Deeply inspired by preventative dental medicine, Dr. Han completed his residency in pediatric dentistry at New York University and Bellevue Hospital Center. While in New York City, he enjoyed treating the many needs of a diverse and bustling metropolitan community. Dr. Han opened this practice in his home neighborhood in 2015, and he loves to share his passion in helping families play an active part in their own preventative oral health care. Every year, Dr. Han volunteers with the San Francisco Department of Public Health in performing dental screenings for thousands of K-5 students enrolled in SFUSD schools.
Dr. Han is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and serves on the medical staff at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC). He maintains more than double the amount of continuing education required for licensure to stay up to date on evidence-based clinical best practices. Dr. Han also previously served as an assistant clinical professor at UCSF and on the board of directors of both the San Francisco Dental Society and the Lowell High School Alumni Association.

Doctor Han has always made our son feel comfortable during his dental visits. He explains what he's doing to both us as parents and to our son, which also brings ease to the visits. He also provides excellent dental education to keep our son free of cavities. The office & support staff is also top notch -- professional, kind, and welcoming. Finally, office staff and Dr. Han are prompt with responding to email & phone inquiries, which is important in maintaining patient trust and loyalty.

Visited Dr. Han for a new patient appt for my two year-old. Receptionist was very welcoming, nice, and efficient. Didn't have to wait long to see Dr. Han. Appreciated how thorough Dr. Han was in explaining the process and examination as well as his tips to help brush my child's teeth. My son usually gets a little timid, but felt very comfortable and was calm throughout the whole thing! Definitely will be coming back, thanks Dr. Han and team!

Dr Han has been an exceptional part of our daughter's dental health. He is proactive about his recommendations and makes our daughter feel comfortable during her visits. She enjoys going to the dentist. We learned early on that our daughter has more brittle and sensitive teeth, which means we have to be extra careful about the types of food she eats. Our daughter has been seeing Dr Han since she was 2 and she is now 6. At home, she feels empowered to take control of her own dental hygiene and does her best to choose the right foods to maintain clean and healthy teeth. His offices are always so clean. His staff is always so friendly. I also appreciate that all of his paperwork can be done digitally before we come to our visits.

Dr. Han and team are excellent! Dr. Han has such an easy way with children. He takes the time to explain what he is doing which immediately puts your child at ease. My children have been seeing Dr. Han for a few years now and they couldn't be happier - each visit is such a positive experience.

Dr. Han is very thorough. There's never a wait and I like that he's not distracted since he only has one family in the office at a time. The billing is also super clear and straight forward. Keep up the good work Dr. Han!

My son really looks forward to his visits with Dr. Han! Dr. Han always spends a lot of time explaining what he is doing and makes sure my son is in the loop. The office itself is great and very thoughtfully designed with lots of awesome kid friendly art. The entire team is wonderful and provides top notch, age appropriate care during each visit. I cannot recommend this practice enough!

Kind, patient staff across the board. They made the process seamless and were very communicative. My daughter was calm throughout the visit in spite of a rather rushed arrival. Highly recommend!

Dr Han is awesome! So kind and patient and calming. I was shocked that my 2 year old let him poke around her mouth for as long as he did. He was also great about giving us tips and nutritional advice to avoid cavities I hadn't thought about. He is absolutely worth the 30-min drove across town and I highly recommend him. May 2021 update - My child is now 5.5 years old and we still love seeing Dr Han. I wish he accepted adults! I appreciate the sound dental advice he's given us over the years and his friendly way with kids. His office is clean, organized and has ceiling mounted TVs to keep the kids occupied during their cleanings. I recommend Dr Han to all of my friends. June 2022 update - Still the best pediatric dentist in SF! Dr. Han and his staff are warm, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to engage with. We learn something new at each visit and tips for kids apply to adults as well.

Dr Han and team made my kids' first visit to their office such an easy one. From the moment we walked in they were all so friendly and aware of the kids being apprehensive as kids can be. The office decor and gentle attitude of the staff quickly made my kids feel better and more at home. The exams themselves were just as well done and so much less stressful than I thought they'd be. Dr Han himself was very informative and passionate about dental care which I appreciated. He knows how to handle a squirmy or worried kid. The silly songs and methods he uses to distract and calm kids were very effective. All in all a wonderful experience and I plan to stick with his office from here on out.

We love bringing our 2 kids (2yo and 6yo) to see Dr. Han! He and the staff do a great job helping them feel comfortable and welcomed before starting. Dr. Han and his staff created a comfortable environment for my young son during his first checkup. As the parent, I found Dr. Han's approach to be warm and open - answering my questions, giving useful tips, and not lecturing. When we left, my toddler son exclaimed "He's a great dentist!".

We love pediatric dentists in general for our kids but Dr Han is very personable, professional and takes the time to have a one on one conversation about each child's teeth + care. I have 3 kids and have taken them a number of dentist from Daly City to several around SF. I recommend him to all my friends with kids and why wouldn't I? Make an appt and you can see for yourself.

Absolutely incredible experience. Dr. Han was very sensitive to my daughter's recent trauma and did an amazing job of making her feel comfortable and enjoy her first visit to the dentist. Would highly recommend to anyone, even (especially!) if you have an anxious child.
