I love our routine visits to Dr. Harris's office! Ms. Diana and Ms. Paula always brighten our day with a warm, genuine welcome when my daughters and I come in for a cleaning. Getting to know them over the years has made going to the dentist an enjoyable experience and something we look forward to! The office is clean and cheerful, appointments are timely, and the teeth cleaning process is thorough. They always allow time for questions (and stories) from my daughters. Although I've seen Ms. Diana and Ms. Paula for 10+ years now, I was delighted when Dr. Harris took over the practice. He is professional, kind, patient, and explains things in understandable terms. My daughter had her first filing recently and literally came skipping out of the exam room. Honest to goodness, she asked if she could go back for another filing the next day! When does that ever happen?! I highly recommend this dental practice to anyone - from small children to adults.

After waiting 2 months for my appointment and a reschedule for the doctor to go on vacation, I was then informed that they do not take any marketplace insurance. I was told by Fidelis and by Harris Dental (when making the appointment) that my insurance would be accepted. I would not trust people this inept with my health.

I've since deleted my previous 5 star review, to leave this review... Dr. Harris is good, his staff is personable as long as you don't ask them to do their jobs. I had to call 3 times for a successful referral for my daughter. They kept referring her to practices that don't work with children. At one point the receptionist told me to find someone and she's send over the referral... pretty sure that's your job. I was referred out to another dentist for oral surgery, that dentist kept rescheduling my surgery appointment. I called Harris dental to be referred to a different oral surgeon. The lady that answered the phone would not allow me to speak. She kept talking over me. When I asked her if I could explain the situation she said "no, because it doesn't matter" I removed myself and my two children from their pratice immediately. At this point I have a tooth that needs to come out, and no dentist to do it. All she had to do was refer me to someone further out of the city (because I was willing to travel) and not be rude on the phone. It's no wonder they're losing all their patients.

This has been my 4th visit..... today I just couldn't do it anymore. My 3rd visit, I went in for a couple fill ins. I came 15 mins early, and end up waiting about 45 mins for my appointment, just to not get what I needed done. I asked the doc to look over a tooth that didn't look right to me and that was it, no fill no nothing because he had other pple to attend to. So I made another appointment for the fill....the receptionist gave me 1015 for today's appointment, even gotten a call to confirm for 1015, just for them to tell me when I came in today that my appointment was at 9.... smh.... talk about angry, all I could do was walk away... after paying for an Uber there and just to come back home... Angry.... I'm in the same field as them, customer service and setting appointments, so it makes me question, how can I be better at what I do, so I don't have my clients feel how I felt, leaving this establishment!

I wish I could start this review off with great things to say. I've been a patient with Harris cosmetic and modern dentist formally known as Dr. Alvin Holmes for over 18 years and I have never had a problem there, however coming back for a cleaning after being away for 6 months I've had an unpleasant visit not from Dr. Harris, Paula, or Diana, but the secretary! She felt as if it was her place to speak on a certain situation concerning me when that was not her place! She's extremely rude and very insensitive! It makes it hard for me to want to return and it makes me really sad because I've been a patient for so long Diana and Paula has become family over the years.

I've never liked my teeth and always had negative experiences with the dentist, ever since I was a kid, leading to me avoiding the office at all costs. If I'd met Dr. Harris and his staff earlier, I wonder if things would have been different. I've never felt happier or more accepting of my smile. I found him and his staff at a time when I was in a dental crisis and can't imagine being in kinder or gentler hands. Everyone should be so lucky.

Great experience, very friendly staff. They helped me understand the process of the procedure. Being an international student out of one's country, they made the experience positive and relaxing during the covid-19 pandemic. Dr Jason Harris had done my root canal procedure which did not feel overwhelming as I had imagined.

Dr. Harris and his staff are absolutely amazing, they are all so nice! I had an infection and ended up needing 2 root canals. He did an awesome job! He was so nice, & compassionate thru out the whole ordeal. My husband who hates the dentist doesn't even mind going to Dr. Harris because he's so compassionate! I haven't had a dentist I would recommend in a long time. If you need a dentist, this is the DENTIST YOU WANT TO SEE!

Friendly, professional and GOOD. My insurance initially denied two root canals so the dentist did everything but. Now that my insurance has approved the root canals, he did such a good job that I don't even need them!

