I feel blessed to be a dentist in such a wonderful community. I love what I do. I dont look at it as a job, but more as my calling. Every day I have the opportunity to help people, and occasionally change their lives. It fills me with joy to see how a new smile can bring out a new personality and confidence in a person.
I like to think that our office reflects my personality. I like that when patients come here, they dont feel scared or judged. They dont feel intimidated because thats not who I am as a person. I just carry out conversation and tell people Relax, Im not going to hurt you. Im here to help you and youre going to leave here happy.
My approach comes from when I was a kid. I hated going to the dentist because I was afraid of shots and pain. Those past experiences always made me think there has to be a better way of doing this. I think the biggest misconception in dentistry today is that its the same as it was 30 years ago. That is not the case, and here at Hancock Village Dental, we are showing our patients that we can make things much more comfortable for them.
Dr. Kasem was always interested in being a doctor and had a passion for the arts. He realized dentistry is the perfect combination of both. He now helps people improve their health while also giving them a smile that will light up the room. Dr. Kasem, or Dr. K, was born and raised in Orlando. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. He furthered his education by achieving a Master's in Human Nutrition and a Masters in Biomedicine. Dr. Kasem then fulfilled his dream of becoming a dentist by graduating from the prestigious University of Florida College of Dentistry.
Early in his career, Dr. Kasem found a desire to serve those in need. For two years, he worked as an assistant and trainer at ACORN Dental Clinic, which serves underprivileged people in North Central Florida. In recent years, he served on several humanitarian mission trips to Guatemala and Ecuador. There, he traveled into the mountains to reach rural villages, where he and his colleagues provided dental care to those in need.
Dr. Kasem has practiced in Clermont for the past five years. He enjoys meeting new patients and joking around with old patients. His passion lies in cosmetic dentistry and smile makeovers [link for smile gallery]. When he's not in the office, you can find Dr. Kasem spending time with his wife and two beagles, Junior and Max.He enjoys traveling, CrossFit, home improvement projects, sushi, and college football.
Excellent staff. I have been to a lot of dentists over my years, but this staff was the best ever. Very Impressed. The hygenist taught me a lot about my teeth that I never knew. The office was extremely clean and used modern technology. I was seen in a very timely manner and didn't have to wait at all. I highly recommend going to this practice!
For a child to say he is so excited to see the dentist is a GO for me as a mom. The atmosphere is just awesome and so friendly. The staff is phenomenal and family oriented. This is where you should be for your dental needs.

I posted a review about a year ago, but wanted to follow up since there's some new staff, including an additional dentist. The service is still exceptional as it always has been. The ladies up front remember my name and greet me like family which always makes my day. The dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth recently was also phenomenal!! He was super gentle and thorough during my treatment. And lastly, Dr. Nguyen, the new dentist and his assistant were literal angels. I usually have some anxiety when I get work done, but Dr. Nguyen was very informative, communicative, and friendly throughout my filling which makes the process much easier for me. He is seriously just as wonderful as Dr. Kasem!! I sincerely can't recommend this office enough. I moved recently an hour away, but I still will make the drive because I really don't trust anyone else. I have been to other dentists who were either degrading, straight up lied about needing work that I didn't, or both. This office is honest, genuinely cares about your health, and just wants to fix any potential problems. Do you and your teeth a favor, and go see them!

My family and I have been receiving excellent dental care from Hancock Village Dental for the last 2 years. I cannot say enough great things about the entire team here. They are extraordinarily kind and gentle. The entire team really does look out for your best interests as a patient. They do not recommend services or products that are unnecessary nor do they price gouge. Recently they have added a new dentist to the team; Dr Nuyen. He is equally as amazing as Dr Kasem. He too is 100% invested in quality care. The office team is as amazing as the dental team here. We are always greeted with a sincere welcome. Dental appointments used to be dreaded and unpleasant in the past for us. As weird as this sounds we look forward to our appointments. I am so grateful to have found these amazing people.

