Dr. Chad Harrington was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. A graduate ofSt. Joseph High School, he attended the University of Denver, where he received his bachelors degree in biology. In 1997, he was named a Hornbeck Scholar for his academic achievement. Dr. Chad, as his younger patients refer to him, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree fromIndiana University School of Dentistryin 2002, graduating with honors and as a member ofOmicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. He also received the Deans Silver Award for academic achievement and the Jack D. Carr Award for predoctoral research in distraction osteogenesis a surgical technique for correction of craniofacial deformities during his dental training.
Dr. Harrington is a graduate ofSt. Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education, where he completed his orthodontic specialty program and received his Master of Science in dentistry in 2004. He is an active member and leader in both theAmerican Dental Associationand theAmerican Association of Orthodontics.
Through his pursuit of continued excellence, Dr. Harrington became involved in theAmerican Board of Orthodontics(ABO) voluntary examination process. Through this process, Dr. Harrington has obtained the status of Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Harrington is a leader in the local components as well, including theIndiana Dental Association, North Central Dental Society, and the Great Lakes Society of Orthodontics. He is committed to making a difference in Dentistry/Orthodontics as well as in our local community.

If I could give ZERO STARS I would. This place was extremely RUDE. Their website says they offer free consultations but when I proceeded to make an appointment I was told the consultation would be $375, when I told the lady their website says they are free she HUNG UP ON ME...... I would go to NATHAN THOMAS ORTHO instead.

Got referral to here from dentist. So glad didn't go here and got second opinion. Doctor Harrington wanted to pull 4 of my daughter's teeth and put an expander in her mouth. My daughter never had any teeth pulled to make room for her other teeth or expander. They were trying to get me to sign paperwork to start right away. I had braces myself so knew what I was getting into and had knowledge of the process. I had to rate an one star at least so goes to show wouldn't put one at all. I took daughter to Dr. Jay Bowman for her orthodontic needs and been very happy with him because my daughter ended up needing a special retainer designed just for her bottom teeth and he designed it himself. Very knowledgeable in his field and even knew my orthodontic. Don't recommend this orthodontic to anyone.

Love the care being provided for my son. I feel confidant in the plan and the staff are always so patient and kind. I would recommend their office to any of my friends and family that need orthodontic care. Update: the plan was successful and my son's crossbite is gone. Dr. Harrington was always very open about the treatment plan and progress and I was very comfortable with the care provided for my son.

I hadn't had dental work in years. I had an excessive overbite and wanted it fixed and I am so glad I was referred to Dr. Harrington. He cares about his patients and does his best to get you to 100%. He is very personable. I finally have the million dollar smile I have always wanted! Thank you so much!!!!

Dr. Harrington and staff are absolutely wonderful. They make you feel like you belong. Very very up to date technology and clean offices both South Bend and Saint Joseph. I would recommend them to anyone!!!!!

It is about 2-3 months into David's and Elizabeth's dental work. It is amazing to see how much has changed so quickly. Have been able to call the orthodontist with any questions. He's super nice and works great with my kids.

We are so happy we chose Harrington Orthodontics as our choice for our three daughters. Several years later all three have finished their process to straighten their teeth. The staff is amazing, friendly and always welcoming. Dr. Chad was an excellent Dr. always available. He accurately designed and discovered what was needed as they grew and processes that helped one daughter open her breathing process based n jaw adjustment. If you choose someone else, I'd say, "Sorry you made that choice."
