She decided to specialize in orthodontics because she enjoys tackling the more challenging cases. She enjoys observing the transformation that occurs when the patients realize how beautiful their smile has become.
Dr. Mathieson was born in Tulsa, OK but has lived in multiple states as her mom moved around the country for her medical training as a physician. Dr. Mathieson graduated from high school in Tampa, FL before moving to Georgia to attend college.
Dr. Mathieson graduated from Agnes Scott College where she majored in astrophysics and minored in music. She played varsity level collegiate tennis and was involved in student council and residence life.
Dr. Mathieson and her husband were married in Alpharetta, GA and ultimately wanted to return to Georgia when she finished her dental and orthodontic training. Dr. Mathieson began practicing orthodontics once they moved back to the Atlanta area.
Today, Dr. Mathieson is so excited to have her own space to practice orthodontics and take excellent care of her patients. Dr. Mathieson is dedicated to providing high-quality orthodontic care to patients of all ages.
Dr. Mathieson is passionate about technology and lifelong-learning. She created an office to make the orthodontic experience as enjoyable as possible utilizing digital technology including scanners instead of alginate molds.
As a busy mom herself, she wants things to be efficient and convenient at her office. Dr. Mathieson lives in northern Roswell and visits Canton frequently because her parents live close to the office.
When Dr. Mathieson is not creating beautiful smiles in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family (husband and son), gardening, hiking, fostering animals with local rescue groups, crafting and sewing.

With the same technology that NASA uses, NiTi wires exert a continuous force against the teeth to move them in the right direction. This gets rid of the need for wire tightening. This means you spend less time in braces, and the time you do spend is more comfortable.

FIRST & foremost if you're looking for an Orthodontist, just stop looking. You've found buried treasure when dealing with Dr.Mathieson & Mo. I got here because another orthodontist office treated me badly and I did not want to return so with a simple google search I came across Harmony. Everything was smooth, the appointments, paperwork, knowing the prices of everything. These are the sweetest ladies you'll ever meet. These other offices they make you feel like a number. Dr. M & Mo make you feel like family. You're able to set up a payment arrangements for the remainder of your services, which I could not do at another office. I got my braces and even got my daughters done, so now we get to experience this together. This is hands down the best experience I've ever had and so grateful I stumbled across this office. The ratings are telling the truth!

I went to Harmony Orthodontics to have my retainer fixed. Everyone was so friendly & welcoming. Dr. Mathieson & her staff Mo, made me feel very comfortable. It was a peaceful & relaxing experience. No stress in fixing my permanent retainer. I will definitely go back and make them my permanent orthodontist .

I'm currently getting the SPARK aligners at Harmony and I'm incredibly pleased!! They are so comfortable and easy to use, plus every experience in Dr. Mathieson's office is an amazing one. There's great communication and I never get nervous coming despite my fear of dental work from past offices. If you're looking for a great orthodontic experience I highly suggest Harmony!

Moe, a member of Dr. Mathieson's team, patiently, answered all my questions regarding the pros and cons of braces versus clear aligners. I decided on ceramic braces. Dr. Mathieson did a great job putting the braces on; it was easy and painless. The team at the office were very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend them.

I'm so happy I chose to go with Harmony Orthodontics for my braces. The office is nice and kept clean. Mo and Dr. Mathieson are simply awesome. They are both so welcoming, on time and great at explaining everything clearly. I highly recommend!

I am very pleased with Harmony Orthodontics. I have two kids in braces. My oldest had braces previously. I was unhappy with my son's previous Orthodontist because we did not agree on the best way to maintain his smile once the braces were removed. My concerns came true as my son's teeth slowly began to shift back to how they were prior to him getting braces. Rather than take him back to his previous Orthodontist, I contacted Harmony Orthodontics. Dr. Mathieson made me feel at ease as she clearly discussed my son's treatment plan. We are on the same page with the type of preferred retainer for my child once the braces are removed. I am now very happy to have both of my kids under the care of Harmony Orthodontics.
