Dr. George J. Trakakis, DDSgraduated from Loyola University of Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine. He has over 26 years of experience in all aspects of dentistry with specialties including endodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants.
Dr. Rebecca is our full time general dentist. She graduated from Midwestern University Dental School in 2019. She is a member of The Chicago Dental Society and The Illinois State Dental Society. She is passionate about caring for patients on a comprehensive level. Her favorite areas of dentistry include pediatric and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Rebecca grew up in the Joliet area and currently lives here as well. Her and her husband are expecting their first child. While not at the office, she enjoys spending time with family. She also loves to play with her Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy, Luna.

I love this dental office, walking in the people at the desk are very friendly. I love the hygienist she was very funny and cleaned the heck out of my teeth, she took her time and care and made sure I was right when I left. The dentist came and checked my teeth very gentle and very kind. My daughter loves the dentist as well. This place is top notch and I have been coming here for years. I don't think I can trust anyone else to help me with my dental needs. Hammes Family Dental is the best!!! Thanks Guys!!!

I'm new to the area and so thankful to have found Hammes Family Dental and Dr. Jans D.M.D. The staff is warm, welcoming, and professional. They went out of there way to help me, providing exceptional customer service. I felt at home right away. Also, they don't over-treat and do only what is needed, which I greatly appreciate. Love this dentist and plan to go there from now on!
