Dr. David Harnick attended the University of Maryland, where he received his dental degree. After a successful career as a general dentist, he attended the University of the Pacific for an additional two years and was awarded his Masters in the Science of Dentistry (MSD) with a specialist certificate in orthodontics.
The University of the Pacific program is well known for its treatment of young children and hence is a major influence on Dr. Harnicks philosophy. Dr. Harnick has lectured nationally on orthodontics and Invisalign.
To remain on top of industry trends, Dr. Harnick is a member of several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics, the New Mexico Dental Association, the Albuquerque District Dental Society, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Harnick is also the past president of the New Mexico Association of Orthodontics and has been voted the best orthodontist in Albuquerque the Magazine three times.
To provide patients with the best possible orthodontic care, Dr. Harnick completed hundreds of additional hours and training to become a Board Certified Orthodontist by the American Board of Orthodontists (ABO).
Dr. Kari Harnick was born and raised right here in Albuquerque, NM. She went to the University of New Mexico and earned her bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene and graduated Summa Cum Laude. This gave Dr. Kari a unique perspective about oral health as a whole. She then continued her journey to the University of Pacific-Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. She was selected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society and Tau Kappa Omega honor society.
Following in her fathers footsteps, Dr. Kari decided to pursue the field of orthodontics and completed her orthodontic residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR. This is where she also earned her Masters in Dentistry.

Harnick Orthodontics has been wonderful. I am a 66 yr old woman who has always hated my crooked teeth. I went to Dr. Kari Harnick after my regular dentist recommended their office to see if Invisalign would work for me. I started last December and the results are already amazing. Their office staff is very friendly, and Dr. Harnick has been great explaining every step during each visit. I highly recommend their office.

Great experience with amazing staff! I went in wanting Invisaligns mainly for my bottom crowded teeth. I can describe how happy I am with my teeth now! So glad I went with them instead of trying the "cheaper" (which doesn't always been better) at home options. Having the professionals evaluate my teeth once a month gave me the peace of mine that I wouldn't have had, had I gone with the mail-in options.

Wow. Words cannot describe how amazing Dr.Harnick and her team is. Whether at the Golfcourse location or the other, her team were just exceptional. They always kept me updated with the status of my Invisalign and were always willing to work with me given I go to school in another state. Every appointment was handled with care and professionalism. If you're on the fence about it for whatever reason, I can say, without reservations, Dr.Harnick and her team will do right by you!!

20/10! I had invisalign with them for about a year and a half in order to try to close an open-bite I had developed due to tongue-thrusting. I had gone to see other orthodontists but because of how bad my open bite was, the only thing that was recommended to me was surgery to fix my bite. I finally got recommended to Harnick Orthodontics and was told that they could try to fix my bite but there was no guarantee that my open bite would be closed. I stuck with the treatment and followed all the directions and I'm soo happy to say that my open-bite has finally been closed. I'm so grateful for the treatment I received from them, and the opportunity I had to fix my bite with invisalign instead of needing surgery. Would 100% recommend to anyone!! :)

I walked in for an invisiline consultation and everyone was so welcoming and nice. Smelled like freshness when I walked in...It is a positive and great atmosphere, and the workers are friendly and informational. I highly suggest going to them.

Dr. Kari Harnick and her team are amazing! I went to them after a referral from my dentist for spacing between my teeth had begun to bother me. We elected to do Invisalign and in less than an year I'm in love with my results.

My daughter had such a wonderful experience with Harnick Orthodontics. Dr. Harnick and her team provided efficient care at every dental visit, and they gave regular updates about her progress. Dr. Hartnick and her staff at the Golf Course location are awesome! They are friendly, but professional. I had Invisalign's at 67 years old because some of my teeth had shifted and I could could not be happier with the results!

My daughter started with Invisalign in FL. We moved to Albuquerque and Dr. Harnick was referred by other parents. It was so easy to transfer everything from Florida to Dr. Harnick's office. My daughter loves Dr. Harnick. She loves how gentle he is every time he has to check her mouth. His daughter also is an Orthodontist and works with him. They are both very good at what they do. They make sure their patients get the best treatment possible. My daughter loves it so much that I decided to get treatment with Dr. Harnick as well. We have been seen by both doctors. It's very noticeable that both father and daughter love what they do. There is no other Orthodontist I would recommend. I highly recommend Dr. Harnick and his daughter Dr. Harnick. Also, their staff is very attentive and very nice. I have never had an issue scheduling or rescheduling an appointment. Dr. Harnick is also very well known by other dentists that love his work. Again, highly recommend Dr. Harnick and his staff.

I highly recommend Harnick Orthodontics. I completed an Invisalign treatment with their team, and could not be happier with the results. I approached them with a difficult case and a strict timeline to get the procedure accomplished since I would be moving, and they were able to work with me to accomplish everything on time with fantastic results. I started with an initial consultant, and they provided a picture of the end result and all costs associated with the treatment. This was at no cost and at no point did I feel pressured to move forward with anything until I decided if it was for me. They were amazing to work with and provided professional, knowledgeable, and excellent care. Dr. Kari and Dr. David were great to work with, and they even removed any attachments before my wedding and put them back on after. They were always transparent with their process, what they were doing next, and with any costs associated with the treatment. They were personable, caring, and truly made me feel welcomed and heard during the whole treatment. Their team was equally as excellent and provided personable and professional care. I highly recommend Harnick Orthodontics for any ortho treatment.
