Dr. Mamata Ponnaganti has been practicing in Florida ever since her graduation in 1999. Over the course of the two decades that have made up her career, she has remained committed to excellence and providing high quality dental services to all of her patients. She uses the latest dentistry techniques to treat a wide variety of complex dental issues, and she will always take the time to keep you fully informed about your dental health.
Of all the dental problems you could experience, losing a tooth even if its just one can be one of the most devastating by far. A healthy smile requires a full set of teeth to function properly; any gaps that arise need to be dealt with as soon as possible. Fortunately, with our knowledgeable team and our wide variety of services, we are well-versed in helping patients restore their smiles no matter what kind of damage they might have suffered.

Dr. Ponnaganti grew up in a family filled to the brim with multi-specialty doctors, which led to her developing a strong passion for the healthcare industry. She eventually decided to pursue dentistry as a lifelong career because she liked the hands-on nature of the work and the sense of gratification that came from improving teeth. She also liked the work hours because it would allow her to devote plenty of time to family and raising her children. 20 years later, she still feels very confident that she made the right choice!
Dr. Ponnaganti is happily married to a loving husband who works as a chemical engineer and is very supportive of her career. She has a grown son who is in his final year of medical school and a daughter who also wants to be a doctor one day! The last member of their family is an extremely friendly and playful German Shephard.
As for personal hobbies, Dr. Ponnaganti enjoys cooking and gardening. She also has a big passion for participating in community service like soup kitchens and highway/beach cleanups. She does her best to participate in 4 to 5 dental camps a year for underserved/homeless populations and also a yearly eye/podiatry camp to assist her neighbors. So far, shes kept this up for 15 years and counting!
Yadira studied dental hygiene at Virginia Community College, and shes been working tirelessly in this field for over five years now. She loves being able to help patients not only achieve better oral health, but also maintain it through education she provides! Away from work, she spends plenty of time with her significant other and three children two boys and a girl. Her favorite hobbies include dancing, listening to music, traveling, going to the beach, trying different types of food, and baking.

When dealing with this dentist, always get a second opinion, they told me that my insurance would not cover the cost of a cleaning without X-rays. I called my insurance and they said this was not true. When confronted, they talked in circles. They told my husband that he needed a couple of root canals. We got a second option and that was not true. Beware when using them. These incidents were at both offices Response from owner: Thank you for taking time and leaving us a detailed review. Since we value HIPAA act and are ethics bound- we do not want to discuss more in a public setting. We are sorry that you couldn't understand the importance of radiographs and routine dental exams despite our multiple efforts to help you understand! First appointment at Happy Smiles. Check up and cleaning went well. The facility is very clean and the equipment is modern. The staff was friendly and thorough. They answered all my questions and told me I needed five visits to complete a treatment plan. This would be astronomically expensive. I said I would think about it and get back to them in a few days as I was leaving town. I started getting calls and texts almost immediately and certainly in the next 24 hours. I returned a call from Anna and she kept telling me she could take my credit card information right now. She said this about three times durring the course of our short conversation. In the next 4 days I got even more follow up messages and requests to leave a review. Initially I responded directly to them told them I did not care for their high pricing and their hard sell approach. I checked with other dental practices in the area and found Happy Smiles prices to be very high. I will be finding another dental practice that is more reasonable and less aggressive.

What a refreshing dental visit. I left the last practice about 2 years ago due to a shaddy Dr. and bullish staff. I was treated with the upmost respect from the front desk to the back of the office. I think I found the right office. If your interested in going to a dental office that is respectful, kind, gentle and honest this is the office for you.

My whole family has been going to Dr. Ponnaganti for several years now. The entire staff is friendly and professional. The focus is all about the care and well-being of the patient, and not filling quotas and getting people in and out as quickly as possible. I could not be happier with the service I receive.

Excellent service provider, must set an appointment!! Very nice dentistry. The staff are awesome. They have an office in Tampa as well. I had three cavities and the procedure was very smooth. The hygienist here are very good at their craft.

If you're uneasy about going to the dentist like me, then this is the place for you. Dr. Ponnaganti and her staff take time to explain everything every step of the way and after your treatment her staff take the time to teach you how to take care of your teeth. I'm so glad I found this place.
