Dr. Reem S. Shafi, CEO, Two Rivers Dental is the epitome of modern dentistry. She received her dental degree in 1998 and is a proud alumna of the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. After her graduation, she relocated to Chicago, IL and opened her first dental practice by 2004. During that year of running her own practice, Dr. Shafi realized she had much more potential and decided to open a second practice. Now, a decade later, Dr. Shafi owns several practices, all of which are located in and around the Chicago area. Her company now employs over 140 employees and 30 dentists.
During the course of her professional career, Dr. Shafi has won numerous awards including her induction into Temple University Fox School of business League for Entrepreneurial Women Hall of Fame for the year 2013.
Dr. Peterson specializes in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and treats a wide variety of patients of all ages. He has been placing dental implants since 1987, has extensive experience in implantology, and has successfully treated many dental implant patients throughout Chicagoland.
Dr. Peterson graduated with a degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Northwestern University Dental School. He furthered his training and education through a program focused in Anesthesiology, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Cook County Hospital College of Surgery.
Dr. Peterson enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. His hobbies include traveling, tennis, skiing and the outdoors. Dr. Peterson also practices law and teaches at a university.
Dr. Virji is originally from Toronto, Canada, where she found a passion for orthodontics since the age of 13. After receiving her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Dr. Virji went on to earn her DMD degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove, IL in 2017. Dr. Virji then began practicing general dentistry for 1 year in Toronto before returning to Chicago and pursuing orthodontics at UIC Orthodontic Program. Dr. Virjis dedication for her profession led to her winning 3rd Place Nationwide for the 2021 Dr. William R. Proffit Resident Scholar Award while at UIC. While Dr. Virji practices orthodontics full time, she also works as part time faculty at the University of Illinois Chicago Orthodontic Department.
Dr. Virji is passionate about all areas of orthodontics, but shes especially interested in the advanced technologies that orthodontics is moving toward. Focusing on advanced technologies allows Dr. Virji to provide her patients with the best experience and results.
