A practicing dentist in Provo, Utah, since 1996, cosmetic dentist Dr. Chris Hammond is well known for his talents in both general and cosmetic dentistry. The award-winning Dr. Chris Hammond was recently interviewed by Randy Alvarez on The Wellness Hour. Dr. Chris Hammond is a graduate of Brigham Young University and the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry, where he graduated with the highest honors while receiving a doctorate of medical dentistry. He has lectured on both the local and national levels including the Yankee Dental Congress in Boston Massachusetts. Dr. Hammond has been a featured author in Dental Practice and Finance, and his practice has been highlighted in many of the leading dental publications including Dental Economics, Dentistry Today, The Dental Success Newsletter, Dental Practice Report, and The Independent Dentist. He also is a graduate of the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum, one of the worlds most prestigious cosmetic dental education programs, and has served as a Clinical Research Associates evaluator of new dental products since 1996. In 2003, cosmetic dentist Dr. Hammond became a clinical instructor with the well-known Hornbrook Group, a group of leading-edge cosmetic dentists whotravel the country teaching cosmetic dentistry to other dentists.
Dr. Hammond is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, California Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Utah Dental Association, and the Crown Council, where he is a lifetime qualified member.
Dr. Harris received his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University before attending the University of Texas Health at San Antonio School of Dentistry where he graduated with honors in his Doctorate in Dental Surgery program. He has received both clinical and volunteer awards including the American College of Prosthodontics Outstanding Undergraduate Achievement, UT Health San Antonio Comprehensive Dental, and Presidential Volunteer Service Awards. His professional associations include the American and Utah Dental Associations and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Harris brings a unique expertise to our practice including his experience with the most up to date technologies in dentistry. He has training in intraoral scanning and crown design for restorative and implant dentistry, implant placement including surgical guide design and printing, surgical and non-surgical extractions, root canal therapy, pre-prosthetic surgery, functional and esthetic crown lengthening, and esthetic crowns and veneers. He is also a certified Invisalign provider.
As a third-generation dentist, dentistry has always been a major part of my life. My grandfather (general dentist) and my father (oral surgeon) showed me what it meant to serve others and sacrifice for those in our community. Through their examples and with my experience as a patient of Dr. Hammonds I knew I wanted to make dentistry my profession. Best dentist ever! We didn't love our dentist, so when we moved across town I decided to switch to Dr. Hammond because of his good Google reviews, but does anyone really love the dentist?? That was my state of mind at first.. my kids and I all needed cleanings but my 5 year-old had been complaining of a toothache so I wanted to get her in ASAP. So I called and even as a new patient, they got me in that very day! He looked at her tooth and saw a big cavity. Now, this little girl of mine has MAJOR dentist anxiety and was so stressed to even have him look in her mouth. He was SO kind about it, and after seeing her big cavity and her anxiety, recommended that I take her to a pediatric dentist that he takes his own children to, and didn't even bill me for the visit -- totally free just because he didn't want to exacerbate her fears and wanted her to learn to love the dentist, even if that dentist wasn't him! Later that week the rest of us came in for our cleanings and it was such a great experience. My other kids all loved it; the hygienists were so sweet and the kids room put them all at ease. When my 8 year-old found out she didn't have to come back for 6 months she actually cried from disappointment! Then a couple of weeks later, a spacer that my 8 year-old had put in by our previous dentist started coming loose and was hurting her. Once again Dr. Hammond squeezed us in the same day, popped it off very quickly and didn't charge us for the visit. Seriously so kind!! A couple of other highlights: beautiful lobby with lots of complimentary snacks (huge hit with my kids), instead of a cheap toothbrush I got a new Sonicare brush head that I will actually USE because I have a Sonicare toothbrush, we've been there 4 times now and I have never once had to wait more than a couple minutes for anything at all so it seems like they run a very good schedule! At my old dentist I felt like every step of the process I had to wait 10 minutes which added up to so much of my time wasted and appointments that would take hours. So, when I thought that it wasn't really possible to love a dentist, that was before I had been to Dr. Hammond. The office is gorgeous, the staff is fantastic, and you can tell that he truly loves his job and his patients. Absolutely floored by the level of service we have received there -- we will be patients for life!

I am so appreciative to Paula for being the kindest, most professional person I've ever dealt with at a dental office! She appears to be a good indicator of the level of care Dr Hammond's office provides for their patients, because Shay and Dr Harris were both absolutely phenomenal at my appointment today. I have a lot of trauma and anxiety surrounding dental visits and historically poor experiences with other dentists. Subsequently, I have quite a bit of work to be done after years of avoiding the dentist due to affordability and anxiety. This had me terrified of taking that first step, but if you're reading this and you're anything like me... Pick up the phone and make your appointment. Your situation is definitely not going to improve and will only worsen the longer you are in denial and practicing avoidance. There will be ZERO judgement from this staff-- or at least they'll be really good at hiding it-- which is more than enough for me! Shay especially cares SO much about her patient's comfort. Having said that, I respect that she won't pull any punches and will tell you like it is so you can be informed the whole way through on your path to overall wellness.

