Dr. RodolfoVargasis a Pediatric Specialist who has practiced dentistry for over 30 years. He completed his dental and pediatric dental studies at the esteemed Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, New York in 1984 and 1986, respectively.
Over the next 15 years or so, Dr.Vargaslogged several accomplishments, including becoming an Assistant Professor and then Chairman of the Pediatric Departmentat the University of San Carlos in his hometown of Guatemala City. He also started his own private practice and worked for several years in Chicago, before moving to Harlingen, Texas, where he has been living and working for the past 14 years.
When hes not in the office, Dr.Vargasenjoys spending time with his wife and their dog, Duke. He's also a big sports fan and enjoys watching football, baseball, tennis and soccer. He loves the beach and makes an effort to visit South Padre Island whenever he can!
Dr. Vanesa Guerra Clements was born in Harlingen and grew up in the Rio Grande Valley area. After graduating from Baylor University, Dr. Clements attended the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston andearned her degree in Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS).Dr. Clements began practicing general dentistry in Dallas, Texas. In the summer of 2011,sheopened her private practice - Legacy Dental -in Brownsville, fulfillinga lifelong dream of returning home and serving those in her community. In 2019, she joined forces with Dr. Rodolfo Vargas and Dr. Maritza Chavez to open up Harlingen Heights Dental!
Dr. Clements is committedto providing the best care possible for her patientsand strives to stay up-to-date on the latest in dental health care. She has participated in numerous continuing education courses and attends several dental conferences throughout the country every year. She also is a member of the Rio Grande Valley Dental Association,the Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Clements enjoyseducating her patients on the benefits of oral hygiene and hasattended a multitude of Career Day events at localschools.
Family time is important to Dr. Clements and she enjoys chasing after her two young kiddos. Her husband, Joseph, is the Vice President of Operations at both Legacy Dental and Harlingen Heights Dental. Dr. Clements also enjoys shopping, baking, listening to music and exercising. She is an avid runner who has participated(and won trophies) in several marathons, half marathons, and 5K events!

Had a great experience at Harlingen Heights Dental. I was very anxious as I hadn't visited a dentist in a while but the staff made me feel extremely comfortable. Mary the dental assistant and Laura the dental hygienist were very kind and professional. They explained and answered all of my questions. Dr. Vargas was very sweet and professional as well. Looking forward to my next visit

Amazing experience. Mary was extremely attentive and made my 3 babies (9,8,4 year olds) feel at home and comfortable!! No hassle at all. Everyone was multitasking to get all 3 of my kiddos teeth cleaned and examined. So glad we found Dr. Vargas again!!! Another plus was Sams is so right behind the building so was able to get some shopping in as well.

Staff was ver professional and corteis. Dr. Vargas did an awesome Job on my husband infected moler site. We had seen two other Dentist in Mexico and my husband continued with extreme pain. Dr. Vargas treatment took care of my husband's pain mediately! Dental assistance Mary was very pleasant and helpful too!

Our first time here and our experience was great. Quick service and everyone is so nice and helpful, they walk the parents and kids through all the steps they are doing. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back for the kids next cleaning. 10 out of 10!

Great Experience from start to finish!. When I walked in I was greeted by the receptionist, Becca. She quickly attended to me and was welcoming in the process. Short wait time in the lobby. Lobby was full of fun games for my daughter. When we were called in for the appointment.. The x-ray technician was very patient and took her time. She rewarded my daughter which she really enjoyed and I appreciated as well. The hygiene technician was also very kind, patient and explained what she was doing. My daughter was so comfortable with Ms. Lynn while she cleaned her teeth. When we got to see Doctor Vargas and his assistant both were very welcoming and introduced themselves. They took the time to talk to my daughter and make her comfortable before they started. They even let her hold the instruments when she really enjoyed being a part of the process. The doctor also went over her x-ray in detail. Thank you for this great experience! A+ overall !!!

Our first visit to this office was this past Monday. We were greeted and welcomed when we arrived. The play area kept my toddler entertained while I filled out paperwork. Mr. Vargas and the assistant were awesome! My toddler always cries when she goes to the dentist but not this time. Overall, it was a good experience. I highly recommend this place for your child.