I really appreciate the care, professionalism and attention to detail I received during my emergency visit to Dr Harris office. This man is 'hands on' during everything including billing and the future referral needed. He was non-judgemental and made me feel comfortable. Kudos to my new dentist!!

So even tho we are amidst a pandemic due to covid-19 Dr Harris was able to make accommodations for me. My tooth picked a horrible time to crack and needed to be pulled. The nice people at his office were so so nice and took all the precautions to protect me and themselves in effort to be as safe as possible. Somebody had to be open for dental emergencies and Harris was. I have to give them the highest respect for dealing with this uncertain time in a extremely proffesional way. Thank god for doctor Harris and all the people in the office. I was in incredible pain and they were there for me. It was breath of fresh air to be dealing with such efficient, professional and sympathetic group. I highly recommend Dr Harris for any of your dental needs.

Best dentist experience. I really have always hated going to the dentist. Never had a good experience until now. Dr. Harris was so amazing as well as all of his staff. I love all the ladies and how sweet and welcoming they always are. I have soft teeth that have always been troublesome so going to the dentist always meant something, which stinks, but on top of that they were always in a hurry, and not mindful of pain or care for the patient. Dr. Harris, during only my second appt, had to complete some significant work. I was worried because of my other past experiences. Even from the beginning it was so different. I had to have novacaine and its usually very uncomfortable, even from just that start. Dr. Harris was amazing. I couldn't feel a thing and felt so much more calm because he talked me through things he was doing. He was very thorough and mindful of my needs and feelings during the whole appt. I would most definitely recommend Dr. Harris and his whole staff.

Dr. Harris is absolutely amazing, and as someone that experiences severe anxiety regarding dental procedures, it was refreshing to feel understood and cared for. The staff is phenomenal and i am excited to get the Hollywood smile that i deserve!

Dr. Harris and his staff, Paulia and Asia are absolutely the best! I have had over 50 years of stress and anxiety when visiting the dentist and have delayed seeking treatment because of that. He has enabled me to take an active part in deciding how to proceed with the work that needed to be done and has made the work to be 99% pain abs stress free. And the office has made it easy to meet my financial obligation for the work that has been done. Kudos to this wonderful office and I would highly recommend them to anyone! THANK YOU!

I had my first appt. with Dr. Harris after being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis,among other things,which also comes with dental problems. Dr Harris knew them all. As soon as I arrived all covid protocol was followed by Paula, always friendly and professional at the desk, Diana,an excellent caring hygienist,and Asia, the hygienist who assisted with my exam was kind, gentle and professional. Dr Harris was so knowledgeable about autoimmune diseases and how they effect teeth,gums and the mouth in general. He changed my cleaning regimen and gave me a proactive routine to help with flares. It worked! I highly recommend him to all but especially those suffering with chronic or special medical problems. Trust me , he will make a difference.

Dr. Harris ( Jason) has been my boys dentist for about 3 years now. My oldest has always had a hard time getting work done at the dentist, but Jason was great and patient with him and now he is the only one he will let do dental work on him. He is a great doctor , very caring of his patients. Super glad and relieved I was able to follow him to his new practice!

I had a dental emergency and couldn't find a dentist in the Syracuse area that would and could address my dental crisis. When I called Harris Cosmetic & Modern Dental, Ms. Paulia Donalson was very understanding of my situation and was able to give me an appointment the next day. Ms. Donalson knowledge of my insurance, coupled with her warmth and compassion helped me to breathe easy at my appointment. Ms. Milton, Registered Hygienist, walked me through the process of my teeth cleaning. Ms. Milton also made me feel comfortable and relaxed. While cleaning my teeth, she instructed me on care for my teeth and didn't judge me on the condition of my teeth. She is a gem. Ms. Asiah, the Dental assistant was apologetic when taking impressions of my teeth. She was gentle and kind all the way through the process. Dr. Harris explained my dental x-rays, provided me with options, was knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. Dr. Harris also provided me with preventive measures, I need to take to keep my remaining teeth. Dr. Harris and his staff made me feel comfortable and safe. I will definitely recommend Harris Cosmetic & Modern Dental to my family and friends. Thank you for taking good care of me.
