Dr. Nam believes that prevention is better than the best defense against the many oral health problems anyone can face. By educating families about proper oral hygiene, healthy habits, and healthy smiles, she carries a lifelong dedication to exceptional oral health and wellbeing. She wants the children to enjoy their interactions with the dentist so that they'll love revisiting their dentists for years to come. She can do this through specialized training, education, personality, and skills. She also uses modern technology to help achieve her goals. Dr. Nam uses laser dentistry in most of the treatment as it helps eliminate the need for needles and shots. Laser dentistry also helps to reduce the discomfort patients are feeling during and after the treatment. No need for drills; therefore, it dramatically reduces patient anxiety, particularly to some children, when they hear the sound of the drill in the dental chair. When treating patients, she believes that treating children with respect and using age-appropriate methods and loving attention is the key to stress-free dental care. Understanding that each child is unique while determining the needs of each family member is how Dr. Nam delivers gentle treatment and cultivates a positive dental experience.

Dr. Nam loves children! She focuses on working a relationship with you and your child first so that your child will feel safe and cared for. When your child needs dental treatment, we request that you remain positive before and during the treatment. Your children can sense anxiety, and they 'll feel it. It will be a lot difficult to treat an anxious child, and it will affect how they see their dentists. Avoid using words such as 'needle,' 'shot,' or 'pulling teeth.' Instead, use child-friendly words such as 'whistly toothbrush,' 'sleepy juice,' 'Tooth Counter,' 'Wiggle your tooth,' 'Mr. Thirsty,' etc. Dr. Nam uses the 'Tell-Show-Do' technique. First, she tells the child what exactly they 'll be doing, then shows it to them using their finger or through modeling, then finally 'Do' the treatment. Children will have less anxiety and will do much better as they know what to expect. The fear of the 'unknown' is addressed; therefore, they won 't be shocked or stressed out about what their dentist is going to do to them.

Hardy Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics: Lakewood - Pediatric dentist in Denver, CO

A common misconception in orthodontics, particularly with children, is to commence treatment even if just a few adult teeth have erupted. However, only a few of these cases require early treatment. While it may be true that treating early can improve the child's smile in the future, most children will need a second round of braces once all their adult teeth have come out. Dr. T.C. Hardy believes in a more conservative approach that is the one-phase-of-braces method to orthodontic treatment. This approach can help you to save you and your child money, time, and unnecessary dental work. Using Dr. T.C. Hardy's procedure, the entire treatment is done in 24 months.

Although the approach is more on the conservative side, Dr. T.C, Hardy still believes that it is essential to bring your child to an orthodontist at an early age to make sure that no severe dental issue can arise. The initial treatment is recommended when the child is around seven years of age. The first treatment can benefit some younger patients, but take note that they will not need braces until they are at least 11 years old. This conservative approach provides enormous cost, time, and prevents unnecessary treatments.

We offer our practice with two specialties for your convenience at Hardy Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. When you select your specialist for your oral health, you are choosing a higher level of care. This level is achieved through our training, education, and 100% dedication to the skills needed for a problem-free outcome and successful diagnosis of that specialty. When you choose the right specialist, you are simply a step away from achieving a healthy, happy smile. Each orthodontist has a unique approach to straightening teeth and improving your oral health. Dr. T.C. Hardy focuses on how your face will look after the treatment - not just how your teeth will look. Hardy Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics has a variety of orthodontic treatment options to cater to your oral health needs. The advances in medical technology now offer more than just the traditional braces when it comes to straightening the teeth. Kids and even adults will love how the clear braces will look but still functions the same as conventional braces. The ceramic brackets not just control how your brackets will look, but it also performs better than conventional brackets and reduces the buildup of bacteria buildup around the bracket. These aesthetic brackets are made to offer better strength, more natural bonding, and cleaner debonding. At Hardy Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, we offer Invisalign, Incognito braces , clear braces, and hidden lingual braces for your orthodontic treatment. Not all braces are right for everyone; that is why Dr. T.C. Hardy will work with you to provide the right option for your needs.

