Dr. Kenny M. Gomolplitinant, DMD is known as Dr. Kenny or Dr. G by his patients. He grew up in Los Angeles, CA where he attended college at the University of California, San Diego. He graduated with a B.S. in Human Biology and a M.S. in Biology. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University, College of Dental Medicine and now calls Chicago his home.
Dr. Kenny continues to nurture his passion for the field of dentistry and to continually stay abreast of all of the latest treatments. He attends continuing education courses whenever possible to stay current with new techniques and ways of making his patients healthier and their smiles brighter. He finds implant dentistry a rewarding field to practice in. He enjoys seeing his patients smiles and lives transformed by the use of dental implants. He also has extensive experience with Invisalign, wisdom teeth removal, crowns, fillings, cosmetic dentistry and minimal oral conscious sedation.

After insertion and during a healing period, the implants fuse with the jawbone in a process known as osseointegration. Once they are completely embedded, approximately three to six months after placement, a new tooth like restoration can be made.
Surprisingly, implants can support a full mouth restoration. Bone grafting does affect the timeline because an additional 6 to 9 months will then be required for the healing period.
When grafting is not advisable, the patient can opt for mini dental implants. These are smaller in diameter than a regular implant. Because they are smaller, they can be inserted into less dense bone.
