The most amazing cleaning I have yet to receive out of my 24 years of living. Lina did a great job even more so by going the extra mile to ensure I got a detailed cleaning where my permanent retainers are at the top and bottom. I can say I've never had this experience with any other hygienist. If you have an upcoming appointment make sure to request her! :) You won't regret it!

My wife has cancer, can't walk and has to be transported by ambulance. She has a bad tooth ache, made an appointment, was told she had to see the dentist first, then come back for consultation with the oral surgeon regarding an extraction. So, on the second visit, she was told that Dr. Nunez could not see her nor do the extraction, that she'd be referred to another surgeon. No explanation, no answer for why we weren't told this over the phone when I called the day before. Really a bad experience, two ambulance trips for nothing. Not even enough respect for a very ill patient to come and explain to her what happened. It was traumatic for her, to say the least.

Every time I have an appointment, I have to wait more than a hour to be seen even though I was early to my appointment. I think they need a new office manager but at the end of the day the owner/dr. Is the one who that ultimar is dropping the ball. I'm going to start looking for another dental office that really appreciate my business.

the doctor don't want to see me for my yearly checkup because I don't get my teeth filling because the doctor he send me said they don't take my insurance and I called my insurance and they send me list but half of the doctors half of them don't take my insurance or don't take new patients and now I have to look for a new doctor I don't recommend him

Staff were very polite. I'm usually really nervous & anxious at Dentistrys, but the Hygienist & Dr were very professional. I had one of my tooth, which was sensitive. The Dr. Made sure I wasn't in pain & did through treatment plan :). Probably the best Dentist Apt I've had.

I had a terrible experience today at this place and it is very similar to other reviews I see here. I will be contacting the better business bureau about this because it is very upsetting to me and we have rights! I went in for a cleaning ( the same cleaning that I have been getting at this place every 3 mths. I contacted them before going and after several attempts finally got someone to look into my new insurance plan and was told that I would not pay anything under my new plan. When I was sitting on the dentist's chair before the procedure a girl came in with a pad and forms showing me some expenses that I would pay for. I asked and found out that they were added things nothing I usually get or asked for so I told her to remove them. If I had not asked they were not going to tell me that they were not usual procedures but added on and I was going to have to pay for them if I had not had the girl remove them (it was fluoride and some antiseptic wash) that we're going to be included in the cleaning WITHOUT my knowledge. So before the girl left she confirmed that I would pay nothing out of pocket which is what I was expecting as per the calls I had made prior to the visit. Before I left I was told by the insurance department lady that I owed $100+ but "it was ok because I had a credit of over $100" That was the first time I heard of any credit. Evidently I had overpaid on one of my previous visits ... months, maybe 6 or more, before !! So first if all why was I having to pay after being told that I didn't have toAND why doesn't this place inform us about credits or send us the$ like they should. If I had moved to another dentist, what were they going to do with my$$? This happened to me years ago, too, when my kids were very young. I was told that I had a credit but I never used it and they just kept it... same place. Something is wrong with that! Something is very wrong with the way these people are doing business. I couldn't actually speak to anyone in the insurance dept on the phone before going in for this visit because they never answered their phones( I tried no less than 4 times. I had to finally leave a message with whoever answered the phone and they passed my message on to the insurance department. The girl that took the message assured me she would get back to me asap (it was before the visit when I was trying to verify benefits) well, she didn't get back to me. After 2 days I called back and whoever answered this time told me that my benefits had been confirmed. So why the heck didn't anyone call me! I had to be the one to call and was told I would not pay anything so I went ahead and made the appointment. And then had this terrible experience!! I want my credit and I want someone to stop these things from happening. In the meantime I will look for another dental place. I love my hygienist at Hgn Family Dentistry but not enough to keep going through this unfair treatment from the office personnel and insurance department staff.

Seems to have been a good clinic back in time, but from my current experience it has gone down to one of my worst experiences. The management side is just terrible, terrible check-in times, they tell you to show up at one time and you won't be checked in until 1-2 hours after your appointment time. Show up early and you'll be waiting way past your check-in time. This has become a consistent issues, I have no doubt that the medical is professional and experts at their craft, but the management side of the customers kills the whole experience. For those that have to take time off to take their kids to an appointment and be told that the dentist is not there, or just be told that we must reschedule for a different day when nothing is being done wrong at the customer side is unacceptable. This looks like dentistry that puts their profits from insurance companies first before their customers and it is proving to be the case. Any signs of complaints get passed by as "We are sorry for this ", it is beginning to be a pattern and their consistency is terrible. If you really value your time I would highly advise to look elsewhere.

I've always a good experience at this dentistry. I would like to recognize Dr. Tony Kim who last treated me for my complain of teeth enamel loss. Dr. Kim was very knowledgeable on the subject and explained the causes and treatment for my condition. He went above and beyond when I asked him to put in writing the diagnosis of my condition for my personal use.

I visited Family Dentistry today and was deeply disappointed. I went in for a cleaning, specifically asked they do nothing unless I was told the fee. They did all the X-rays and exams my insurance was going to be covering. Only wanted a cleaning not everything that my insurance would be covering. When it came to my cleaning they recommended a deep cleaning that would be costing me 168.00 after insurance. Then an appointment was needed for me to see another dentist about my jaw. This meant returning and am sure more money. I refused and walked out with nothing done except what my insurance would be paying. The bottom line with this office is "money". I came from Houston area. These kind of prices aren't even this high there. Previously my deep cleaning was covered, same insurance for years. I saw one post on their reviews covering this kind of billing and I figured one negative review was not going to convince me not to try them. Needless to have to admit, I should have paid attention. I would not recommend them to anyone unless money is not an issue. Sad since all their personnel are very kind and knowledgeable. Still not worth a return trip for me.

They are horrible in scheduling and they want you to do one thing at a time. Went in for a cleaning and they ended up saying the hygienist was gone and that our appointment was for something else.

They do good work if you have time. Plan on spending on spending 1 - 1 1/2 hours to get in after your appointment time. We changed dental clinics.

I had upper and lower dentures made at Harlingen Family Dentist. Five weeks from start to finish, (Dentist was at a conference one week). Lowers hurt the first week. Went in and had them adjusted. No pain from then on. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

This place is AMAZING!! The staff and dentists are super friendly! Dentist Luciano is phenomenal. He takes your time in treating you to make sure he does a good job and that the patient is fully satisfied. The only thing I would tweak a little is... the appointment time scheduling. Perhaps, if they could make it closer to the time scheduled, would be nice. HOWEVER, I am super satisfied with everyone there. I felt welcomed and the dentist did a GREAT JOB! Thank you Dr. Luciano I'm super happy with my smile, now! Thank you, too, Sierra! :) Oh, also, thanks, Steven for making my appointment happen!
