Dr. Hanigan attended Texas A&M on a swimming scholarship but after 3 semesters he decided to hang up his goggles and transferred to the University of Texas at Austin. He graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Bio-chemistry and from there went on to attend the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School, the #1 dental school in the country at that time. After graduating with honors from dental school he accepted a commission in the Air Force and completed a one-year General Dentistry Residency. He serviced an additional 4 years as an Air Force dentist before separating from the Air Force to attend UTHSC Houston Orthodontic Residency. There he completed his specialty certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics as well as a Masters of Science.

Dr. Hanigan is a decorated veteran of the USAF, a Texas Merit Scholarship recipient, a National Institute of Health research fellow, an honor graduate from UT San Antonio dental school, and Board Certified in Orthodontics. He has won numerous awards for clinical excellence in orthodontics from the prestigious Texas Orthodontic Study Club, and has been an Associate Professor in Orthodontics at UTHSC Houston Dental School for the past 10 years. Dr. Hanigan has completed two full Ironman races and numerous halves.

Outside of the office Dr. Hanigan enjoys cycling and staying active. He enjoys woodworking and tinkering in his garage, but most of all he enjoys spending time with his three daughters Jordan, Hailey and Megan and his wife of 32 years Michelle.

Dr. Johnson was born and raised in the countryside of Idaho Falls, Idaho. He comes from a large family of 8 kids! He learned the value of hard work by working on the family farm and working construction in the summers with his grandpa. Dr. Johnson competed in many sports in his younger years, but soccer became his favorite as he was selected as an All-State soccer player in high school. Dr. Johnson was also highly involved in Boy Scouts of America and went on to achieve his Eagle Scout Award. Upon graduating high school, Dr. Johnson chose to serve a two-year mission for his church in Chile, Concepcion. He says that his experience as a full-time missionary was life changing and attributes much of his success to the life lessons he learned as a missionary.

With a full-tuition Academic Scholarship, Dr. Johnson went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University, where he was awarded with Deans list honors. Dr. Johnson then went on to graduate from the prestigious UCLA School of Dentistry. While attending UCLA, Dr. Johnson was awarded with the Kramer Award, the highest award given to a student from each dental class based on academic achievement and community involvement. Dr. Johnson then went on to receive his Masters of Science in Dentistry (MSD) and certificate in orthodontics from the best orthodontics program in the country, The University of Texas-Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Johnson is now a faculty member at the residency program and enjoys teaching and mentoring the rising generation of orthodontists. Dr. Johnson also served as Captain in the Army National Guard for 8 years and is grateful for the time he had to serve our great country.

More than anything, Dr. Johnson is a family man. Outside the office you will usually find him spending time with his beautiful wife, Kylie, and chasing around his five children (Evalyn, Preslie, Wells, Collins and Remi). Dr. Johnson enjoys many hobbies such as running, cycling, soccer, golf, camping, hiking and the list goes on and on (more than his wife would care for)! He has a passion for exercise and the outdoors. He is an avid Ironman triathlete and competes regularly in endurance running and triathlon races.

Dr. Brubaker is a Texan, born and raised. She spent much of her childhood in Lake Jackson until she and her family moved to The Woodlands, where she finished high school cheering on the Highlanders at TWHS. She has a twin sister and younger brother, both of whom also live in the greater Houston Area.

Dr. Brubaker has excelled in her academic career, receiving multiple honors and awards. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Baylor University with a degree in Biology. She then went on to continue her education at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry, graduating at the top of her class. After completing dental school, she was accepted into the prestigious orthodontics residency program at Baylor. While she has greatly enjoyed her time in Dallas, she is thrilled to come back home to Houston!

In Dr. Brubakers own words, she expressed, I look forward to being an active member in my community and hope to share the knowledge that I have gained with patients and colleagues. Most importantly, though, I am excited to foster relationships with community members and to change patients lives by spreading joy with a smile!

