Our goal is to make sure all our patients are comfortable with the treatment we are performing and they understand what will happen during a planned dental procedure. If you have had a negative experience in the past or get anxious visiting the dentist, know that we are dedicated to helping you relax. Each of our staff members is trained to deal with dental anxiety, and we will do what we can to help make your experience as pleasant as possible.

We love getting to know our patients and their families, and we treat all age groups, including children as young as four. We always welcome new patients and accept most dental insurance plans. Please contact us if you have any questions about your specific plan.

Dr. Ciaran Murphy graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2005 and headed to Fort Collins with his family to start his practice. He knew his childhood dentist well, and he was the one who inspired Dr. Murphy to go into dentistry. Just to make sure it was really the direction for him, Dr. Murphy worked as a dental assistant while he was in college. It turned out he loved the work and decided to open his own practice after graduation.

The mountains drew Dr. Murphy to Colorado, but it was his love of sailing that inspired the name Harbor Dental. He lived near the ocean in Ireland as a child and grew up sailing. Now he feels fortunate to be in Colorado where he can take advantage of the mountains for skiing and hiking and the nearby lakes for sailing.

Dr. Cranfill graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2020 with multiple awards in osseointegration and implant dentistry. He was drawn to dentistrys intersection of art, science and precision. Dr. Cranfill is most passionate about meeting his patients and hearing their perspectives when providing care.

Everybody wants to perfect their smile, but not many people look forward to compromising their appearance while undergoing treatment. Conventional braces are an age-old orthodontic treatment, but the wired appearance of this appliance stops many people from opting for it. The use of these braces to fix your crowded, crooked, or misaligned teeth has become a passe, and many advanced options have been introduced to fulfill the purpose. Invisalign is one of them.

Invisalign makes it easy for you to get the smile of your dreams without letting anybody know that you are undergoing the treatment. Invisalign is a set of clear aligners that solve the above-listed concerns. It works by applying controlled pressure to your teeth, thus shifting them to their desired positions. The treatment offers promising results.

We will attach these aligners to your mouth and check their fitting. At the same time, we will offer a new tray of aligners. You are expected to wear one pair of aligners every two weeks and then replace them with the new ones. Visit us regularly to check the progress of the treatment. Once you complete wearing the last set of trays, you are done with the treatment. Depending upon the severity of your condition, the treatment continues for 12-18 months.

Caring for aligners is simple. It is essential to remove them while eating, drinking, or brushing your teeth. Wear aligners 20-22 hours a day, and ensure you do not drop them as this may damage them. It is recommended to rinse your aligners with clean water before putting them back into your mouth.

I lived in 7 cities in the last 10 years. This is the best dental practice I've ever been a client of. The people at the front desk are my favorite! Thank you for the great smile!!!

Very friendly staff, but unfortunately, I had a negative experience with how they handled the billing of my dental work, as they went ahead with treatment without checking that my insurance had a waiting period. Once the claim was declined, they tried to pass of the remaining bill to me, which as a grad student was a shocking bill to have sprung on me. They made it seem like it was some fluke thing with the insurance company, not at all addressing at all that they simply messed up. Thankfully, my insurance was able to waive the waiting period, but it took time and effort that could have easily been avoided. Now, I understand that mistakes happen, and that is not what upset me, but I am not happy with how they communicated in handling the aftermath, with dodging responsibility for their mistake and adding unnecessary stress for me. I have nothing against them personally, as everyone I interacted with there has been lovely, but the way they handled this situation lost my trust in them.

Invisalign is pretty much complete. My teeth have been tightened up and the front gap is mostly closed. Plus the grinding and polishing has brightened up my teeth. Looks so much better. Thanks

I moved to Fort Collins and shortly after developed pain in a previous root canal. I thought I'd give Harbor Dental a try because it was near my work and ohhhhh I shouldn't have come. The first appointment was fine. Just a consultation (pretty hard to screw up). Then the second appointment came where they told me in order to continue with them I had to get a specific scan. They failed to mention this scan wasn't covered by insurances and it was $300. When I got a bill for that amount and I was shocked and asked what the hell was going on. They beat around the bush and finally told me it was from the scan. I refused to pay as I had been told by multiple other dentists this scan was unnecessary. They sent Debt collectors after me, when they SCAMMED me. Any business that would treat a patient like this for money deserves to lose as much business as possible. Do NOT go here. Literally go anywhere else.

I went in to have some old fillings replaced. My back molar is basically flattened now. The top of it feels and looks extremely smoother than the other molars. The dentist called me after I canceled my next appointments and explained that the tooth was taken down some because of where my bite pressure was located. That pressure on the tooth could cause the filling to crack. The explanation makes sense but I still feel like more could have been done to preserve my natural tooth. Maybe It was "more efficient" to shave down some of the peaks of the tooth, but I feel like I should have been informed of how much of the tooth was being removed. I am not a dental expert so I can't say what the "best" thing to do was, but I have never had someone drill my tooth so flat. I would have preferred the minimal treatment over the "optimal" treatment.
