With over 25 years of experience, Lisa Block, DMD, MS, is a board-certified pediatric dentist at Harbor Kids Teeth in Gig Harbor, Washington. Before Dr. Block settled here in Gig Harbor, she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She then completed her general practice dental residency at the University Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, and her pediatric dental residency at the Childrens Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1991.
Dr. Block specializes and is dedicated to the oral health of children as an expert in pediatric dentistry. She has been specifically trained to treat childrens developing teeth and to understand the unique dental problems that children face, such as cavities and gum problems. She understands the complexities of how teeth grow and develop and can keep an eye out for any potential problems that may arise. Dr. Block knows that some children may feel frightened when visiting the dentist and knows just how to make them feel at ease and comfortable, building a strong and happy relationship between herself and the child, as well as their families.
Dr. Block is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, and the International College of Dentists. She is also a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and was the recipient of the 2013 Early Learning Champion Award in Pierce County, Washington.

I sometimes have to pretend I am Dr. Block so that my littlest will let me brush their teeth..Haha! Thank you all again!

My cleftie has been coming to Dr Block since he was a toddler and I would recommend her to everyone. She always takes the time to calm his fears in age appropriate ways and explains things so he understands. She will go above and beyond to get them through it. Today was a pretty painful procedure but Dr Block and Cece got him through it tear free!

My daughter has always loved the dentist because she started off coming here! She gets super excited everytime she has her cleaning, and they never disappoint. Cece took extra care of her needs and even let her take pictures with their giraffe. I'll be bringing all my kids here.

As a parent of 4 children, I found the experience of their cleaning pretty awesome. I was allowed to be with each my children and interact with the dentist and the techs... I talked their ears off asking question after question. And they took my bombardment of words with unusual grace and seriousness. Highly recommend the the friendly and careful team of professionals at Lisa Block. And a special thanks to Nancy for being awesome!

My daughter has always loved her dentist! she can be shy sometimes and she just adores everyone there. you can tell they work there because they love kids. We just had our latest check up and CeCe and Autumn were just awesome. They really go above and beyond. We will always go there and refer others

Both Sarah and Dr. Block always go out of their way to make our children feel welcome. We have a son on the spectrum that sometimes struggles in these environments and they never rush him or made us feel like a inconvenient. They always embrace every situation and roll with it with grace.

Friendly, accommodating front desk service. This is kind of specific, but as a homeschooling family, we have rarely had so much enthusiastic support! I usually brace for some funny looks when asked why my kids are out of school, but Dr. Block turned it into a fascinating anatomy lesson, and the office staff was wonderful as well. I appreciate the inclusitivity. <3
