Dr. Nancy Wards forte is aesthetic reconstruction with an emphasis on comprehensive dentistry. She graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1981. She was half time faculty in the department of Restorative Dentistry after graduation and in private practice. She practiced full time starting in 1985 with her husband Dr. Denison Byrne.
Dr. Ward is past president of the Baltimore and Maryland Academy of general dentistry. She served as national membership chairman of the Academy of general dentistry. She completed the programs at the L. D. Pankey Institute and has served as visiting faculty since 1992. She is currently lead faculty for the advanced restorative dentistry course. After serving as part of the foundation advisers for the Pankey Foundation she served on the board of Directors for 10 years becoming the first woman chairman.
Working with the underserved has long been a passion of Dr. Ward. She was director of the Helping Up Mission program at the University of Maryland for 7 years. They provided funds for the men to be able to restore their smile to aid in employment. She and her husband have gone on may mission trips to Romania and El Salvador. They had the opportunity to educate dentists in Romania while providing dental care.
With more than 12 years of experience under her belt, we were excited to welcome Krystal to our team in 2022! She attended college in 2003 and is currently a radiology technician as well. When asked, she shared that the best things about her job are having the opportunity to grow and mature in the dental field. A Baltimore native, she is married with three beautiful children. When she isnt at the office, her two favorite things to do are shooting pool and traveling.
Mona was born and raised right here in Baltimore! In addition to attending CCBC, she earned her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification and has more than six years of experience in the dental field. When asked, she shared that improving each patients overall health and confidence is one of her favorite aspects of her job. Away from the office, she loves spending time with her grandmother and her daughter. She is also a part-time hairstylist and enjoys traveling! Heres something you may not know about her: she loves coffee.

Dr. Truesdale is the BEST dentist I have ever been to. Kind and incredibly knowledgeable. Squeezed me in for repeated emergency appts. Saved me from terrible pain. Staff is welcoming and patient. I am so grateful for all of them. Prices were great too.

Best dentist around. I went the first time and Dr. Ward told me to get my wisdom teeth out and motivated me to floss every day. My first cleaning back she had no notes, and neither do I!

Dr. Ward is an amazing dentist! I go to her for all my dental health needs. When it comes to cosmetic dental work, she's a total perfectionist, which I really appreciate. She was able to correct a difficult issue that I wasn't even sure would be correctible at first. I'm glad I found her! And her staff is always on the ball, too. Much gratitude to her and her staff for always taking such good care of me.

I had a great visit just before the holidays. It all felt very safe for a routine cleaning. Temperature checks and other precautions were taken. Left feeling fortunate to have the opportunity to visit the dentist. Much appreciate Dr. Ward and her staff.

I've been going to Harbor East Dental for 9 years- I've seen a lot of people come and go and changes happen, but I have consistently had great dental care no matter what! This is my second time going during the pandemic and the safety procedures that Dr. Ward and Robin have in place made me feel very safe! So don't skip your appointments and if you need a dentist- don't hesitate to call them!

The staff and dentists at Harbor East Dental are the absolute best at providing dental care. From the moment I walked in, everyone went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and welcome. The care and attention have surpassed my expectations and I cannot recommend their services enough. Any reservations you have about going to the dentist will be gone after your first visit, if not sooner. Quite simply, they're the best!