Hardy Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics believes that patients need to be educated about their treatment to have an enjoyable, and worry-free dental care. Patient education helps to make informed decisions with your treatment. We want to make you feel that you are a part of the treatment process. Dr. T.C. Hardy specializes in working with children and teens, but he is also set up to treat adults as well. Dr. T.C. Hardy and Dr. Nam are prepared and dedicated to making your Pediatric treatment or orthodontic treatment at Lakewood, CO as convenient and as comfortable as they can.

Dr. Timothy Hardy is a graduate of BS Engineering from Tufts University. He then earned his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. An orthodontist is a dentist whose main focus is to straighten a patient's teeth. Orthodontists are specialists who diagnose and treat patients in childhood, adolescence, and adulthood with an underbite, overbite, crossbite, misaligned teeth, deep bites, malocclusion, overcrowded mouths, and treating improper bite, closing wide gaps between the teeth and many other oral health problems that aim not only to improve the appearance of the teeth but better chewing and speech function. All orthodontists, including Dr. T.C. Hardy, have at least four years of training in dental school after they graduated from college. Dentists either graduate as Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Orthodontists receive special training to fix misaligned teeth. Orthodontists will have to study for two additional years at dental schools to get qualified as orthodontists. They also have passed the required exams on the state that they practice in.

Orthodontists treat problems related to the teeth and gum, facial muscles, upper and lower jaws. Surgery may not be needed if orthodontic treatment can correct the problem. If the procedure needs surgery, the orthodontist usually collaborates with an oral surgeon.

Orthodontics uses braces to correct the alignment of the teeth. Orthodontists at Hardy Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics office usually avoid extraction as much as possible, but if there is severe crowding, they may pull one or more teeth to correct the problem.

Yes. Orthodontists are types of doctors who have received extensive practice in treating and diagnosing an oral health condition. Orthodontists at Hardy Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics have completed dental school and have pursued this career as their specialty. They will need two or three years of studies and more than 48,000 hours of orthodontic training to become orthodontists.

Pediatric dentistry offers unique care for children that a general dentist cannot. Dr. Nam took an additional two years of specialized dental training and education after completing dental school. This includes studying child psychology, growth and development, and the specific dental and emotional needs of her young patients. Her focus is on providing a safe and fun environment that promotes great oral hygiene habits and a healthy outlook on visiting the dentist, meant to last a lifetime.

Pediatric dentists see patients from 0 to 18 years old. Similar to what pediatric doctors do, a pediatric dentist at Hardy Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics can take care of the baby's teeth until their pre-teens. It is recommended to see the general dentist when they turn 19 years old.

A pediatric dentist has studied two to three more years of speciality training. During their training, the pediatric dentist at Hardy Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics can learn about the unique needs of children. This is one of the many reasons you need to get your child to pediatric dentists than general dentists.

Dr. Nam and her staff are amazing! They were all so nice and really took care of my grandson during his first ever dental exam! They were quick and to the point with him but took their time while explaining everything we needed to know. We we're treated like family and couldn't be happier with our choice in dentists.

This was my 16-month-old daughter's first dental visit. The decor of their office is cute. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Dr. Nam gave me plenty of advice and suggestions for caring for my baby girl's teeth too

Brought my daughter here for her first dental visit and it had been a wonderful experience for the both of us. She was squirming a bit at first because she was nervous but they tried to comfort her and eventually, she finally settled down. The staff was friendly and they were patient in answering all of my questions too.

I brought my 3-year-old brother here for his first dental exam. They offered me some great advice on brushing his teeth and they had some cool stuff in the waiting room. Dr. Nam is a wonderful person so is the rest of the staff. They make you feel at ease, allow you to ask several questions and answer them without getting impatient, and appear to truly care about kids. You may need to schedule an appointment ahead of time, but it is without a doubt a great location to take your child. To anyone searching for a competent pediatric dentist lakewood, I recommend this place.

