rashidi worked as a Certified Orthodontic Assistant. After being accepted into Dental school, she moved to Louisville, Kentucky to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D). While working towards her doctorate, she participated in research, volunteer activities, and went on a mission trip to the Philippines to provide dental care to underprivileged kids. After completing dental school, Dr. Rashidi moved back to Atlanta to be close to her family and start her career in an area she enjoys.
Dr. Rashidi has been a part of our practice since 2019. With her caring and friendly personality, along with her outstanding skills in the dental chair, she quickly became a core member of our office family and a chosen provider with our patients. Outside of dentistry, she loves spending time with family, cooking, photography, and walking her husky, Gorgy. She also enjoys traveling to see different parts of the world and experiencing new cultures.

Very kind and friendly staff! Dr. Rashidi is a wonderful dentist! The entire office is welcoming. I never thought I'd like a dentist office, but I couldn't see myself going anywhere else!

This office went above and beyond for me! They were able to get me in the same day and perform the extraction that I needed. All staff were very kind and walked me through every step that was being done. They made sure that I was comfortable as well as comforting the entire time of the procedure. I can't say enough good things about this practice and I will be returning as a regular patient from here on out. Thank you so much to Dr. Craig Harris and his awesome dental staff!

Leaving 3 stars. Great staff and service when I went here several years ago. Recently moved back to the area and the nature of my job and your hours makes calling really difficult. Tried using your Contact Us page of your website several times over the course of a few weeks and no response. Yes I checked my spam and other email folders. Please fix or assign a employee to monitor this because it can cost you business like it did mine. :( I really did love the business and staff.

Received a phone call, ask how much is it to get X-ray to see how much it would be to pull a wisdom teeth and she said between $300 to $600 for exam

I have found my new home for dental care!! EVERYONE at Harris Family Dentistry is first class!! Stacey is an incredible hygienist - the consummate professional yet warm & caring. She is beyond thorough - and she even called to check on me today (the day after). Dr. Rashidi is also terrific - as well as the rest of the team. I am so glad I made this change. Dr.Nazanin Rashidi did an excellent job on my teeth. I was nervous seeing how it was two of my front teeth being filled but it looks amazing! She definitely pays attention to fine details. Staff was nice and waiting time was few.

Had to go in for a chipped front tooth. Ended up needing 2 crowns. Harris was willing to take a partial payment so I could get it done. I was a nervous wreck so Dr Wendy hooked me up with Nitro during the procedure. I slept like a baby. They were all very nice and caring. So glad to have them as my dentist.

Dr. Harris is a kind, professional Doctor who really cares about the health and well being of his patients. The office is professional and friendly. I will be a patient from now on. I drive a truck and find scheduling to be difficult, the office works hard to make sure they can provide care for me. I really can't say enough about wonderful they are.

I have very high anxiety when going to the denist, but the people at this place were so kind and thoughtful!!! They were very attentive, let you know what they were foing every step of the way, and at the slightest look of me being uncomfotable they stopped so I could relax again. I recevied a root canal from them, and again, I can not tell you how Wonderful they are. Dr. Craig did mine and he was amazing. Thank you so much for treating me with kindness and being patient with me!!! I will 100% be back in the future!

I've been going to Harris Family Dentistry for years. On 11/17/20 I took my grandson for his first visit with them; he's 7yo and had been going to another local Dentistry, for children. I was concerned that the atmosphere would be too "grown up" because it's not decorated especially for children. Needless to say, he had a great experience. He felt like he was was no longer at a what he called a "baby place". The assistants, hygienist and dentist made him very comfortable. Our appointments were at the same time so I wasn't able to join him until the dentist did her review. They all complimented on how well he listened and followed instructions during his cleaning. I'm glad I made the decision to move him over to where my husband and I go, for our dental care. We absolutely love the place.

I have been a patient with Harris for a very long time. Even though they are outside my network, their individualized attention to your care is above reproach. I personally enjoy their assistants and the owners Wendy and Craig Harris are gentle and always concerned with your dental care. I left for a few months to check out the competition- but I quickly returned.. I found that they are the best there is!

My first time with this dentist since I moved to the area. One of the best overall experiences with a new medical provider in quite some time. It's a personal decision so I feel it's important to do my own homework to make the most well informed choice for myself and my family. From my first call to walking out after my first appointment; stellar all around. Staff was very welcoming and extremely detailed in what to expect and what I had to bring and do for my visits to their office. The hygienist, Stacey, was an absolute rock star. I typically get very anxious when I go to the dentist. She was very kind and sweet and communicated every move and expectation which I appreciate as a patient. While surprises are great NOT for some things so I think that's what calmed me right down from the start. I left with a good benchmark as well as a plan for the next year. And, costs associated with that plan. So I can financially plan out my expenses for the year. I wanted competence, informative action items and to be the focus of their attention while I was in their care. From the moment I walked through the door to leaving their office, they delivered and then some on all counts! Thank you for a professional, caring team.