When you meet Dr. Brubaker you will notice right away that she has a servants heart. She is genuine and thoughtful, and eager to always help others. She likes to stay active and enjoys yoga, running and being outdoors. Her ideal wind-down after a long day is to listen to a podcast while walking her dog, Sophie. She enjoys a good cup of coffee, the sound of rain, and all things relating to Taylor Swift. However, her faith, family and friendships will always be the most important parts of her life.

I joined Hanigan & Johnsons team in 2006. What I love the most about H & J is the family atmosphere they have created in the office. I love seeing the excitement of our patients starting treatment and ending treatment! Those smiles are what bring joy to our team.

My husband and I have a handsome son who means the world to us. I have learned to enjoy the outdoors with my sons various activities. We enjoy spending time with family and friends and our three wonderful dogs.

I have been with HJO for almost 20 years now. I began my career working as an orthodontic technician and now work as a treatment coordinator. My favorite part of my job is interacting with patients as we set up their treatment plan and help their lifelong dreams of having straight teeth come true. I love working with Drs. Hanigan and Johnson not only because they are great orthodontists, but they genuinely care about each patient that comes through our door.

I joined the Hanigan Johnson team in 2014. We are family here at HJO. I love building relationships with our patients and assisting them in their journey to achieve their desired smile! You to will become part of our family.

I am married to my best friend, Glen. We have two beautiful daughters, Brenna and Alli. Glen and I love to ride the Harley on the weekends. I like to read, be outdoors and spend time with our dog, Sasha, and cat, Sister.

I love my role as a scheduling coordinator for HJO. I get to interact with patients daily via the phone or in person. I get to not only provide amazing customer service but build relationships with our patients.

I recently joined HJO and I absolutely love this new adventure! My favorite part of the day is when patients call and visit the office excited about what we are going to do to enhance their smiles. Dr. Hanigan and Dr. Johnson are great orthodontists, and I am blessed to be a part of the team!

I became a part of the Hanigan Johnson family in August 2015 and now work as part of the financial team coordinating insurance. I love coming to work every day with such great people. Hi, my name is Alexis!I started with Hanigan & Johnson in late 2020. Although I am still new, I have made a new family here. My teammates and I look forward to assisting every patient that walks through the door. We love being able to interact with them daily. From young children to adults, we build relationships while giving our patients the smile they have always wanted!

I began working for Hanigan Johnson Orthodontics in 2010. I love getting to know new people and helping them reach their goal of a beautiful smile! Dr. Hanigan and Dr. Johnson always make it a fun environment.

I joined HJO mid 2015 initially as a records technician but have been fortunate to also work chairside as well as an assistant. So not only do I get to meet all the wonderful new patients, but I also get to assist in their treatment.

I joined Hanigan and Johnson Orthodontics in June 2014. Time flies when youre having fun! I thrive in a positive environment where I feel loved and appreciated, so I clearly love working for HJO. Hi my name is Paulina, I joined the HJO family on May 2021. Although Im fairly new to the practice I have 6+ years of experience as an Orthodontic assistant. Its been a pleasure working alongside such an amazing group of individuals who not only provide great care but make everyone feel like family. I am a mommy of 3 beautiful girls and I am married to my best friend. I come from strong family values and enjoy every minute spent with them. On my free time you can catch me shopping at hobby lobby or watching some Astros baseball.

A little about myself I grew up in Tomball, Tx, attended the Houston Dental Assistant school in the Woodlands. I have been practicing orthodontics for over 5 years, I enjoy being able to see the smile transformation on our patients and how peoples confidents are built with a beautiful smile. Being a part of the HJO family has been a true blessing, and I enjoy coming to work each day to make a difference. On my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, making candles and walking.

Hi and welcome! My name is Denise, and I joined the HJO family in 2021. I may be new to the orthodontic team, but I really enjoy getting to know all the patients and parents who come to our office. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the smiles on our patients faces when treatment is over. I am honored to be a part of this family.

I am very blessed to work alongside amazing doctors who not only value their patients, but their employees as well. I recently joined the HJO team as a lab assistant. My family moved to Magnolia in 05, and we have now been there for 17 years! I graduated from Magnolia West High School in 2018. My only children are my two dogs, a Shihtzu who is 6 and a Rat Terrier mix who is 17!
