Dr. Kenny M. Gomolplitinant, DMD is known as Dr. Kenny or Dr. G by his patients. He grew up in Los Angeles, CA where he attended college at the University of California, San Diego. He graduated with a B.S. in Human Biology and a M.S. in Biology. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University, College of Dental Medicine and now calls Chicago his home.
Dr. Kenny continues to nurture his passion for the field of dentistry and to continually stay abreast of all of the latest treatments. He attends continuing education courses whenever possible to stay current with new techniques and ways of making his patients healthier and their smiles brighter. He finds implant dentistry a rewarding field to practice in. He enjoys seeing his patients smiles and lives transformed by the use of dental implants. He also has extensive experience with Invisalign, wisdom teeth removal, crowns, fillings, cosmetic dentistry and minimal oral conscious sedation.
His aim is to provide complete care for the whole family, whether it is routine cleaning and exams, cosmetic dentistry or anything in between. This care includes developing life-long relationships with his patients and their families in order to provide the best care possible.
Our practice has been caring for patients of the Villa Park area since Dr. Gregie first opened 40 years ago. Dr. Gomolplitinant has joined the team and our name has changed to Handcrafted Smiles, but our commitment to deliver extraordinary dental care to our patients remains.

They are screw like device of different sizes and shapes (both in diameter and length) that are inserted into a patient's jaw. After insertion and during a healing period, the implants fuse with the jawbone in a process known as osseointegration. Once they are completely embedded, approximately three to six months after placement, a new tooth like restoration can be made.
Surprisingly, implants can support a full mouth restoration. Artificial root restorations, of all of the similar treatments available, have proven to have the highest success rate - and they are very safe. They act just like natural teeth and could even be expected to last a lifetime by keeping up with normal dental care. This solution sometimes requires dental extraction when a patient still has his/her own natural teeth left.
The procedure involves one, or multiple (depending on how many teeth are being replaced) titanium posts being inserted using pressure controlled drills. Sometimes, the doctor may choose to do platform switching which using a thinner gauge implant to preserve alveolar bone levels around the posts.
In some cases, certain preparatory procedures are required before new artificial roots can be placed. If the patient has a deficient jawbone, as one example, a graft may be needed to strengthen its density and allow a strong base for the placement. Bone grafting does affect the timeline because an additional 6 to 9 months will then be required for the healing period.
When grafting is not advisable, the patient can opt for mini dental implants. These are smaller in diameter than a regular implant. Because they are smaller, they can be inserted into less dense bone.

So far so good I still have more work to be done on my teeth but I would have no problem recommending handcrafted smiles in Villa Park to anyone needing Dental Services. There's more work to be done that's why it's three stars and not four.

My 4 year old just got a cleaning here and they were great! Took their time and were so sweet to her. Her goody bag had a ton of stickers, bouncy ball, ect. They go above and beyond to make kids happy.

I have anxiety from a bad dentist experience in my past and I don't have to worry about that anymore with Handcrafted Smiles. I am respected and listened to when I walk in the door, the staff is professional, skilled, and empathetic. They verbalize everything they do to put the patient at ease. Really couldn't ask for a better experience and the work speaks for itself. The staff are also so helpful in getting me payment information and letting me know exactly what is or isn't covered. I really appreciate everyone here, people like me need these kind of dental offices and staff.

I have been going to this dentist office for at least 10 years. To my surprise there was a new dentist what a great experience I hate going to the dentist this dentist makes you feel more relaxed and explains everything and ask you if you have any questions or concerns. I will be definitely be sticking with this dentist. Dr Kenny is always worried about my pain level. There has also been a new addition to their practice Dr Alex she is truly amazing .

I wanted to find a dentist in villa park since I just moved in the area and my dental checkup was overdue. I have an unreasonable fear of dentists and I was dreading the visit at first. When I entered the office though, I was warmly welcomed by the front desk staff which, in turn, put me at ease a bit. The dentist frequently inquired about my comfort during my procedure. They were quick to respond to any questions I have. The office has a modern design, was clean, and equipped with up-to-date technology and devices. I'm glad I read the other reviews about this office and decided to schedule an appointment with them.

I was experiencing a throbbing pain on my molar so I immediately searched for an emergency dentist near me. My time with handcrafted smiles was fantastic. The office is well-kept and the personnel is kind. They took an x-ray of my affected tooth then told me that it can still be saved via root canal. The dentist then proceeded to explain to me the procedures of my root canal therapy which was a plus because personally, I want to be aware of what they'll do during my procedure. It took me 2 appointments before my treatment was completed and now I'm free fromt the pain!

Dr. G and his crew are exceptional. They show you a degree of care, thoughtfulness, and compassion that I haven't experienced before in my previous dental clinic. My broken tooth was immediately fixed through root canal which, by the way, was surpisingly painless. I was expecting a bit of pain during the procedure but I didn't feel anything at all so I was comfortable all the way. The dedication of the staff towards their patient really amazes me. I searched for a good dentist near me and came across handcrafted smiles. After checking out their website as well as reading the reviews, I decided to make an appointment with them. When I visited, I was warmly welcomed by the front desk staff. I didn't have to wait that long before I was accommodated. The dentist did a good job with my fillings so I was pretty satisfied with it. Appointments are simple to schedule and the level of service is excellent. Will come and visit again if I ever need more dental care in the future.
