Dr. Hank Barreto is a third-generation dentist who has been practicing since 1988. A graduate of Rutgers University, he attended the Fairleigh Dickinson School of Dentistry. He later gathered experience under the mentorship of some of the most widely-respected dental and medical educators in the world.
Patients from all walks of life have come to Dr. Barreto to take advantage of his expertise in holistic dentistry. They left pleased with the results and also amazed at the comprehensive nature of his medical care.
Holistic dentistry or biological dentistry aims to improve oral health without deploying potentially harmful substances and surgeries to get the desired results. Traditional dentistry has a limited domain, and generally concerns only your teeth and gums. Holistic dentistry takes account of overall health and vitality, going beyond the visible issues with teeth and gums. It's built on the premise that all health issues are connected including emotional health.
When setting up his practice, Dr. Barreto quickly learned that there is a real need for Holistic dentistry in Miami. He is one of the foremost experts in holistic dental treatments and a leading Coral Gables dentist, so you can count on him to help you overcome your dental health problems.
After obtaining her DDS from the University of Nice, France in 1984, she completed her specialty training in Prosthodontics at the University Pittsburgh, PA in 1989 where she also obtained a Certificate in Oral Implantology and a Master of Science in 1990. She then went on to obtain her DMD from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1996.
She is a Diplomate of the American Board Oral Implantology, a Diplomate of the International College of Oral Implantologists, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and of the International College of Dentists.
She has been affiliated with Temple University in Philadelphia since 2005, where she is presently Clinical Professor of Oral Implantology in the Department of Periodontology. She served as Assistant Director of the Misch Implant Institute for over 15 years.
She has also held editorial positions for the last 20 years and is presently Assistant Editor of the Journal of Implant Dentistry. She has co-authored several chapters in the leading text books for Oral Implantology and has published numerous articles relating to implants.
For the last twenty years, she has maintained an implant restricted practice. After spending over fifteen years in Michigan, she recently relocated to Florida and found a wonderful place to practice with Dr. Hank Barreto in Coral Gables. She still maintains a part time practice in Italy, and very much enjoys traveling, horseback riding, foreign languages and cultures. She shares these interests with her daughter Angela who is presently a Middle School student.

Recommendation from the HEART! I can't thank Dr. Barreto and his staff enough for the beautiful work they are doing. I finally got my smile back and the solution he came up with is as elegant as it can be. I'm so glad I kept searching and didn't agree to other treatments that were offered to me.. may more invasive and expensive. And did I say how much my kids love him? Dr.B is just the most beautiful human being, who was able to build his brilliant team. So lucky to be his patient

For 13 years now I have been with Dr.Barreto and I absolutely love him and his work! He's very professional, organized and punctual. His staff are amazing and very respectful and his office is extremely sanitary and organized. I highly recommend him if you're looking for a very knowledgeable & qualified dentist.

If you're looking for the best dentist in Miami - look no further. I found Dr. Barreto in 2008 and he healed my mouth. After many major life events, including moving to another state and the loss of my father in 2016 I did not see Dr. Barreto for a decade. I had a major dental emergency and I knew who I needed to call. I was extremely nervous and panicking, but as soon as I saw Dr. Barreto he greeted me with a warm smile and listened to ALL of my concerns. He did a PERFECT job and now I'm at ease returning to the dentist. I cannot recommend Dr. Barreto enough.
