Dr. Neelab Anwar is a Board Certified Orthodontist (an honor achieved by less than 30% of all Orthodontists) who attended the prestigious Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester in New York for Orthodontic residency.
Prior to attending residency, Dr. Nee obtained her degree in biological sciences and physiology, graduating with high honors from California State University San Marcos. Dr. Nee received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. After living in New York for a few years, Dr. Nee always aspired to go back to her hometown in beautiful San Diego, California where her whole family resides.
At the age of fourteen, she was very self conscious about her smile and the way her teeth looked. After completing orthodontic treatment and with her new smile, her confidence increased, and it truly changed her life! At this point, Dr. Nee knew she wanted to be an inspiration and boost the confidence of so many people everyday while creating beautiful smiles.
In her daily life, Dr. Nee is known to be truly an empathic, compassionate, driven and a loving health practitioner which is hard to find today. She is also fluent in English, Spanish and Farsi. In her free time, she loves playing tennis and the piano. She also enjoys exercising, golf, running and playing tennis with her husband who is also an Orthodontist. They both met in their Orthodontic residency and look forward to welcoming you and your family to their Orthodontic practice!
Dr. Nee is also committed to giving back to the community. She participates in local homeless shelters and low-income dental clinics, where she spent a majority of her time there in college. She strives to make a difference in her community each day. She also enjoys lecturing to pre-dental students and motivates them to pursue their future dreams in Dentistry and Orthodontics.

Truly one of the best orthodontist in town! If you're looking to take that step into getting your smile back, look no further because you've found the right place! Dr. Cyrus is amazing and a professional! He explained every step of the treatment and every question/concern I had he listened and answered my questions. I've started my Spark treatment and I've seen such a difference in my teeth! I smile more now! Thanks to Dr. Cyrus and his team, I'm gaining my confidence and smile back! I've had braces treatment elsewhere when I was younger and the retainers broke. Ive been wanting comfortable durable retainers to last long term. Happier Smiles Orthodontics helped me achieve exactly what I wanted and I finally have such clear, comfortable retainers that are so easy to use! Not to mention, they don't use those old goopy molds like most places, they use a cool 3d scanner instead!! SO quick and easy!!

We are super super EXCITED and HAPPY to have started orthodontic treatment for my son with Dr.Neelab @HSO.. She is the sweetest and the most caring Dr . She is very knowledgeable, we defiantly feel so comfortable already with her , like if we are family now... We LOVE her already so much. The team is amazing !! I found Dr. Nee through my Alma Mater LinkedIn Page (CSUSM) and instantly called her office. The office was very accommodating and I was able to get appointment the same week to see Dr. Nee. I told her my goals and what I want to achieve in my oral health. She suggested Spark Aligners would work better and so far I am loving my progress. Dr. Nee and Dr. Cyrus are very knowledgeable in their field and they have been very helpful so far. They are such a cute couple too. I like that Dr. Nee always follows up with me every time I see her to make sure everything is good. Both of them take good care of their patients well. I am glad I was able to find them. They are also persistent with scheduling patients for monthly checkups and they also go above and beyond with their services. I normally don't write reviews ever, but after my experience with Dr.Nee and Dr.Cyrus, I just had to! I decided to get the Spark aligners with their office and I have seriously had the best experience I've ever had at a dental/ortho office. It was evident from start to finish that Dr.Nee and Dr.Cyrus are knowledgeable and passionate about changing peoples smiles. These doctors genuinely care about their patients. Dr.Nee is so incredibly humble and sweet to the point that she honored my request to have her do my teeth cleaning, even though she is the orthodontist and that is normally the dental hygienists role. That was the best cleaning I have ever had, she took a whole hour to make sure my teeth were spotless!!! When I decided to get the Spark aligners, I really appreciated how the entire process was explained to me along the way, so I knew exactly what we were doing and why they were doing it. I really appreciate how Dr.Nee and Dr.Cyrus always take their time. They are always willing to stop and let you take a break if needed. The spark aligners process was painless and super quick. By my second visit my aligners were ready to be picked up! I'm about 3 weeks in now and I can tell my teeth are straightening already! Dr.Nee is so sweet, she is always checking in on me to make sure I am keeping up with the aligner hygiene requirements and remembering to wear the aligners at least 20 hours a day. If you are considering the spark aligners, think no more! You won't regret it. The aligners are so comfortable and so clear, none of my friends have even noticed I'm wearing them. Dr.Nee, Dr.Cyrus and their entire staff are true professionals. Dr.Nee and Dr.Cyrus will be my future children's orthodontists. Thank you Dr.Nee and Dr.Cyrus!

