Dr. Hardy wants a practice that is one of personal interaction with his patients. Patients travel from nearby Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Henderson, and Wake Forest, and as far away as Wilmington, Fayetteville, Goldsboro, and Rocky Mount to see them. He believes in having a practice that is centered around the core values of treating his patients the right way, honoring their diversity, and making sure the latest in dentistry is provided to them.
Dr. James G. Hardy As a member of Old North State Dental Society, I established my Louisburg, North Carolina practice in 1981, intent on offering access to affordable dental care to all. My practice represents a genuine will to help others and has flourished for 35 years by adding patients across Franklin, Wake, Nash, Vance, and Warren counties.
Growing up the son of a sharecropper in North Hampton County in rural North Carolina, I knew the incredible need to improve oral health through education, prevention, and effective treatment in small communities. Today, I have become a well-known local dentist committed to helping patients transform not only their smile, but their overall health.
In 1981, I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where I was recognized for outstanding clinical work in endodontics by the American College of Dentistry. That same year, I hung my sign as a solo practitioner: James G. Hardy, D.D.S. in the heart of Louisburg with one dental assistant and three operatory rooms! During this time I also treated patients at a public health clinic in Soul City, North Carolina, as a 2-year service commitment to National Health Service Corps.
Today, the practice boasts 10 operatories and a staff of 12, including my first-born child, Dr. Alecia Hardy. Together as a father/daughter dental team, we also operate a dental clinic at the Wake County Detention Center each Friday to provide necessary dental care to inmates.
Known as a gentle giant, I attribute my success to being a naturally compassionate and patient person who makes time to deliver genuine and heartfelt patient care with modern techniques. I am most proud of the impact I have made improving the dental IQ and oral health conditions throughout an area where access to care was once very limited.
When Im not busy giving my patients a reason to smile or spending time with my wife, three daughters, and extended family, I can be found on the golf course, participating in long-distance running, enjoying a movie, or in my congregation at Davie Street Presbyterian Church in Raleigh.

I admired the quickness of my procedures. I was in and out. I do fine this dentist to be a bit pricey thought. However, after me prolonging my procedures and my insurance payment had been processed, I found it necessary to proceed with the work which I know should have been done at a lesser rate .

The office is clean, spacious, modernized, and comfortable! All staff I met seemed really nice. Dr Hardy didn't rush my counseltation, made me aware of my issues and the resolution to them. He answered my question, made sure I understood everything and had an assistance to follow up with me before leaving. I'm satisfied that he and his staff is able to, capable of performing procedures I need in his office.

It's good to be in the hands of people who make you feel comfortable and safe. Dr. Hardy work comes so easy and painless. My issues with my teeth worried me but to Dr. Hardy its its effortless. Really Professional and listen to your concerns.

This was my first visit to Hardy Family Dentistry. I went for a consultation, I must admit I was very apprehensive giving the nature of my consultation. However I was immediately put at ease, the Staff is very friendly and I did not feel like a first time patient but felt like I had been going there for years. Dr Hardy is very personable, caring and knowledgeable, he examined me, explained what needed to be done, advised what the best option for my individual situation was and the plan of action to accomplish that option medically and financially. Additionally Dr Hardy took time and did a follow-up call to me the day after my appointment, even though the office was closed, he stated he was calling to make sure they had addressed all my questions and concerns and to make sure they explained everything thoroughly and to see if I had any additional questions/concerns. I was very pleased with my visit and will definitely be going back

On Saturday afternoon, a crown came loose. Luckily it wasn't damaged. I called the office at 8:15 Monday morning. I was told to be at the office when it opened at 9:00 am. By 9:25, the repair was completed and I was headed to a 10:00 am appointment in Wake Forest, and there was no charge! As always, the staff was friendly and professional. Hardy Dentistry is just THE best.

Excellent dental service. Does a thorough evaluation. Makes recommendations. Has experience, wisdom, & knowledge. Skillful hands in operating assessment tools & providing treatment. Definitely knows the nerves because I didn't feel a thing. The staff works as a team and complement each other. I'm pleased with my fillings and crown. Would also like to give a shout out to the front office staff. Very courteous & pleasant.

Hello I have been going to Hardy Family Dentistry for over 18 years. I will continue to go. They always go above and beyond for me as a patient. I am very pleased with all my services they have done. Dr. Hardy and his staff are always professional and friendly I don't feel comfortable going to the dentist but this dentist office will make you feel right at home and their work is outstanding if want exceptional work and a friendly staff please try this office.
