Dr. David Handsman is a native of East Windsor, NJ, but has been in Worcester, MA since 2005. Dr. Handsman earned a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Temple University. Dr. Handsman received a Masters of Dental Surgery in periodontology from the University of Tennessee in 2005. While studying at the University of Tennessee, Dr. Handsman completed his Master's Thesis and contributed to research in microbiology and immunology.
As a respected member of the periodontal community, Dr. Handsman maintains memberships in numerous professional dental organizations including: a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Massachusetts Periodontal Society, Massachusetts Dental Society, Worcester District Dental Society (secretary 2006-2010, vice chair 2010-12, chair 2012-14), Central New England Dental Research Group, and he is a faculty study club member and study club leader for Spear Education.
In addition to maintaining numerous professional affiliations, Dr. Handsman shares his knowledge with his peers as a sought after lecturer in the field of periodontology. Dr. Handsman has served as an adjunct faculty member for Quinsigamond Community College School of Dental Hygiene since 2008, and has served on the Quinsigamond CC Foundation Board since 2017.
Outside the office, Dr. Handsman enjoys spending time with his loving parents, 2 brothers, 3 nieces and nephew. He is married and devoted to his wife, 3 step children and his daughter Livia Faye. Dr. Handsman is also an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys boating, hiking, water skiing and working out at the local YMCA.
Dr. Abraham Haddad has been practicing as a periodontist since 1971. He is a 1963 graduate of Boston Universitys College of Liberal Arts and went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University in 1967. He continued his graduate studies, completing a residency in the general practice of dentistry at the Memorial Hospital in 1968 and receiving his Certificate in Periodontology from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1971.
Highly respected in his profession, Dr. Haddad is dedicated to all aspects of dental practice including education and training, research, and community outreach. He has served as an assistant professor of clinical surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, a visiting lecturer at the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, an adjunct professor at the School of Dental Hygiene at Quinsigamond Community College, and the Chairman of the Division of Dental Medicine at Memorial Hospital.
As a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology and the International College of Oral Implantology, Dr. Haddad has demonstrated significant achievements in the practices of periodontics and implant dentistry. The American Board of Special Care Dentistry awarded Dr. Haddad their highest honor for his contributions to curriculum development and program implementation for the care of special needs patients. Currently, Dr. Haddad is on the staff at Saint Vincent Hospital and the University of Massachusetts Memorial Hospital where he is involved with initiating public oral health and wellness programs. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and numerous other local professional organizations.
Dr. Haddad resides in Worcester, Massachusetts, and has deep roots in his community, serving on numerous boards for organizations that support economic development and the arts. He is the Chair of Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives and is involved with the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, the Worcester Art Museum, and the Worcester Business Development Corporation, among many other organizations. In 2012, Dr. Haddad received the Isaiah Thomas Award for his outstanding contributions to cultural, social, and economic initiatives in Central Massachusetts.
Dr. Todd Jenny grew up in Southern California where he completed his undergraduate studies and earned a Bachelor of Science at the University of California, Irvine. He then attended dental school at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Jenny decided to continue his studies at the University of Florida, where he earned a Master of Science with a major in Periodontology. While at the University of Florida, Dr. Jenny successfully defended his Masters thesis which focused on research involving the role of toll-like receptor function in periodontal disease progression.
Dr. Jenny is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Dental Association. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He remains active in the dental community by attending several dental conferences each year and by presenting the findings of his research. During his residency at the University of Florida, Dr. Jenny enjoyed educating the dental students both by presenting lectures to them and also by mentoring them during their clinical procedures. Dr. Jenny is a guest lecturer locally and is a study club leader for Spear Education.

The best experience ever. I highly recommend this place. It's the best ever. All the staff, hygienist and dentist are amazing. I had gum graphing done. I was very nervous and crying over the phone. I came in and had the most amazing experience ever. If you need any kind of dental work done come here.

I had to get an implant done here. The doctors and staff were great! They did several follow up apts to make sure everything was healing properly. I even had to have a little reconstruction done which wasn't expected but was all included in my payment. The office was great!