I came here because the last dental office left me feeling scarred from the way I continued to look and embarrassed when they refused to fix or see me after continuous cancelled appointments from their part...so, I was not expecting much here at Hancock Village, but the minute I walked in I felt like I just entered someone's home instead of an office; from the personal pictures on their walls of the entire team and the dentist himself, to the relaxed atmosphere and to top it off, the warm way everyone received me...I felt so welcomed. In spite of this, I had my reservations and arguing with myself in my mind that they were too nice, too good to be true. Dr. Kasem explained the options, wanted to know what I was looking for; my expectations, my story, pretty much my life! He took his time getting to know me...and this was on the very first visit! He even gave me a glimpse of his life and I quickly learned that what really mattered to him was his patients. Dr. Kasem just got finished restoring my smile today and to be honest, the person in that mirror was someone else...I never thought it was possible for someone to make me look whole again in such a short time span; and this is just the beginning because I still have more dental work to do but I am so elated, so over the moon and so moved by what type of person he is and everyone in his dental office! If I had a mean bone in my body I would pass by the other dental place who refused to do right by me and tell all of them with my biggest smile "Hey! this is what a real professionals work looks like! I am so tempted!!!! I again will get to smile and not be obligated to walk around work with a mask while others don't..I already feel like a part of this world again and thanks from the bottom of my heart with a huge SHOUT out to DR. KASEM, his wife and the entire team at HANCOCK VILLAGE DENTAL! Love you guyzzzz!!!!!

The entire staff ensures you are pain free from the first call , luckily the receptionist didn't just say no we're not taking new patients til January (4 months out) but after hearing my situation said "we can't have you in pain" and set an appointment the very next day with Dr. Nyguen .. Let me also include I had no dental insurance...(which they helped me save over $2,000 ) Dr. Nyguen and staff evaluation revealed I needed antibiotics as I had 2 severely broken teeth and the temporary crown I had for 16 months needed to be replaced with a permanent crown. .... All I can say is I'm extremely grateful for their Effectiveness in the diagnosis and treatment.... one visit , It was 4 hours but on tooth number 3 complete root canal with a rod installed and permanent Crown and on tooth number 30 they replaced the Crown. ....apparently I'm extremely sensitive an Doctor took the time to re-administer the numbing agents til I had zero flinching .. Pain Free.. They actually did all of this in one visit!!!! I drove myself home with 2 new crowns !!! Amazing Thank you Dr .Kasem on my second visit we knew you guys weren't able to save my upper left molar but in less than an HOUR you were able to relieve the painful infectious tooth with NO PAIN or blood for that matter.. . Thank you to your whole staff from the people taking x-rays and being your assistant and cleaning your teeth and making sure everything is in order and up-to-date... thank you for sparing no expense in having the most modern equipment there to make this as painless as possible and getting everything done in one visit.. you and your staff are all amazing thank you ,thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart!! Words can't convey, How Amazing Dr Kasem, and ALL of those working for him truly are! They are extremely Professional Honest, knowledgeable, Friendly, and always make sure you are comfortable. There are No surprises. You are always well informed of costs and procedures, they do Not do unnecessary work. My wife, children and I have been going to Dr Kasem and his Amazing team, for six years now. They always make us feel like we are there for a visit with good friends instead of a dentist appointment. I recently had an implant installed, Dr Kasem and his assistant Lindsey, did an INCREDIBLE job, from start to finish. Lindsey actually made most of the implant in house, and I was blown away of the craftsmanship and skill it took to make it match and fit perfectly! Again words cannot convey how amazing Dr Kasem and his whole team truly are! Thank you all so much!

Take good care of my kids As if they were their own....very helpful anytime I call. My son broke his front permanent teeth when he was young and after wearing bonding for years, at age 15, my son now has his crowns and a gorgeous new smile!

