Dr. Allen Hanenbaum is a registered pharmacist and a graduate of Georgetown University Dental School. He has been practicing in Silver Spring since 1965 and during that time has won numerous awards for dental and civic affairs. He was awarded a Fellowship in The Academy of General Dentistry in 1981.
Dr. Burt Pina Jr is a graduate of Boston University and worked for seven years as a psychologist prior to going to dental school. While attending Howard University Dental School, he won several honors including being inducted into The National Dental Honor Fraternity. His postdoctoral training includes an internship at the prestigious Mass General Hospital and Harvard University Community Health Plan Clinic.

The office staff is great! Brenda is the best hygienist, thorough but gentle. Dr. Pina always makes sure you are comfortable when he is performing procedures. I find the office is accommodating and usually running on time.

Great experience here ! The staff and MD were all so welcoming and nice. I recently moved to this area and was in need of s new dentist. I did a lot of research and decided to make an appointment with this office. The gentlemen at the front desk were very helpful & made sure all of my insurance information was correct. The dentist, dental assistant, and dental hygienist were very knowledgeable and helpful throughout my appointment. I am very happy with my decision on my new dentist.

The dentist and clinical staff are very competent and personable. However, as a deaf person who does not hear on the phone, I really am stymied by the front office's continued limited use of email. I have arranged a "work around" to reach the dentist. However, this is 2022 and email has to be a reasonable accommodation, PERIOD.