Overall painless experience from start to finish! Don't doubt me; this is the place you want to go. I highly recommend! I am so grateful that my dentist referred me to Handsman & Haddad Periodontics, P.C. for a tooth extraction. Upon entering the beautiful, modern office, I was greeted immediately and was impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the office staff. My consult with Dr. Handsman went well and his assistant reviewed every detail with me. On the day of the extraction, I was a bit nervous because I never had a tooth pulled before. Dr. Handsman and his assistant allayed my fears. The procedure was flawless and painless! I was in and out of the office in less than one hour. How nice that I received a follow up call the next day to see how I was doing. I will continue with Dr. Handsman for a dental implant. Each person I interacted with was kind, friendly and professional. Each person knew what to do and performed their jobs with skill and confidence. Everyone worked so well together. Perfection! Don't doubt me; this is the place you want to go. I highly recommend!

Patient, Dorothy Mullen went there for a 2nd opinion....It was completely different than the one I had previous and he was correct..he said "I have some homework to do" I have never had a dentist say that to me...and he was right...When I went back he had it all figured out and went to work....I was at ease because I could feel he really really knew what he was talking about so I was confident and secure...pretty good for a dentist office...The work he did was perfect and NO PAIN whatsoever....he is a kind gentle person with lots of smarts. His office staff and workers are also exceptional..I loved going there and also calling with any questions...all and all I truly mean the 5 starts....that were deserved and earned!! I'm so grateful that my new dentist referred me to Dr Handsman. I presented him with a multi stage, complex project that he was happy to take on. Dr Handsman patiently explained each part of the process and made me feel comfortable from the beginning of my treatment. The front desk staff are friendly and really do a great job with scheduling and navigating insurance and billing. Every surgical assistant I encountered was caring, kind, and efficient during procedures and the aftercare was great. My " project" is complete and I'm very happy with the care that I recieved, and the outcomes of my treatment. Dr Handsman is amazing and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs an oral surgeon.

Excellent experience. I needed two implants and had been to many other places first. Dr. Handsman was awesome, as was his staff. It took a few years, but had my final check-up last week and everything is great! Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Handsman and all of his staff.Everyone was kind ,friendly and welcoming.I was quite nervous to have gum grafting done. Dr Handsman explained the procedure and after care well. Following his instructions, the procedure and days after were pain free! The practice followed me for a year after the procedure. I highly recommend this practice for any periodontal work anyone needs!! Thank you Dr Handsman and staff!!

I have had extensive experiences with many different dental specialists, and I was most impressed with this practice. The teeth requiring implants were all the way in the back of my very small mouth, but that didn't faze Dr. Handsman. "I like a challenge", he said. The whole process went very smoothly and painlessly, and was over in a short period of time. I was impressed by how friendly everyone was, making me feel at ease. Dr. Handsman had me return twice to check on the implants, and I was impressed by his caring and professionalism.

I have never been treated with such kindness, care, compassion and respect. I have yet to encounter a single staff member there that has treated me any differently than that. They are thorough in their work, they take their time, and they do it all with the best bed-side-manner! If I could give them 6 stars (or more) I absolutely would! I would highly recommend them to anyone needing dental services.

I have been very satisfied with the work that Dr David Handsman has done preparing me for three different, and quite difficult, implants. He is extremely careful and doesn't allow the implant to be inserted until he is absolutely certain that all of his work has healed and that the bone is strong enough to withstand the implant. The surgery he just approved for the implant was complicated by missing bone, and he was able to get new bone growth to begin, and an extended period of waiting for sufficient new growth to take place. The last two regions he has worked on have occurred during the Covid-19 period, so I want to mention how clean he and his staff have kept their facility. I have always felt safe in his office. I feel fortunate to have been recommended to Dr Handsman. and really cannot think of enough good things to say say about him, or the members of his staff.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Handsman and his staff. I had a fairly complicated multi-step procedure involving bone grafting and implants. I always felt informed about what was involved - how to prepare in advance, how best to recover, etc. - and that everyone was focused on my comfort and well-being along the way. I would definitely recommend him to others.

All staff are professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. I was well taken care of, and if addition periodontal care if needed i would not hesitate to return to this practice, nor would i willingly consider going to a different practice. I had a soft tissue transplant done on 8 teeth performed by Dr. Handsman. The entire process from start to finish was amazing. Dr. Hansman completed the surgery with minimal trauma to my mouth which aided the healing process. Within a day I was feeling great and able to eat. The entire staff is highly qualified and very friendly. I would highly recommend Handsman & Haddad Periodontics for their expertise and professionalism.