My husband, daughter & myself have been going here for a couple of years. Dentist & staff have always been excellent. Dr. Acosta was excellent and very personable but he is no longer there. Dr. Kasem is there now and some of the same staff. Dr. Kasem and all the staff there are fabulous. He is super gentle and explains everything he will need to do. He is also very personable and makes you feel happy you chose to come back after Dr. Acosta left. I highly recommend Dr. Kasem and his staff. Don't know where to go? Please, give them a try, you will become a patient and friend for a long time. 7-19-22 UPDATED This dental office is simply the very best! Dr. Kasem is an extremely caring person with a very positive personality and FABULOUS dentist. He actually listens to his patients and gets to know them. You are NOT a number in this office. His staff, all of them, are fabulous as well. My husband and I have been going to him for several years and it is always a wonderful experience. YES, I said wonderful. I recently broke a molar in half and he was out for vacation and I waited a whole week for him. I didn't want to go anywhere else. He was able to repair it and put a crown over it in less than 2 hours. I must say it was ALL painless. If you need a dentist, look no further. Dr. Kasem and his staff are where you should go. Please do not hesitate to give his office a call if you are looking for the best dentist and staff.

Dr. Kasem and ALL of his staff represent the "cadillac" of dental care. He is the best dentist I have ever seen and certainly the ONLY ONE that I am not afraid of. He assures me that he will not hurt me and he never has. He explains each procedure as he is doing it which helps me to relax. He uses the latest in dental technology. At Hancock Village Dental you are family. When I walk in the door I know that I am in a happy place! The office atmosphere is inviting, friendly, relaxing and professional. Highestratingratpossible!

I am a chicken at the dentist and my hygienist Holly is so gentle with me. The office is relaxing with soft music and nature drone videos to watch on tv while my teeth are being cleaned. Dr. Kasem and the whole staff make it a pleasant experience from start to finish. So glad I found them!

I have been going to this office now for about 5 years, and from the day I walked in they have been the most welcoming people, everyone of them and it have been that way up to today. I am not the worst or the best patient but it has always been a great outcome going there. Their work is great never had to return because of a problem. And I took my two nieces 5&6 years old and it was great for them. Keep up the good work and I will be there again in a few months.

March 20, 2022 It was 4 years ago that I wrote my 5 star review of Dr Kasem and his Dental Practice. My only regret today is that Google doesn't allow for 10 stars. No one likes it much going to the dentist, but when you go to someone like Dr Kasem or Holly or anyone else in the practice, the pain is less. Leaders tend to hire people like themselves, and that is so evident with this practice. Everyone is incredible competent, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. I said it 4 years ago and I will say it again, YOU WILL NOT BE UNHAPPY WITH YOUR DENTAL EXPERIENCE USING DR KASEM. EVER. EVER. EVER. ======> 4 YEARS AGO, 2018 <========= I met Dr Kasem when he was at a large dental practice located in the Clermont area. I immediately liked him, even though I only had two visits with him about six months ago. I also knew I would follow him anywhere. Well, he did in fact go into private practice and I was excited to learn that he accepted TriCare. I immediately made my semi-annual appointment with him. Dr Kasem is the kind of dentist that makes you feel 100% comfortable, both in his personality and in his incredible technical abilities. He is kind and incredibly professional. He won't try to sell you on a procedure that you don't need, but on the other hand, he can depend on him to not cut corners to save you or himself a few dollars. There aren't enough positive words to adequately how I feel about this dentist. I can't leave this review without commenting on the young lady that cleaned my teeth, Holly. Like Dr Kasem, she is fun, professional, and incredibly competent. In fact, the whole staff is simply a cut above what you might expect. Give Dr Kasem and his staff a try, I can personally attest to the fact that you will not be unhappy. Dr Kasem and his staff are simply the best.

I have been one of Dr. Kasem's patients since 2016! He is compassionate, caring, and always goes above and beyond for his patients. His office staff is the best in town and will ensure that they do everything in their power to help you out. Also, the music and the videos make for the most peaceful atmosphere! This place is a little slice of heaven in the dentistry world.
