It is with pride, love, and eagerness that we have some very exciting news to share with you! We want to welcome Dr. Ariel Winter, the 4th generation of Winter Dentists and Dr. Ricks daughter, to our practice this summer!

This photo represents the continued legacy of dentistry in Milwaukee! Since 1922, our family has been providing dentistry to our Milwaukee Family! We are excited to Welcome Ariel S. Winter, DDS into our practice in July 2020 after her Advanced Education General Dentistry in Alabama!

Dr. Richard Winter graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1988. He is an avid student having achieved the prestigious Mastership Award in the Academy of General Dentistry. This award is given after taking over 1000 hours of continuing education and participation courses and passing a rigorous examination. Dr. Winter has also been awarded a Fellowship, Mastership and Diplomate award in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Winter just became certified in the ABOI/ID: American Board of Oral Implantologists/Implant Dentistry in 2014. The ABOI/ID Diplomate designation symbolizes the highest level of competence in implant dentistry. Certification by the ABOI/ID attests to the fact that a dentist has demonstrated knowledge, ability, and proficiency in implant dentistry through a rigorous written and oral examination process. Dr. Winter also was conferred Fellowship in the AAID or American Academy of Implant Dentistry, one of the pre-eminent dental implant awards. Dr. Winter has the highest certification in Laser dentistry achieving Diplomate status in the American Board of Laser Surgery. Fellowship awards in the Academy of Dentistry International and the International College of Dentists have also been conferred upon Dr. Winter for his standing in the dental community and community outreach work.

Dr. Winter has lectured on advanced reconstructive and implant dentistry throughout the country and Canada and has published several articles on Upgradeable Dentistry, Advanced Treatment Planning, Reconstructive and Implant Dentistry and General Dentistry As A Specialty. He has also received recognition from the Expert Network as a Distinguished Doctor and has been named a Top Dentist in Milwaukee from Milwaukee Magazine for over 10 years in a row. Dr. Winter is thrilled to have had his daughter; Dr. Ariel Winter join the practice after completing her residency in advanced surgery, general dentistry and implant dentistry and they have collaborated on articles together! Dr. Winters son is getting his Masters in Finance at the University of WI. Madison. Dr. Winter loves hiking and traveling with his wife of 31years, Jackie.

Jaclyn also helps at Hampton Dental Associates and they enjoy biking and cooking together. Dr. Rick is also an MMA (mixed martial arts) judge and has judged for the UFC, K-1 and other Kickboxing and martial arts promotions. He practiced and taught various martial arts for 35 years. He enjoys hiking, pickle ball and running his food blog on Instagram @Milwaukeefoodking supporting local restaurants.

Dr. Ariel believes oral health is just the beginning to creating a happy, healthy life. Dr. Ariel loves involving her patients in treatment decisions from beginning to end, from teaching cavity prevention to crafting a beautiful smile.

Dr. Ariel graduated Cum Laude from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2019 and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Birmingham, Alabama in 2020. At this program, she learned advanced surgical techniques such as dentoalveolar surgery, bone grafting, implant placement, and IV sedation. She received a Bachelor of Science in Spanish and Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015. Dr. Ariel is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Chicago Dental Society. She has volunteered on dental mission trips to Jamaica and Wisconsins Mission of Mercy, providing free dental care to those in need.

Dr. Ariel is honored to be joining the family practice as the first woman dentist in four generations! She looks forward to treating patients of all ages and caring for your family as the Winter family has for nearly 100 years.

As of April 2020, Dr. Bruce Winter retired from Hampton Dental Associates. He will be greatly missed by all of us here at the practice, and we wish him all of the best in his retirement! Dr. Ariel Winter, Dr. Rick Winters daughter, will be providing continued care for Dr. Bruces patients, as well as offering new procedures such as I.V. sedation, implant placement and restoration and reconstructive dentistry. Dr. Ariel recently completed a prestigious implant residency program, and we are thrilled to have her on board. We invite all of Dr. Bruces patients to come in to meet Dr. Ariel and continue the dentistry that Dr. Bruce initiated. Welcome, Dr. Ariel!

Dr. Ariel and Dr. Richard Winter are currently working together and represent the third and fourth generation of Winter dentists working at Hampton Dental Associates and serving our Wisconsin patients. Dr. Bruces son Jeremy is a fourth generation dentist in Chicago and Dr. Ariel is at Hampton Dental associates. Dr. Ariel graduated 96 years after Dr. Morris started his dental practice in Milwaukee. Our practice would not be what it is today without the love and mentorship of Dr. Charles F. Winter. A consummate student, Dr. Winter was always attending continuing education, providing orthodontics to his patients and loving his profession for over 40 years! We know the success of our practice is because of our patients! We are committed to serving our patients both new and established and look forward to providing optimal dental health to your family! Dr. Richard Winter has published numerous articles on reconstructive, implant, and cosmetic dentistry in many of dentistrys leading Journals including Dentistry Today and Inside Dentistry. He was awarded the cover of Dentistry today in November of 2013 for his article on Advanced Treatment Planning. Dr. Richard lectures on Upgradeable Dentistry, which is a philosophy he teaches to help his patients sequentially improve their dentistry according to their personal, financial and personal needs.

Dr. Richard Winter is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry; which required over a 1100 hours of continuing education. At least 400 hours must be participation based courses and 600 hours must be earned in 12 different dentaldisciplines and passing a rigorous Fellowship exam. He is also a Diplomate in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists; which required a Fellowship Award, a Mastership Award and a written and oral examination to achieve the Diplomate Award. Dr. Richard also holds Fellowship awards in the Academy of Dentistry International and the International College of Dentists. He is on the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Academy of General Dentistry helping to bring continuing education to Wisconsin Dentists. Dr. Rick is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American, Wisconsin and Greater Milwaukee Dental Associations, the Chicago Dental Society, and Alpha Omega dental fraternity.
