Born and raised in Colombia, Dr. Paola has been practicing dentistry for over a decade. Having originally earned her Doctor in Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Santo Toms University in 2001, Dr. Paola moved to the United States and continued her training, earning her Doctor in Dental Medicine degree (DMD) and a certificate in Oral Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania.
For the past several years, Dr. Paola has been working in private practice, treating patients from diverse backgrounds, dental conditions, and ages (including children). She is dedicated to education, prevention, and the highest standards of patient care while nurturing a friendly and relaxed environment. She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Pennsylvania Dental Association (PDA) and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
Dr. Paola and her family are long time residents of Montgomery County. She enjoys outdoor activities while spending time with her husband, four boys and dog, Piper. She also has interests in furniture upcycling and a variety artistic pursuits.
The Gendex Digital Panoramic x-ray system provides high-quality images of the patients mouth that is easily adjustable for any size. It also provides panoramic, bite-wing and Focus-Optimized X-rays to give the dentists the most accurate picture with increased depth-of-field for optimized radiographic image clarity. The proprietary FOX technology allows for instant capture of the image and consistent magnification image uniformity. The EasyPosition system and instructive alignment guides appropriately place and stabilize patients of all sizes, including those needing wheelchair accessibility, to reduce movement and optimize accuracy.
The Velscope Vx handheld device emits a harmless, bright blue light which is used to inspect the mouth and tongue. The device is sensitive to abnormal tissue changes and the distinctive blue-spectrum light causes the soft tissue (oral mucosa) of the mouth to naturally fluoresce. Healthy tissues fluoresce in distinct patterns that may be visibly disrupted when tissue undergoes an abnormal change (which can occur in the oral mucosa for a multitude of reasons,) such as when associated with dysplasia or oral cancer.
Some of the most frequently used clinical applications in dentistry include: postsurgical, analgesia after restorations and endodontics, nausea and gagging, facial pain/neuralgia and soft tissue lesions such as herpes lesions, denture sores, and angular chelitis.

Our office teamed up with the Fort Washington Elementary School to collect Halloween candy to send to our troops overseas to sweeten their day through Operation Gratitude. The prize for the winning class was a pizza party! All the classes collected a great amount of candy (a total of 613 pounds!!!). The winning class was the kindergarteners from Mrs. Youngs class with an outstanding collection of 59.1 pounds of candy! Members of the community also stopped by our office to drop off their donations of Halloween candy. We shipped 11 boxes filled with candy along with some notes from the students. We are so proud to be part of such a generous community! We thank our troops for their hard work and dedication to our country.

Extremely satisfied with my experience at Harmony Dental. I'm not so good with change but I gave it a shot and went to a new office. Immediately greeted with a smile, filled out my paperwork and in the chair quickly. Hygienist was great, teeth feel squeaky clean. The assistant and Doctor where also great. They explained everything wonderfully and helped me understand the importance of good dental health. I highly recommend Dr. Steve and his team.!!

I have anxiety really bad when going to the dentist. My first visit was very comfortable. Friendly staff and the Doctor explained everything clearly I felt very comfortable. Highly recommend.

I expected it to be extremely difficult to pick a new dental practice after mine retired and closed. After over 40 years with the same practice. I found Harmony on Google and gave them a call. It only took 15 minutes speaking with Lauren to know I was in good hands. She assured me about my insurance coverage and was very friendly, patient, and understanding. She set everything up within days. My first cleaning, and my first visit with Dr Paola to extract a tooth that had started to seriously hurt. Everything was painless. They took great care of me from the beginning. I even received a checkup call the next day. I am extremely grateful and thankful I've found a new home in dental care.

Dr. Steve and Michelle were great at making feel comfortable and give detailed explanations of what they were going to do and the WHY they were doing what they were doing. I was never pressured into anything and felt Dr. Steve has my best interest at heart. I am glad I chose Harmony Dental to be my dentist now and for the future.
