Dr. Gary Toppi has been providing children with exceptional pediatric dental care for over 20 years. Highly educated and well trained, Dr. Toppi graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, in Boston, completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Sepulveda Veterans Hospital in Sepulveda, California, and then went on to complete his Pediatric Dentistry Residency at Indiana University. To stay up-to-date with the latest advancements, materials and techniques in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Toppi actively attends continuing education courses and lectures. Dr. Toppi enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his 11-year-old daughter. His hobbies include horseback riding, camping, hiking and water activities in and around San Diego. In his spare time, he is a foster parent to kittens from the County of San Diego Animal Shelter and volunteers at his daughters school. He participates in childrens dental screenings and school educational days for oral health.

Dr. Gary got the magic touch and positive energy which made our little one very comfortable and enjoy her visits. Always ready on time, quick and efficient. We had a Nightmare experience at Brsh+Flss on Navajo road and then we found Dr. Gary... if you love your kids you should bring them to Dr. Gary at Happy Smiles.

I never publically review negative thoughts on a business but this place demands it. The receptionist is extremely rude and passive aggressive. On our first visit she behaved this way for no reason. Subsequently when we tried to visit the office to get school paperwork filled out she repeatedly gave us a hard time about coming in person despite communicating wet signature need and seemed determined not to help. She provided working hours and then upon visiting and calling she changed them. The dentist seems fine but the front of house is horrible and left us feeling unwelcomed.

Clean and organized facility with the TV and iPad entertainment/distractions that make the kids look forward to the dentist. Thorough exam and cleaning, knowledgeable dentist. Very happy and my kids even made me stay to play games.

Comfortable waiting room...they have a playhouse and lots of toys that kept my 1 year old son busy while we waiting. The exam was really quick and painless. It was a good experience and will be bringing him there again soon for his 2 year check up.
