Dr. Happiness Nwobu graduated from New York Universitys (NYU) College of Dentistry then completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Bronx Lebanon Center inNew York. Upon completion of training, she worked for 12 years as an associate for a large, multi-specialty private practice, where she has treated thousands of diverse patients and then went on to be an associate at other private offices.
Her passion for providing comprehensive care to her patients is only matched by her commitment to lifelong dental education. She has maintained this commitment by completing the rigorous, 2-year, post-doctoral Full Mouth Reconstruction program at New York University, a prestigious fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and thousands of Continuing Dental Education hours.
Dr. Happiness has taken her passions for connecting with her patients on a personal level, mastering modern dental practices and providing comprehensive dental care to establish Happy Smile Dental & Associates LLC in South Orange, NJ-an inviting, state-of-the-art multi-specialty practice that embodies her values of family, comfort, health and a lifestyle befitting of her first name.
When not treating patients, Dr. Happiness loves spending time and travelingwith her husband and three daughters, and enjoys cooking and participating as an active member and leader in her church community. She is fully committed to providing for less-privileged children and teens locally and abroad.

Dr.Happiness provides terrible customer service and professionalism. If you're considering this practice, be sure to to request a copy of all documents! I requested a copy of their policies and was refused, and was told to settle for a copy of a statement (no they are not the same thing). There have also been MULTIPLE occurrences where I was told to come in for an appointment, told to wait for hours, and received no service. I also had to pay for two pairs of retainers here. I ordered a pair through them and was not alerted that they were in office until I called, so by the time I received them my impressions were no longer accurate. I bet you will get alerts about mIsSed clEanIngs though. Save your money and support a different black/local business. There are many to choose from in the same vicinity.

They were nice at first, but then they completed service that only they knew was not covered, even though the location was in my network. At the end of my visit, I had to make a payment of $206 dollars, which I expected to get back but Dr. Happy did not submit the supporting information that Aetna needed to evaluate the charges. I called repeatedly but no documents submitted. I was never told the charges would not be covered by Aetna, even though I now suspect that their action was just a Scam use to Steal Money from their new Clients. I plan to file charges with the Small Claim Court and the Better Business Bureau.

I needed a dentist who was not just personable but also helped me feel at ease. While looking online for dentists in my network, I came across Dr. Happy. Dr. Happy was quite knowledgeable. Since I dislike going to the dentist, she described every step to me, which ordinarily would make me anxious. However, she made me feel at ease, and the process went very smoothly. I must say that I couldn't be happier with my choice! I'm glad to have discovered a dentist who I can go to with complete confidence and will without a doubt recommend to the rest of my family.

I suffered a devastating tooth injury in 2015, and I ended up having to wait 7 years for permanent crowns. With Dr. Happiness, the process was easy and convenient, and I am extremely satisfied with the results!