My kid and I had a wonderful experience during our entire visit at hardy pediatric dentistry & orthodontics! Their office is welcoming and clean. The childrens dentist and staff are patient, understanding, and knowledgeable when it comes to working with small children. I am grateful for the care and attention given to my 18-month-old during his initial checkup. Also, the cost of their service is surprisingly not expensive at all.

The staff here clearly knows how to deal with children. They were patient with trying to make my child feel comfortable before proceeding with his dental cleaning. While cleaning, the pediatric dentist still entertains my kid so as to distract him from the actual procedure. In the end, my son didn't cry nor express any discomfort which I'm really grateful.

My child recently had three fillings in, and she had a great time. The team and Dr. Nam Hardy kept my daughter comfortable during her entire treatment while keeping me informed of each step. Fantastic service, reasonable price, and wonderful staff! Definitely recommend this practice if you're searching for a wonderful dentist for kids nearby.

A relative of mine recommended Dr. Nam and said that she's an amazing pediatric dentist. I gave it a try and brought my children to their kids dental lakewood office. I'm happy that I did! My son usually feels fear of the dentist, and they've gone out of their way to make him feel at ease. My daughter hasn't been checked by them yet, but they always make her feel comfortable and allow her to look around the instruments and watch her brother undergoing his dental cleaning procedure. The staff did a good job to make us feel welcome. Their treatments are affordable as well.

Thank you for taking the time to see both of my daughters for their regular cleaning. The staff knew just how to make my children feel comfortable. Dr. Nam was patient and compassionate toward my girls. You could tell she genuinely enjoys working with children. The office is wonderful and their treatment price is quite affordable.

My daughter always has such a great experience coming in for her visits. The entire staff is so good with her, letting her look at her x-rays as the pictures are taken and explaining what each little instrument does.

I've been going here for my son's dental cleaning since he was a year old and he's now 5. The pediatric dentist and the staff are professional and polite. They provide good customer service. The environment is clean and their dental services are affordable. It takes me about half an hour to get here, but it's still worth the effort because I'm happy watching my son smile and be comfortable during his regular checkup unlike most children who are usually afraid about going to the dentist. Wishing for more blessings to your business!

This dental clinic is fantastic! I initially chose them since they were near my previous house in Lakewood and had several good reviews. Now that we moved far away, I still continue to go here because I can't imagine taking my child anywhere else! The staff is always compassionate, and the pediatric dentist always does a good job in getting my 3 year old to lay down for cleaning! I would really suggest taking your kid here if you're searching for a good pediatric dentist in Lakewood that provides excellent service at an affordable price!

For the past year, my four-year-old has been going here for his regular checkup and dental cleaning. The staff follows the necessary precautions and new protocols to ensure everyone's safety, especially with COVID-19 still around. They are also considerate and comfortable to talk to. During our first visit, they explained all the available payment options they have. When it came to my child's appointments, the receptionist was quite helpful. As a kids dentist, Dr. Nam Hardy was patient with my little one and explained everything about his teeth to me in a clear manner.

First time here today. I took my three young kids. Everyone there made the experience wonderful. They were super friendly and understanding, and even made my two-year-old feel comfortable during his first dental exam. Love this clinic and will be back :-)

When we first started our treatment the service was great and Dr. Hardy was present often. As time went on the Dr. was rarely there and the service went down. By the time we were done with treatment I was wishing we would have went somewhere else. Both boys complained of painful treatments, as in cutting their gums up until they bled and of the girls being careless and overly rough on their mouth, looking at their phones etc. At my sons first cleanings after removal of braces our dentist was shocked at how much cement was left on their teeth and even questioned who had performed their service. I am sorry to leave this review as we had high hopes and Dr. Hardy is a great doctor but toward the end it did not feel like Dr. Hardy was running the show at Belmar.

I don't write reviews based on a first time visit. So, after a second visit, here we go with my observations and recommendations: The staff were courteous and professional in their dealings. On the other hand, the kids were happy and looked forward to our appointment with the Hardy team. I recommend them highly.

Friendly staff who worked quickly and efficiently! My concerns were addressed and a treatment plan was made that aligned with what I was hoping for. Other patients seemed to get great care as well. Highly recommend!