My fiance is currently doing invisible aligners with Dr. Nee. He was hesitant about the amount of effort and time it would take and is now finding that the process is so easy with Dr. Nee! I had the best experience at Happier Smiles!!! Dr. Neelab and her team are truly outstanding! My 9 year old daughter was very anxious at the beginning but Dr. Neelab was amazing!! She took alot of her time to explain everything explicitly and answered all our questions and concerns!! I'm so grateful that i found her, after searching so long for a good orthodontist!! Dr. Anwar, D.D.S. is amazing! I'm 60, years old, finally getting my teeth straightened. Now, it's more to save my teeth than cosmetic. She's very understanding, friendly and very good at getting things perfect. Good things do happen to those who wait, and it's happening to me. I wouldn't have this done with anyone else

It has taken me over 20 years to want to step into a dental office, but the staff and environment are very welcoming. I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Nee and her team at Happier Smiles Orthodontics. I am someone who is incredibly nervous about any type of dental related procedure, however, my desire for an improved smile encouraged me seek out an orthodontist that offered the spark aligners. Tanya at the front desk was very friendly and helped me switch appointment times at the last minute to accommodate my schedule. The dental hygienist and Dr. Nee are both very gentle and walk you through the entire process of what they are doing prior to the procedure. This was huge for me because I realized that my dental anxiety stemmed from the lack of communication and not knowing what was happening at previous dental offices. The office is very calm creating a relaxing ambiance and the chairs even have a massage feature. I am now on my 18 week course of spark aligners and I am so happy I made the decision to book a consultation. Dr. Nee was so sweet she even personally reached out to me on Day 2 to see how I was feeling with my new aligners. So far this experience has been very empowering and even exciting!

Oral health is important. I have been putting it on hold, especially because i was scared since a child. I did my research and here i am at Cabrillo Dental. I like how they treat you and always make sure you are doing good during the procedures. Im glad i chose them. Im in the process of getting a crown, and everything has been great. They have suggested to get aligners Happier Smile Orthodontists by Dr.Nee to straighten them before i get the surgery. I can see and feel the difference. Dr. Nee is so sweet. I feel more confident and now smile more showing my teeth. Getting it done right the first time is what got me started on my dental health. Im very thankful, and to the Cabrillo Staff. Professional, friendly and clean.

I was very nervous about my first visit to put in braces and all worked out great! Fabulous office and fantastic experience!!! If you are looking to put in braces go to this office. They really care about their patients. The office is very modern. The X Ray machine is just fantastic and convenient. I am very excited about the braces and I am very happy that they took care of my braces.

Neelab and Cyrus are the absolute BEST! I had an appointment with them today and from the beginning they were both so wonderfully friendly and welcoming that I immediately felt at ease. Beyond that, however, they were immensely knowledgeable and incredibly receptive to my needs and concerns. They answered all my questions, spent the time to weigh all my options with me, gave me personalized advice, and as a bonus it was clearly a supportive and no-judgement space. They were genuinely concerned with giving me the best care, which I really appreciated. I'm the type that is usually apprehensive to get dental work done, in that I've been told for nearly a decade that I need to see an orthodontist and I've been putting it off out of pure dread; but Neelab and Cyrus made the process so seamless, easily understandable, and painless that I elected to start the clear aligner shaping process right then and there. This is a practice that embodies the utmost professionalism and care and I feel so delighted to have found them to guide me through this long and trying journey towards achieving a better smile.
