Dr. Leif Bakland graduated from Loma Linda University in 1980 where he earned the Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Immediately after graduating, he opened a dental practice in downtown Newburyport where hes been actively practicing for the last 32 years. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the MA Dental Society, the North Shore Dental District Society, and the International Association of Dental Traumatology. He has contributed in providing dental care for the Gloucester Dental Clinic, and is involved in the start up of the new BNI Chapter of Gloucester.
Dr. Bakland has lived in Gloucester for the past 15 years, married his wife Stephanie 6 years ago, both love to call Gloucester their home. He is an avid golfer and also loves blue water sailing. He has held a 100 ton Master Mariners License for the past 10 years. Dr. Bakland is excited to have the opportunity of opening a dental practice in downtown Gloucester. He loves being a part of and contributing to this beautiful seaside community.
Dr. Nicholas Vaillancourt is a general dentist who possesses a high sense of attention to detail and a passion for providing quality comprehensive care. From a young age he was drawn to the dental profession due to its unique blend of qualities including helping others, science, and art.
Dr. V earned a bachelor of science double major degree in biology and anthropology from the University of Connecticut, and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and the North Shore District Dental Society and is Invisalign certified.
Since graduating from dental school, Dr. V has treated patients of all ages in the Greater Boston area and is delighted to start serving the people of Gloucester. Dr. V and his wife, Alexis, live in Revere. He enjoys traveling and drawing in his spare time.
Angela Donovan is a Certified Dental Practice Management Administrator through the Dental Assisting National Board. She has over 20 years of dental practice administrative experience. She is the President of the New England Dental Office Managers Study Group, and serves as a committee member for Delta Dental of Massachusetts Office Managers Advisory Council (OMAC) and DenteMax OMAC. She is also an active member of the Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries.
Amy is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated from the University of New England in 2010 with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Dental Hygiene. She prides herself on getting to know her patients and understanding how to meet their individual needs for the best quality care possible. Amy is very passionate about dentistry and oral health.
Liz is a dental hygienist with over 30 years experience in the dental field. She is a graduate of the Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists. In her spare time, Liz enjoys exploring local history, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
Stephanie started her career in dentistry over 20 years ago. She has developed many specialized dental skills from her extensive training at the Pankey Institute, MA Dental Society and the Schuster Center for Professional Development. She is devoted to patient care and always goes above and beyond to make patients feel comfortable during their visit to our office.
Neva has an Associates of Science in Dental Degree from the University of Maine at Augusta. She is a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) in the state of Massachusetts and Maine. She stays current with continuing dental education classes and is dedicated to helping patients maintain their dental health.
Kerri Wilson has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology which assisted her as the director of a boys group home for adolescent troubled teens. She counseled teens and provided a safe environment for kids to heal and cope with issues such as substance abuse, physical abuse and other family issues causing hardships in their lives. After many years working in that field, she decided to change careers and pursue her passion for dentistry. Kerri loves to interact with our patients and make them feel welcome. We love having her as part of our team.
Kerri lives in Hamilton, MA with her husband and two daughters. In her spare time, she volunteers in the community. She also enjoys photography and has been hired to take pictures at weddings and birthday parties.