For over 30 years I have dreamed of having a smile I love and I can finally say I have that because of this wonderful team! Dr.Hammond is a true artist at what he does and takes everything into consideration to ensure perfection. His team is, by a landslide, the epitome and hospitality. The entire office is smiling, welcoming, and make you feel like you've known them forever and are close friends. Dr.Hammond is the real MVP.

I have never in my life experienced such a high level of office staff and the Dr. Hammond's execution in any sort of medical office. The staff is so welcoming and extremely accommodating I traveled 3-4 hours each way for my appointments and it was absolutely worth it. 10/10 would recommend and beyond that his results are the best in the business. The veneers turned out amazing.

Dr. Hammond and his staff are truly the best of the best. In my job and my life I strive to perform with perfection. I work with my own customers and clients and I make every effort to hear, understand and surpass their expectations. I have never had a dentist who made me feel like he was really interested in doing exactly what I wanted and/or needed -- until Dr. Hammond! He carefully listens! He clearly communicates! He actually cares! And even more important than that, he is brilliant in his field. He is fluent in cutting edge procedure, technology, and materials. He's an artist and perfectionist who serves his patients with sincere commitment to the patient's best interest. Each member of Dr. Hammond's staff is exactly the same way. They are kind and careful. They figure out ways to help their individual patients feel more comfortable. They each perform their jobs and responsibilities with precise expertise. It is clear that every one of them genuinely cares about their patients. I have not found this superior level of service and commitment anywhere else. I couldn't be happier and I highly recommend Dr. Hammond and this group of professionals.

I found Dr Hammond through Google reviews and I couldn't be happier! All those five star reviews are spot on. Due to poor enamel and poor dental health, I was in need of full mouth restoration. After many, many years of tooth loss, what felt like hundreds of root canals I was at the end of my rope. Dr Hammond and his staff, make you feel like family. My experience was incredible. I have recommended him to family and friends with full confidence. I recommend Dr Hammond to you too! I am thrilled with my beautiful teeth. Dr. Hammond and his team are truly the most amazing people I have ever met! I was searching for a dentist to do my veneers. Everywhere I looked I was always finding Dr. Hammond as one of the best cosmetic dentists. I will say he absolutely with out a doubt is the BEST dentist! I recently had my veneers done and the process could not have gone any better. Dr. Hammond and his team take their time to answer all of your questions or concerns. If I could leave a 10 star review I would. Dr. Hammond is amazing at what he does. From the very beginning of the process I felt comfortable with the process, his attention to detail was impecable and his staff was fantastic. We designed my smile together, I wore temporaries for 2 weeks and had 0 pain, then we put the final veneers on. He personally texted me to check in and make sure I was doing okay and liked every detail of my smile the whole way through. Everyone is friendly and welcoming at his office, appts were easy to schedule and I had 0 discomfort or worry about what the end results would be. My smile turned out perfect, it's exactly how I wanted and looks so natural that it's still me. This guy is the best in the business, don't go anywhere else!

The dentist is the LAST place I want to spend my time and money and have been putting off dental work for years. Met Dr. Hammond through work, and he did some convincing for me to come in for my dental work and because I was considering veneers. Not only did he make it as pleasant and painless of an experience as possible, his office space and staff were also top notch. I never thought going to the dentist could feel like a "luxury" experience, but somehow that's exactly what it's like every time you step foot in his office. Now I not only have a healthy, but absolutely beautiful (and natural looking) smile. There is no one else I would recommend to my family and friends for general or aesthetic dentistry needs. Job well done, friends!

This review has been a long time coming, but maybe it's important for prospective patients to understand that Dr. Hammond and his staff's hard work stands the test of time. My dental health has been an issue for most of my life. Almost 3 years ago I had 8 crowns installed and it transformed my smile. My overall health has improved too. You can do your own research on that. I was nervous my chompers might look unnatural or cause further dental problems but Dr. Hammond's expertise is unparalleled in Utah County. His work somehow managed to make me feel like myself again. Beyond that, and probably the most important part: I've been using these puppies practically 24/7 ever since I got 'em. I feel confident eating crunchy food again, and in a scuffle these biters will leave quite a mark. They're just as perfect now. Finally, Dr. Hammond's staff are especially helpful and understanding- they truly leave judgement at the door. Whether your hurdles are hygienic or financial, they are earnest in finding you solutions. They've helped me through weekend toothaches/emergency appointments, gum health improvement, and one tumultuous break up. Thank you all and I'm sorry I keep forgetting to schedule my next appointment.

I can not recommend Dr. Hammond enough! Veneers is an investment so I knew I had to pick the right dentist. I did a lot of research and found him through Instagram and completed a virtual smile design consultation. His work was so impressive and natural and once I met him and his staff I knew I was in good hands. The process is three appointments and I was an out of state patient and flew all the way to see him, he's that good! Tracy was very informative through out my consultation and put me at ease and is so sweet. She has worked with Dr. Hammond for a long time so you know he's a admirable dentist. Demri assisted Dr. Hammond through the veneer process and she's such a bright light and reassured me with any questions I had and made me feel comfortable through the entire process. If you are looking to get veneers done with Dr. Hammond you will not regret it!
