Harkins & Silliman Family Dentistry was founded in Douglasville, Georgia, in 1992. Drs. Erin Harkins-Silliman and Scott Silliman are a husband and wife team who wanted to create a small family practice, emphasizing personal, quality dental care. They were inspired by Erins father, Dr. George Harkins, a popular pediatrician in the area, known for his warm and engaging personality. In dentistry, as in medicine, the number one objective is to provide the best care possible to the patient. Dr. George Harkins lived by that rule, and we strive to do the same each and every time we treat a patient. Our practice has been recognized in the category of Americas Best Dentists by The Consumer Research Corporation. We have also been named a Five Star Dentist by Atlanta Magazine, and earned the Small Business of Excellence Award from the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Scott Silliman completed his undergraduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Silliman completed an Externship in Reconstructive Dentistry at the Indian Health Service in Tacoma, Washington. His interests include sports, exercise, music, and travel.
Dr. Erin Harkins completed her undergraduate studies at Mount Holyoke College and Georgia Institute of Technology. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Harkins completed an Externship in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at Guys Hospital in London, England. Her hobbies include exercising, travel, photography, gourmet cooking, Scrabble, and quality family time.

We have been with Dr. Silliman and his amazing team of professionals for four decades. From routine work to complex issues, we have always received outstanding, compassionate services. Not only is he a highly skilled dentist, he genuinely cares about the well being of his patients. During the pandemic lockdown, I was able to reach Dr. Silliman by phone, we discussed my issue, and he suggested safe solutions for my problem. When the offices reopened recently, the staff made sure I was seen and took careful attention to insure my visit meet the highest safety guidelines. In closong, I need to admit that prior to the relationship with Dr. Silliman, I had an aversion to going to the dentist. He changed my views and now my entire family appreciate and value him and his staff. I can honestly say I now look forward to my regular check ups.

I had not been to a Dentist in almost 4 years due to the pandemic and other reasons. The visit to Harkins & Silliman was a pleasure. The entire staff was very friendly and very professional. My Hygienist, Anjie, was very thorough and made me feel very comfortable.As was Dr. Silliman . Plus to my surprise I had a good checkup. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

Honest care no up charges. Friendly and caring staff. When you walk in the door you feel like you're at a friend or family members home. No one really likes going to the doctors/dentist but when you're welcomed in by warm caring people and a dentist with expert experience then you can somewhat look forward to going..

We have been using Dr Silliman for 10 years. We never have a long wait. The staff is always friendly. My wife had a traumatic experience with a dentist as a child and this office has always been patient and understanding with her anxiety. She no longer gets anxious prior to dental appts or procedures. Our hygienist is the best!! She has been taking care of our daughter's teeth since she was 7. She takes the time to remember all the sports she plays and makes us feel like family. We recommend this office to anyone who asks where they can find a good dentist. 10/10 best dental office ever.

I absolutely LOVE going to this dentist! Zella, my dental hygienist, is very personable, skilled, and always makes my cleaning a comfortable experience! The doctors are professional and very friendly as well! I highly recommend this practice! They are honest!! The front desk is very helpful and friendly, as well! I ALWAYS walk away with a smile!
