Education and Continuing Education I completed my undergraduate education at Brigham Young University before continuing on to Northwestern University Dental School, where I graduated with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1988. Since then, I have continued to update my education, taking courses on the latest techniques, advances, and materials used in dentistry. My classes range from cosmetic restorations, endodontics, dentures, and implants to all-ceramic veneers and crowns, as well as the latest in digital radiograph techniques, equipment, and diagnosis. This commitment to staying on the cutting edge of dentistry directly benefits my patients, the level of care I am able to provide, and the results we achieve together.
Outside the Office I was born and raised in Reno, leaving to attend college and dental school, and was happy to return to this wonderful area to raise my family. My wife, Kerri, and I have five children. Much of my free time is devoted to family time outdoors. We all enjoy biking, hiking, and water and snow sports. The Reno/Tahoe area offers one of the best recreational outdoor varieties in the world and we enjoy most all of them as a family.
My community is very important to me, and I am committed to giving back. I have worked with the Boy Scouts of America my entire life. I still actively work with youth through the Boy Scouts and through many related church callings and activities. Prior to opening my private practice, I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South America.
Carla Office Manager I started working for Dr. Hansen in 1990 and have far too many responsibilities to list. Basically, I make sure that our office runs as smoothly as possible and all our patients leave with healthy and happy smiles. Being able to assist patients get the most out of their insurance benefits and getting claims paid for them also gives me a great sense of satisfaction. Dr. Hansen is a caring, compassionate man and is one of my best friends. He takes care of his staff and it shows in how happy our office is. He is an outstanding dentist who takes pride in his work and it shows in our patients smiles.
I have been married since 1990. I have two beagles whom I love as if they were my children. I definitely have a purse-fetish problem! I look forward to weekends when I can spend time with my dogs, husband, and my friends who I consider my family.
Pam Registered Dental Hygienist My career in dentistry began in 1987 and I was happy to join Dr. Hansens team in 1991. I am responsible for all aspects of maintaining our patients health and educating them on effective home care. I love our patients and enjoy seeing them walk out of the office with a clean, bright smile. Dr. Hansen is a skilled dentist who is very gentle and kind. He enjoys his work and provides a wonderful work atmosphere for our team.
I have been married for 23 years to Ron. We have two children: our daughter, CJ, and our son, Pierce. We love spending time with our family and great friends, whether we are skiing, boating, or just having fun.
Frank Registered Dental Hygienist My job as a hygienist focuses on the prevention and treatment of a variety of dental issues through regular cleanings and patient education. It is my goal to optimize my patients oral health while making them feel comfortable and welcome in our office. Dr. Hansen is a kind and friendly person who encourages us to practice to our full potential in delivering quality care to our patients.
I graduated from the University of Nebraska with a bachelors degree in dental hygiene, and from the University of Nevada in Reno with a bachelors degree in biology. I have been married since 1990 to a wonderful wife and we have three awesome children. In our free time we enjoy the outdoors and camping.
